Paul George is gone

Any team who trades for him will demand a trade and sign deal. One reason to bring up the Lakers is for leverage to make sure the deal gets done.
No potential free agent is so dumb to say he will only sign to o e team, that is unless he uses that team to push a trade to a team of his choice.
Bottom line, by bringing up the Lakers he has forced the Pacers to either explore trade and sign deal or risk losing him for nothing.

Yeah Larry was like peace out bitches....

Yeah the game passed Larry on by

Most of the other players who bypassed the Lakers in previous off-seasons said that one of the reasons they didnt want to sign was because they didnt have any star players. PG will now be on board to help attract some future players, Anthony Davis comes to mind

For the life of me I don't understand why they think a kid from Los Angeles would want to go play for Cleveland long term
Werd! Especially when LeChoke isnt signed long term and probably already looking for the next team to.... nevermind.

Fools think theyve built something in Cleveland.... once LeChoke leaves its back to bum status they go

:crymeariver: Sike. Goodbye Paul George. Too bad he had to sabotage this situation. I hope the Pacers put him on ice for a whole year. No games.:itsawrap:

Tank and keep developing the youth on the roster. It's Lance time. And time to start from scratch.

The ESPN ticker says Indiana has reached out to Cleveland... Do they think bum ass Kevin Love is the best they can get for Paul George?

I'm sick of this NBA caste system shit where second tier teams act as if they are obligated to help the strongest teams get stronger, as seen with the trade Cleveland pulled off for Kyle Korver. Except this is obviously ten times more egregious.

David Griffin must be the Vladimir Putin of the NBA, with his desk filled with nothing but tapes of other teams GMs getting pissed on.

Lakers don't have to give up shit to get George and can sign him next year if he happens to be traded now

Lakers should go after CP3 with a Trade of Russell and Randle.. get Jackson for the #2 pick and wait on George next year or get Westbrook

Think of it this way...
What is the point of saying what he said?? If he really wanted to sign with the Lakers he would do like every other player and sign with them as soon as he could.. If anything he wont say a thing allowing other teams to possibly drive up the price for his services.. At least this is what reputable agent would instruct him to do..
But by saying he isn't going to sign and claims he prefers to sign with the Lakers, what he is really saying is that he wants out of Indiana asap and the only teams that should apply are the teams he decides to play for... Realistically there are around three teams who stand a chance of trading and signing for P.G. and if all fail then chances are he will sign with the Lakers...
All he is really doing is using the Lakers for leverage for a trade and sign, right away, and if not he is threatening to walk out to the Lakers for nothing in return..
Now the reason why he may want to play for the Cavs would be the same reason why Durant signed with the Warriors, for one he is not too keen on the commitment of the Pacers to put forth a winner, and the Lakers have a season to prove they are about that business, before he signs with them..

If thats what he wanted he would have done that with out lowering his negotiating power now..

Just read an ESPN report that said the Pacers reach out to the Cav's about Paul George.
The Pacers are in a real bind, their hands are forced to try to trade P.G. and the longer it takes the lower his value is going to be..
And trust me they already know the real list of teams that he would agree to a trade and sign deal, making matter even more constricting towards them..

George to the Cavs.

Yikes.

Bron, Kyrie, and George. So, Kyrie would become the third option? Damn. If this shit go down, next years Finals could get damn interesting.

Any team that trades for him knows it's as a rental player with the hope that you convince him to stay. That's why Indiana isn't going to get any key assets in return for him.....even from my Lakers.

No team is going to trade for him unless its a sign and trade... Trust me P.G. gave the Pacers the list of teams on his trade and sign list.... The Pacers know they are basically fucked and are trying to try to get as much for him from the focusing on the teams that they know P.G. will agree to a sign and trade...

should have traded him to Boston for one of those #1's

They should trade him for Kevin Love imo
I think Cleveland will get him and Bron and Kyrie will convince him to resign...He said he prefers the Lakers..He leaves himself open to other options..Indiana and Cleveland are talking

If I were the Cavs I would try to trade Shumpert for a P.F. or Center, because even though they do have Traveres, a young player who has so much Whiteside to his game, I still am not sold in his conditioning and his ability to play injury free for an entire season.. So they are going to need another big man to help out..

If Cavs get him it's on a rental... PG is going to LA period

Oh you mean a GM is getting in line to try and help the cavs AGAIN?
lol
you don't say....

Wonder if he will get the same criticism that Melo got.
Not only will he not get the same criticism Melo got the cavs won't get the same criticism Warriors got for signing a free agent when the cavs are trying to trade for someone yet again.
it's how the entire team was assembled and im good with that as long as you don't have a problem with anyone else doing it too

but this is also what im talking about 99% of the nba bitching about super teams cause a free agent signed somewhere and are now going to help the team that just beat the east's ass out with a superstar lol
