had a feeling that it was gonna drop and I sold it. Wish my willpower was strong because I bought it back about an hour later lol. Then low and behold the crash today. Should've followed my mind but it is what it is. And if they don't win the competition that'll be another drop i believe lol. We'll see though, I'm holding for now.. At least until it's back up.

shit could end up being a good move if you right...and if you're "wrong" well who hasn't been in this thread :cool: but ya the 9th could make it or break it...I missed the real wave by not jumping on it when it was @ $0.0002 in march...$5k would've gotten me 25M coins and that be worth $1.25M right now...amazing how many dirt cheap coins mentioned in here early on have had these remarkable increases

You should. I know I planned on doing the same. I just took out another $1400 out of my profits to build a rig separate from what I'm currently running, bought four RX 470s and gonna set them up with the mobo I just replaced in my main setup. Altogether I should be able to do around $1,100-1,400 a month dual mining with both my setups combined.

Thanks for responding bro. Are you pool or solo mining? I was just doing research and most people say not to solo mine unless you have a significant hash rate. Was looking at something that would do about 175 mh's but that seemed low. Whats your set up and are you actually finding blocks on your own? If so, how frequently are you finding them. Maybe we should PM this convo but any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

And I feel like it's going to happen year after year as cryptocurrencies become more mainstream and more new companies/ICOs launch. I plan on making a killing on the trading market but I also think I'm gonna build a rig beasty enough to make me $3-4k a month. Which is all I need to quit my 9-5, pursue my dream and not worry about my bills not being paid. Especially with ETH being one of those main coins, mining up a lot of them now is just like warming up eggs before they hatch because I believe the price will be far more than it is now in a year or two.

I use Eth mine pools, the pay out is fine as I've shown before. The more GPUs you have the more you'll mine. Only concern is electricity, but I believe based on what I read it shouldn't slaughter your profits in any way, shape, or form. I'm going to see what my con ed bill looks like at the end of the month. Anything extra over what I normally pay I'll just pay out of the profit then stack the rest.
 
Btw. I have this script that emails me anytime something new gets added to coinmarketcap...which means the coin just been added to an exchange and thus you can get in on day 1... today 5 new coins have been added so far. I'm not going to post these daily but i'm watching for good stuff

I have some NXT. I read somewhere ( believe it was twitter) about a merger with ardor/ARDR. If that happens does my NXT .07 double to the .14 ARDR price?
 
Quick question:

Do you keep a certain amount of bitcoins in your accounts to buy other currencies when the time is right or do you sell whatever currency you have and buy other ones?

Everyone will use a different strategy, you will need BTC to buy altcoins that is for sure, so if you have enough BTC in your account then you might use it to buy altcoins, or if you don't have enough BTC , sell some altcoins to get enough BTC to buy some altcoins, if that make sense lol

the former is the better strategy if you have the $$$ to have spare bitcoins in your account for that purpose but myself and others have had to dip into extremely profitable coins in our portfolio (that have slowed up) to invest in new opportunities and in many instances it works out
