Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

I think my new strategy is going to be heavily researching ICOs and going with the ones with the largest market, great teams, great sources of pre-ICO financing (top VCs, etc) and just hold long-term.

Found this video on YouTube. He gives a template on what he looks for in new coins....this is only coins not actual technology as he mentions:

i had to sell my sc too smh....

can we get that chat poppin i am down to help out as well.... theres lots of info here. and its hard to find sometimes....

No. Dogecoin is a joke coin that turned into a use-case on reddit. With its float (100B coins) and lack of real team or mission, it will always remain a pump and dump coin.

I'm talking about others that are pushing real tech. You have teams doing distributed storage on the blockchain but their teams are average at best but now Silicon Valley-funded teams with deep storage tech/blockchain experience like Filecoin are coming.

ok...so this is what blackarsenic meant when he said filecoin was a serious threat to make siacoin obsolete

Re post for this new page.

No need to quote the entire post you can edit out which groups you want to be a part of or just say which ones. I'd like to keep people at 2 groups maximum NOT because of lack of ability but because of the efficiency aspect. if you're highly motivated you can do a great job on 5 things or a brilliant job on 2 things..

these are not set it stone either if you find a group isn't a fit you can go to a new one and we'll update rosters like settings.

we're going to roll with slack

me @Spectrum @alexw will be taking bits of this weekend to get this shit rolling into a presentable manner so it's easy to follow once the slack is up and running.
we might need your email so if you trust us just give it when the time comes via dm or make a phony one and send it too either way it's all good.

1 group is in charge of analyzing the tech and purpose behind it.
1 group in charge of the market cap
1 group in charge of the practical use and potential value and if it's poised for a break out
1 group in charge of vetting the actual team behind it and checking to see if it's legit or a scam coin
1 group for pump and dump
1 group for ICO's
1 group for crypto media and news pertinent to the coins we're watching/investing/evaluating.
1 group for reading the charts

then we all go in based on that information.

we need a chart group as well.

if anybody is down to fill in one of these positions in the group hit me the fuck up.
Had to search this back sorry for the 2x post. Can I get the slack particulars?

ALSO this is real money on the line but it is not a real job so I understand schedules but if we chip away we can still do big things and make this a full time thing once we grow. So I'm not going to be on people talking about man you ain't put in the hours
ALSO I'm not going to be on people saying "Well you only did this so you can't get this information or that information'
ALSO this is going to be an ecosystem. End game everyone here makes money. How much money is up to your discretion these will be recommendations based on all relevant factors. You can listen or ignore so I don't want any bad blood if we lose money cause we might on things unless we become the Pixar of this crypto currency which in time I believe we can.

We're doing all of this now so we can be prepared for the bubble popping. When it bursts everyone else will be ass out and we will be thriving.

That's our mission statement.

The slack is not up and running today it will be up and running early next week so we can hit the ground running. it'll be functioning.
@Spectrum is overqualified actually to build the slack that he is going to be gracious enough to have us work through you will not be left out. Like I said post it here exactly what group(s) you want to be in or private message me. I have received private messages and those people are counted in the places they said they wanted to be.

Everything will be transparent as well so you'll know who's in what group once it's started I don't want to make a running list and things change etc then it gets unorganized and I'm not recommending people for the groups either also there is no favoritism or anything where you'll be placed anywhere. we grown black men. you know what you can do and I automatically believe in you by default it's how I'm built

so we're going to take it from there.

I'm starting to look into the "Studies" feature in bittrex. I want to become an expert in how they work and work best and WHEN you should use them and on what combinations. When I start to get a handle on that I'll be happy to share and teach what I learn if I'm successful with it sand people were interested.

Confirmed. I'm making a list but not in this thread to distract from everything and then once everything is ready the list invites and relevant info will be posted in this thread.

wanted to ask this last time...would this group be researching circulating supply/price of upcoming coins?

Yes. Present projections and future projections based on factors

i.e. bgolcoin the supply is x based on the technology groups assessment the market for this technology is y right now it's at z potential . if it hits a, b, c goals that we learned from the research group as far as what bgol coins plans
minimum market cap if they just shit the bed is ___
maximum potential market cap is _____
reasonable market cap is _______

all come to conclusion for now based on similar coins until we get deep enough in the game to set our own projections independent of other alt coins.

interesting vid so far...I felt the same way about altcoins that actually have "coin" in the name lol...I wouldn't say it's a complete deterrent tho cuz you never know

Yea I think this should be our template on how we go about scouting these coins. Whitepaper, development team etc.

what bills/spec have set up is more meticulous/thorough imo

dude in the video was limiting himself to just the tech behind the coins and not the service...also focusing too much on the coin names could have him missing out on some potential gems imo

Yea I agree. Just something to add to the list. The guy seems to be doing all the work himself, that won't be the case for us

I'm curious...many of us have made alot digitally. That said, has ANYBODY actually withdrew money yet? If so, how was the process?

I've made several withdrawals, nothing bigger than a few hundred, tho.

The process has been good to me.

On both Polo and Bittrex, I've sold coins to convert them to BTC.

Sent the BTC to my BTC Wallet on Coinbase, that usually takes about 30 minutes, but Coinbase has been slow lately, so my last one took like 2 hours.

Then when the BTC gets to my Coinbase BTC wallet, I can instantly sell that BTC for USD, then it goes to my USD Wallet on Coinbase.

To withdraw from the USD Wallet, you gotta have your bank account connected, it can't go to just your card.

Then I send the money. They say it can take like 3-5 business days to show up in your bank account, but every time I've done it so far, the money has shown up after one business day. Like I could send the money at 11 pm Wednesday, and by 6pm Thursday, the money will be in there.

Also, after buying/selling/withdrawing X amount of money on Coinbase, they increase your buy/sell/withdrawal limits. I can send up to $15,000 a week to my bank account.

Good choice! Just downloaded the app it looks a lot more functional than telegram on first glance....

my Google skills are pretty good. Put me down for news updates about coins.

Also, I, have a question about research in general. What is the best way to understand the tech behind some of these coins? For example, how exactly do the coins we invest in help with data storage? And why are these coins being sold to the public? If someone can point me to some starting points for research and understanding , I would appreciate it.

thanks

Blockchain protocol and decentralized networks allowing for annonymous encrypted data transferal. Using bitcoins basic tech to fulfill other non-currency related services.

It's like someone invented the wheel and put it with a barrel to make moving dirt around easier. Then someone else comes along like, "hey, combine that with a buggy and put a horse in front of it to pull and you can transport people." Somebody else sees that same wheel and imagines installing teeth on the perimeter and attaching them between 2 rollers and makes a grain mill. The wheel still being the underlying tech of it all... sorry I'm at work tryong to piece together this response.
