Starz: American Gods Season 2(Discussion thread)

This is a show that's gonna require the viewers to watch EVERY episode to really know WTF is going on. From what I saw, the 1st episode was... confusing yet entertaining.
 
for those saying they dont get it...its still early but show is basically a war in America between the forgotten gods/myths of old vs new.

we were introduced to a 6 foot something leprechaun, a goddess of fertility/sexuality, a new god of technology and mchane's character that seems to be a heavy hitter though forgotten

And the black chick seemed more like a devil or sucubus... Not quite quite a goddess lol

I thought it was a good episode as well. I'm hoping that they don't drag it out, but keep upping the ante as far as character development. They have a lot of myths and legends to choose from, so now its all about merging them together and telling a good story.

The fertility goddess scene was off the chain. They played to her vanity and self doubt; but, she still got what she wanted most, which was to be desired. The leprechaun scene was on point too. It played into myth/cultural stereotypes well. Drunk MoFo's scrapping in a bar, and no one even tries to break that sh*t up... yep, it happens.

To me, gods can show mercy, but they don't have too. And, it's the unmerciful side that's going to provide entertainment for the audience. I'm looking forward to seeing Mr. Wednesday get down. I think most people know who Mr. Wednesday is already. There's going to be some grimy episodes ahead, especially if they do it right.

I can't lie though, I wanted to see Homie f*ck the sh*t out of old girl in the cemetery. I've been on BGOL too long. I wonder if Zawd will be making an appearance in an upcoming episode?

leprechauns are universally deceptive, so it plays into it that they would make sure the legend is that they are midgets when they are truly tall.

She is definitely a goddess, I suggest you banish previous learned images of greco roman gods and goddesses....
You are about to be introduced to a pantheon of non greco roman deities of different cultures
that migrated the Americas from Europe Asia and Africa (old gods) - and deities that aren't literal, everything the public worships outside of religion (new gods)

Watched back to back to make sure I didn't miss anything. Girl at the cemetery would have gotten some dick. Soon as she told Moon Shadow he can cum in her mouth, I've would of been like, BET lets do this.

From what I understand,you have a war between the new gods(the little shit) vs the old gods(Mr Wednesday).The old gods are your traditional gods that everyone forgot over time,while the new gods deals with technology.The more a person worships the gods the stronger they get.

I maybe wrong,because I never read the books.

Had to put it in bold before someone accuse me of telling a spoiler.
