Many of the people from those islands were also evacuated to PR after Irma hit, before Maria.

I don't know how it feels to go through that so I hope they can build their lives back up. I know alot of good Puerto Ricans and they have famalies that were affected so I wish them well.

Listening to Thom Hartmann and he was just speaking about an anonymous source that was in on the big conference call between the white house, fema,national guard, coast guard, etc. last Monday.
Each group was giving updates of there plan.

It baffles my mind that we continue to have to remind people of this... Would people act the same if Hawaii was devastated like PR.. even though Hawaii only became a State in 1959.
Hawaii has an estimated population of over 1 million... While Puerto Rico has over 3 million freaking people.

I do understand if your connected to PR via friends, family, vacational interests etc....but it way way deeper than just them....
Fucking St. Thomas, Dominica, St. Croix etc...wasn't even able to start "CLEANING" from Irma when Maria hit. Shit I'll like to believe a island or two may have got blindsided from Maria because communications were damaged from Irma. A former coworker have talked to his family since the morning before Irma hit St. Croix.
So again im not just trying to shit on anyone feelings about PR or anything just saying there's plenty other folks that's struggling in the Atlantic.
*also remember PR ain't the only us territory out there...

Man one day my daughter text me about the YouTube couple from Texas. The guy cheated on the wife, she was kinda in her feels about that. She watched them for a while and everything.
I told her you need to stay off them folks business, she replied it's on my phone etc....
I said trivia time what island was hit by hurricane Maria that's not a name Puerto Rico.

Later I told her it's not just your fault it's on the schools, news along with myself.
It's not Katrina,no where near that bad and it's a slap in the face to even compare the two.PR is still it's own country,a lot of them could of jumped ship before and they didn't but again some of them say their Spanish but you don't see Spain coming to their aide.
Look at Haiti...we helped ourselves to their help and it made some of the rich even richer and the sad part is they don't have a voice in the states loud enough to point that out and their still fucked up,wasn't no cruise ships lined up to bring them to our shores,they have to fill out a form to be able to come here(unite states) first.
