Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

^^ Good stuff.

My speculation is...

Dany dumped Daario Neharis in Mereen because she (and Tyrion) knew that she would need to make alliances in Westeros... so she couldn't bring a sidepiece... which would be a turn-off for any available suitors.

So the best solution to Dany's constant requests for Jon Snow to 'bend the knee'... is if they both get married.

This way... they BOTH get what they truly want.
  • Dany gets control of the North... plus all the 'respect & recognition' of the Northerners, as the rightful Queen...
  • And Jon Snow does not 'look weak' in the eyes of his people who respect him & call him 'King of the North'.
But why would Dany marry Jon? :dunno:

Because Dany has survived a fiery death..... Twice.
So whenever she finds out that Jon Snow has ALSO survived death... she will probably be ALL OVER HIM.

And Dany might even propose to HIM - lol.

(i.e. Maybe she thinks a 'Great Warrior' who has 'survived death' just like she did... is HER 'ultimate soulmate'. :dunno:)

Sshhhheeeeeiiittt....... if so, just imagine Dany in the throne room at Dragonstone... surrounded by Dothraki Warriors & Unsullied Soldiers... stalking her way around a raging fire pit... balling up her fists.... pledging to MARRY Jon Snow... the very same way that Khal Drogo pledged to conquer the Iron Throne. :D

When i brought it up last season some said their union would never happen now im seeing speculation about them marrying on a lot
of messageboards and blogs...their related it cant happen !!! Sheeeeeeeeiiiiiit man remember this is GAME OF THRONES !!!!!!

Quick question. I'm trying to get caught up.
Did Unsullied, Dorthraki and the dragon take out most of Cersi's army? Those two battles should have really weakened the Lannisters correct?

Also interested in seeing how they play this out. I'm assuming that there are still a good amount of Lannister forces in Kings Landing

Nah, Those troops that got burned up came from Castley Rock not from King's Landing...thats why it was easier that expected when the Unsullied took Castley Rock most of the forces went to High Garden for the food and gold.

One thing to keep in mind is that a large portion of the soldier's prolly went ahead and escorted the gold thru the gates of kings landing.

Those who Dany torched were the food escorts.

Realistically a lot of the Lannister army are common folk and kids ....

Once the tales of Drogon and the savages get around and Hot Pie is telling horror stories; I'd expect hundreds of deserters

Couple more thoughts from the episode.

Again.... someone needs to tell them the Twins are wide open.

Jaimee told Bron the more gold you have the more you are weighed down.

Then falls in the lake and his Lannister Armor and fake hand weigh him down.

I think the White Walkers are moving South bc there was a pact or bargain or something that was violated.

Sort of like what happened with The Firstmen and the Children of the Forrest.

Why else would the White Walkers come down to the south?

The symbols the white walkers used..... Phi and the spiral are symbols for balance.

Balance like the first men and the children of the forest.

Jon was getting all sorts of flashback lessons. Daenerys talking about Bend the knee and save your people, Missandi (sp) talking about we don't follow her bc of her family, she is the queen we chose.

I believe thats exactly why the children of the forest created the white walkers they used them as a common threat for them and the first men to unite against.

When everyone plays their role there is balance.

So, the soldiers who went for the food and gold became camp fire marshmallows. Unsullied dusted off the remaining ones at Castely Rock. The only remaining soldiers from Castely Rock are the ones who escorted the gold. That's not a lot of soldiers remaining from the rock.

There's a difference between the Lannister Army and the soldiers in King's Landing, The Gold Cloaks, and other sell swords around. I think when wars are waged, the leader gets their soldiers from the houses that are pledged to them. Basically, Cersai has her navy, soldiers at King's Landing, and soldiers from the minor houses. Dikon and his father were probably the best army at Cersai's disposal after the Lannister army and both were dealt a massive blow. Also remember that every major house has Bannermen (minor houses) sworn to them. So if I am correct, in Westeros, the person on the iron throne is like the emperor and the major houses of the 7 kingdoms are like kings/queens of their territories. The bannermen of those territories are like regional dukes.

@chops I'm wondering about the white walkers. They've been amassing their army slowly for a while. The Night King was using that one guys male kids for his battle lords but they've been recycling everyone they kill (like hardhome).

Got Spoilerized by You tube

Was watching some youtube episode 5 preview videos last night and without even paying attention the feed switched over to some season 7 script leak videos before I even realize what happened they got Episode 7 script excerpt magnified on the TV.

I was like DAMN at what I saw, but still mad I saw it.

Spoilers everywhere.

Just had to leave the Power thread because of potential spoilers. I'm hoping I don't have to leave this one too but I might have to. I really enjoy the conversation and analysis but I cant do the spoilers. And I stopped watching YouTube analysis videos a long time ago because of the same spoiler stuff.

In truth shouldn't have been that much of a battle :smh:

Once jamie's army set their lines facing the dothraki, dany and drogon should've came up from behind using the cliffs as cover to hide their approach.:itsawrap:

that's what a military mind would do. she isn't that. she's just all terror and fire which is cool
she ain't trained to fight she just full of herself rightfully so and has dragons.
when jamie rushed her she looked like a deer in headlights didn't even try to move to get out of the way or nothing just frozen like well this is it
same as when the golden lords tried to clap her and the crew up at the arena. she just stood there like well shit this is it.
eventually she's going to need what jon has to lead everyone.
They'll like her somewhat because her personality once you're on her side is pretty damn good honestly
and also they know that if it's time to get dirty and you need someone leading your people Jon Snow will get down with the best of them.

Jon just needs a great military advisor he trusts so he don't go rushing into shit like he did at the battle of the bastards.

Speculating based on this info.

Jon Snow is a Targaryen. His birthright puts him next in line for the throne. His name Snow is Ironic. He is of fire too.

That's why, upon his arrival to meet Daenerys, one of those Dragons came down and buzz him. It was checking Jon out. It knows that Jon is also a Targaryen. Queen Dae is also attracted to Jon.

My projection is that Jay and Dae will make a baby that will be raised by a Stark, Sanza Stark. Maybe even Tirion and Sanza together as a couple. Jay and Dae have both died already so they are living on borrowed time just to usher in the new order.

Or, this is all misguided speculation.

The prophecy is for 3 riders. We (the audience) already know Snow is a Targaryen. They told us last season when they told his birth story. I think Tyrion is a Targaryen too.

Battle of the Bastards just was a hot head winning out. They had a decent plan but when he saw Rickon get killed he snapped.

By every description of Tyrion in the books, he's Targaryen.

The show kinda strays away from that part because he's supposed to be a ugly looking fucker with white hair and mismatch colored eyes, both trademarks of Targaryen lineage.

bolton's had a better plan
honestly they need jamie lol
perfect trifecta. king jon not caring about power just making sure the ppl are safe
queen dany trying to make sure the ppl are happy and fed
tyrion idk advising
jamie military general no more king's hand bs

Daenerys talking about Bend the knee and save your people,
It's crazy how it's pretty much the same speech Jon gave Mance Rayder when Stannis wanted him to bend the knee.

Missandi (sp) talking about we don't follow her bc of her family, she is the queen we chose.
Another dope call back. Jon is a bastard and technically has no claim (lesser claim) to KofN, but his people CHOSE him anyway.

Man. this episode was fucking amazing
