Yea.. except i specifically referenced this in conteext as him being HEAD COACH you illiterate bitch. See for yourself:
And again, you being able to point out Norv and a few other nameless coordinators and position coaches as a counter argument still changes nothing. At this point you're only restating the same stupid shit over and over again.
Right.. and nobody knew about Kurt either until Mike had him, and Cuntler was playing .250 ball until Mike had him. All coincidences im certain. Ho stfu.
Except i wasnt the one to mention dynastys. I only responded to the fool saying Martz ruined one... when the reality is he created what would have been one but for Spygate and and a aging Faulk and injury prone KW.
Right. Now show me the one that was responsible for the greatest offense ever seen at the time and then tell me what any of them have to do with a discussion about your continued attempts to discredit Martz. Again, you're just talking out your ass and making no sense. This is just stream of consciousness bullshit from a low thinking moron. The rest of your post is more of the same. Stay focused bitch and pose a pertinent point or just go away.
JOHN FOX CURRENT COACH, PETE CARROLL CURRENT COACH, BRUCE ARIAN CURRENT COACH...
You really need to work on your debate skills. You keep moving the goal post and I keep scoring on you.
A number of 60 year old men were hired as coaches over the years including recently. Your argument about Martz's age being factor was shot down long time ago. You said no one Martz age was hired as a coach. I mention Norv Turner. You complained that I could only find one. I found several more (either hired around the time martz was in the league as OC or currently). You said Head Coaching careers are short. Yes, on a per team basis. Yet many HC have had the opportunity to coach multiple teams
AND WERE AROUND 60 WHEN HIRED TO THOSE NEW TEAMS. Martz? One and done.
You say I don't acknowledge Martz's success as an offensive genius. Yet, you seem to ignore the Vermeil factor. Dick Vermeil (
if my math is right, was around 63 WHEN HE WAS HIRED ) and Martz 2.0, Al Saunders, took over the coaching staff of KC after a short retirement from the rams. With ex-ram QB Trent Green, they built up a powerhouse offense (rated number one for like 3 or 4 years I believe), and turned kC into a contender. This is while the Martz lead Rams are starting to regress. If you are not keeping score. Dick Vermeil helps to build two different teams into offensive powerhouses. Mike Martz capitalizes on a team that was already built.
You said Martz had this great 20+ career in coaching, which included a lot of things other than being OC or HC for the NFL. When I point out that other coaches have had longer careers as HC,AC, DC,OC etc. and a lot of them are well over the age of 60, you are saying that is immaterial. So which is it?
You keep ignoring the fact that Steven Jackson (drafted 1st round 2004) was seen as Faulk's replacement. Steven Jackson was kept off the field way too long. He came in way too late to be effective. Look what happened after Martz was fired and Jackson became the starter.
After the dismissal of head coach Mike Martz, 2006 became Jackson's breakout season. With Scott Linehan as the new head coach, the Rams had a more balanced offensive attack. Jackson ran 346 times for 1,528 yards and 13 touchdowns and led all running backs when he caught 90 passes for 806 yards, and adding 3 touchdowns. He also led the NFL in total yards from scrimmage with 2,334. For his efforts, Jackson was named to his first Pro Bowl and received one vote for the 2006 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.[7] He was also named the Rams MVP of 2006.
Kurt Warner had one bad season with the rams and that was 2002. 2003, he was benched after the first game. That is the year they went 12-4 with Bulger. So Warner falling off a cliff was not an issue. Bulger turned out to be a good qb for the team, even though you pretend otherwise.
You keep pretending Martz made Cutler the best he can be, but again not true. His stats are better with Case with all things being equal.
Cutler with Martz 2010 15 games
Total Yards Thrown-3274
TD-23
INT-16
Sacks-52 (number 1 in most sacked qb for the year)
Cutler with Case 2014 15 games
Total Yards Thrown-3812
TD-28
INT-18
Sacks-38 (number 8 on most sacked qb the year)
You keep crying about the Super Bowl. Yet great coaches learn to adjust. NFL was built on running the ball. Teams have won Super Bowls by running the ball, yet in your mind that some video game shit. Calling me names isn't going to change how dumb that comment was.
