It's just like soda. It's ALWAYS been called pop here on the north coast, I've never once heard anyone here call pop, "soda'..... never.

down south we say Soda......and some of these country ass niggaz even say "soda water"
but i know mufuckas up north and in the Chi and Milwaukee say "pop".

Bruh, I was in Cleveland visiting my father when I was 8. Damn near had a 30 minute argument with this girl when she asked me do you want some "pop?" I said no I want soda!! She said yeah pop. What!! Couldn't wait to get da fuck back to Jersey.
