Wizards offered John Wall a four-year contract extension for roughly $170 million
Wall will take his time to decide

The Wizards offered John Wall the maximum contract extension.
But the point guard will take his time to decide whether to sign or not a contract that would lock him in Washington till June 2023.

Per ESPN, The Washington Wizards have offered John Wall a four-year contract extension for roughly $170 million, but the All-Star point guard will take some time to consider the offer, sources said.
Wall will sit down and discuss the offer with his agent and family over the next week as he considers whether to accept. Wall has two years and $37 million left on his current deal. This extension would lock him in with the Wizards until 2022-23.

Wonder what will happen this time

Last year, 76ers nearly landed a notable vet with a big 1-year deal. The vet had one request: Sign 1 of my vet friends too. 76ers declined.

Nuggets actively trying to get Kevin Love from Cavs

Kevin-Love-2nd-Opinion-768x446.png

With the start of the free agency period less than an hour away, the rumor mill around the league has ramped up.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have once again become the center of the chatter with Eric Goodman of Mile High Sports Radioreporting that the Denver Nuggets are making a big push to acquire All-Star forward Kevin Love:

In the last few weeks since the completion of the 2017 NBA Finals, Love has been prominently mentioned in trade talks involving the Indiana Pacers for Paul George. However, the lack of interest from the Pacers and other teams around the league has quieted the discussions over the last several days. Then, earlier tonight, George was dealed to theOklahoma City Thunder.

It will be interesting to see what kind of trade package the Nuggets offer the Cavaliers in exchange for Love. With the possibility of LeBron James entering free agency next season, it’s hard to believe at this point that the front office would take a deal unless it provides them a high-end player that keeps them atop the Eastern Conference. Gary Harris is a promising player, but any deal would have to require more than him to be worked out.

Love is coming off his most productive season with the Cavaliers, averaging 19.0 points and 11.1 rebounds per game, helping him earn his fourth All-Star selection. He was one of five players in the league to average at least 19.0 points and 10.0 rebounds this past season alongsideAnthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Karl-Anthony Towns, and DeMarcus Cousins.

The 28-year-old is set to make $72.3 million over the next three seasons, putting him under contract for the prime of his career. If he is able to remain relatively healthy, there should be several more highly productive campaigns ahead of him that may include a few more All-Star selections.

The Cavs could do something nasty if that trade with lil Kev happens...

Get rid of Love
Sign Zbo
Use draft picks and player to get Melo(before htown does)

Let's see how this would look

I'm moving Lebron to point

Lebron, Kay
Kyrie, korver, Jr
Melo, Harris
Zbo, Jefferson
TT, Walter

10 players

This would be a older team unless they use them bench slots to get filled with youth...

Clippers to re-sign Blake Griffin to a five-year, $173 million contract

The forward will remain with the Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers, who lost Chris Paul, traded to the Rockets, will keep Blake Griffin.
The forward will be signed to a maximum contract extension: $173 million in five years.

Report: Cedi Osman to visit Cavs, will take NBA out
Cedi-Osman-Turkey-768x432.jpg

Onedio

Earlier this afternoon, international NBA reporter David Pick announced that Cedi Osman is expected to meet with the Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers. Osman, a 22-year-old Turkish swingman, has notified his current team, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, that he may elect to take his NBA out.

After being selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 31st overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Osman was traded to the Cavaliers for Tyus Jones. In the two years since then, Osman has been playing professionally in Turkey. Osman started 35 games for Anadolu Efes last season, where he averaged 7.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.7 assists on 40.9 percent shooting.

Standing at 6-foot-8, Osman is a talented young prospect. You may not know his name, but Cedi is indeed a gifted basketball player. His length makes him a pesky defender, and his quick release is simply tough to defend. Words like slasher, athletic, and euro-step start coming to mind when assessing Osman’s style of play.

Here is a look at some of Osman’s highlight plays with Anadolu Efes:

Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio and AmicoHoops.net reported that the San Antonio Spurs, a team known to recruit European players, have their eye on Osman. Why, you ask? One reason could be because the Cavs have expressed interest in Spurs shooting guard Danny Green.

If the Cavs indeed elect to bring Osman onboard, he would likely bolster their wing rotation. This could be his big break in the NBA, no matter where he lands.

Sources: Stephen Curry agrees to max deal with Warriors
Stephen Curry has reached agreement on a five-year, $201 maximum contract with theGolden State Warriors, league sources told The Vertical.

Curry’s agent, Jeff Austin, and Warriors general manager Bob Myers started discussions at midnight ET on Saturday to finalize Curry’s full max deal, which makes him the highest-paid player in NBA history. Curry became eligible for the Designated Player Veteran Contract last year because he earned All-NBA honors and league MVP for a second consecutive season.

Curry has led the Warriors to two championships in the past three seasons. He averaged 25.3 points, 6.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 79 games last season, and co-starred with Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson,Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala for one of the best championship runs in league history.

For Golden State, re-signing Curry is the first step toward retaining its core for another potential title run next season. The Warriors will now work on re-signing Iguodala andShaun Livingston.

Curry has averaged 22.8 points, 6.8 assists and 4.4 rebounds in eight seasons with the Warriors.

DAmn man I never thought I'd see the time a dude got a 200 million deal on a 5 year deal. I remember when AROD signed that long ass deal for that 250 mill......shit.
Curry gonna be making 100 mill a year for the next like 5 or 6 years:eek2:

Cavs, Lakers among those eyeing Korver

Cavaliers swingman Kyle Korver is expected to draw plenty of interest in free agency.

JUNE 30, 2017

Sam Amico

The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to make an offer to re-sign shooting guard Kyle Korver when NBA free agency begins at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, according to a report from cleveland.com.

League sources told Amico Hoops the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers also have an interest in Korver. Cleveland.com added the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans to that list.

Korver, 36, is still considered a reliable perimeter spot-up shooter who keeps himself in excellent condition.

He arrived in a mid-season trade with the Atlanta Hawks and spent 32 games with the Cavs last season, averaging 10.1 points on 49-percent shooting off the bench.

Korver’s scoring average dipped to 5.8 points per game in the playoffs.

  • In other news, league sources told Amico Hoops that the Spurs and several others have an interest in Cavs’ draft-and-stash swingman Cedi Osman. But while the Cavs have talked about Osman with several teams, they have held no such discussions yet with the Spurs, sources said.

I don't like Zbo. He did extend his range out to the 3pt line but he's going to be a liability on defense. Cavs should go after Ezili if he's healthy. One of there issues is guarding the paint against GS.

Surprised Jerry West didn't let go. West will probably try to move him for young pieces in the future.

kinda getting sick of Angie but fuck it, its not like Paul was going to stay anyway. We have picks till 2099 :yawn::yawn::yawn::yawn::yawn::rolleyes2:
