But that is what they done. I am not happy to call it that but events such as the Monroe Doctrine, Manifest Destiny, and the Berlin Conference are not misnomers. Ill gotten gains it is and they got it by colonialism and imperialism. The fact that we are having this discussion in "English" and not a native tongue is evident of that.
