This guy (David Edelstein) is a straight jackass…. Who doesn’t know ‘jack shit’ about comic book characters… and should NEVER receive a ‘paycheck’ to review ANY superhero movies.
At all.
This ‘comment’ was posted below his recent Wonder Woman review, which VERY ACCURATELY sums up his worthless movie opinions.
“Here's a typical Edelstein superhero-movie review. He doesn't generally like the genre, so he doesn't understand what people who do find appealing about it.”

See for yourself…
Check out his review of The Dark Knight (with Heath Ledger)
http://nymag.com/movies/reviews/48514/
QUOTE: “Nolan appears to have no clue how to stage or shoot action.”
C’mon son. That’s absurd.
If I was his Editor-in-Chief... I would SMACK FIRE right outta his jawbone for handing this bullshit article in, right before the 'deadline'.Then hand him a 'pink slip'
.... and swiftly kick him in his 'back pockets' on his way out the door.

And his review of the Avengers
http://nymag.com/movies/reviews/avengers-five-year-engagement-2012-5/
QUOTE: “Multiple protagonists means that by the time you’ve had your fill of snotty Iron Man you get the wooden Captain, and when you’re bored with the Captain, you get the Norse hottie.”
-----------------------------
And his review of Civil War
http://www.vulture.com/2016/04/movie-review-captain-america-civil-war.html
QUOTE: “The best way to think of Captain America: Civil War is as a toy box in which the sheer quantity of toys partly makes up for the lack of anything new. But the big takeaway is worrisome. Marvel has created a universe teeming with superheroes who simply don’t have enough to do. They’re all suited up with nowhere to go.”
-----------------------------
And his review of Winter Soldier
http://www.vulture.com/2014/04/review-captain-america-the-winter-soldier.html
QUOTE: “In the martial-arts-heavy fight scenes, the frames are too tight for my taste — they’re rock-‘em-sock-‘em blurs.“
QUOTE: “The FX-swollen climax is too long and repetitious — it lacks elegance. How many times can the Captain throw his mighty shield before you think, Ho hum? The filmmakers introduce yet another action hero — Falcon (Anthony Mackie) — who adds nothing but fake-looking swoops and more clutter, and the fight between the Captain and the mysterious, deadly assassin the Winter Soldier goes on and on with diminishing returns.”
-----------------------------
Bottom line, Edelstein is one of those: “I think I’m EDGY... just because I shit on everything that becomes very popular”... types of Movie Critics, who tries real hard to be a 'contrarian'... just to get some attention.![]()
This guy's worse than Harry Knowles(owner of AICN)
