Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

I know everyone is excited but where do you see XRP topping out at? I have the max $10.
I think it will top out at $1 max $5. There are too many coins if there is a burning coin mechanism like ETH or Proof of stake then I would say $10 plus, but to be honest there is not telling.

This is one hell of a roller coaster, yesterday taught me that I'm still unprepared/don't have a winning exit strategy. I'm kicking myself in the ass for not selling when it hit .07 yesterday, now it's back down to .02. I know this is a long hold game but man oh man it feels like I screwed up by not cashing out and then buying at .02 today. I guess the flip side of this is that XRP could be at .50 today and I'd be REALLY kicking myself in the ass for selling at .07. lol I'm curious of what most people have planned for their XRP, hold and wait or continuously try to time the wave.

Between xrp, dash and ethereum I wanted to and still may at least get my initial investment back. The plan was to wait at least a year or more to reduce my tax cost.the problem is that the reality is that there is no guarantee that these coins will reach their latest peaks again or will not drop below my initial buy.

If I knew I could remove at least my initial investment out without paying taxes, I'd probably would sell while I'm still up.

Luckily all three of those coins should have big events happening at the end of this year going into 2018, so I'm not really stressing out over things like yesterday with xrp. At there peaks i've missed out on around 47000 of profit, but without sounding greedy or like I have millions already; that isn't change my life money.

$1 would be life changing for most of us, couldn't even imagine what life would be like at $5 or $10. This tread would turn into "how to cash out and pay the least amount of taxes possible". lol

what do you guys use to convert these charts into dollar values? I'm using bittrex and these numbers don't make sense to me.

Umm. Honestly I have it maxed at $10 but I could see it hitting $20-30 over 3-5 years

I have seen a few projections in my research. 3 of the 5 I have seen put xrp at .80 cents by end of this year and maxing out around 3.50 but that's very acceptable for me...my projections put xrp at between 3 to 5 USD. I can live with that. for example...if you bought 100k coins then xrp went to 1 USD. then you would net 100,000 USD but if xrp went to 3 USD then you would have 300,000 USD. that works for me. then we would be talking about a lifestyle change.

Sorry bruh but 300k is not a lifestyle change. Definetly works tho

sorry if I misrepresented or didn't put it plainly. I should have stated that these numbers are arbitrary...for example only . they do not represent my true holding value of xrp at this time. I am waiting to see what happens with the news of other banks joining ripple bc once word gets out, you will see another avalanche like yesterday.

Damn I bought a little over $6,000 this morning at a little over $0.045 per ripple. Did I fuck up???

I bought $5,000 Bitcoin at $928 per Bitcoin last month with a bank transfer to Coinbase that took 8 days to clear. In that time Bitcoin went up to about $1140 per Bitcoin so when the bank transfer to Coinbase cleared the Bitcoin I bought was worth a little over $6,000 US.
I used that $6,000 to buy Ripple at a little over $0.045 per Ripple. Ripple currently sits at $0.032 per Ripple as I type this.
I checked my account and the total value of my Ripple went from $6,000 this morning to about $4,200 when I checked about 15 minutes ago.
Should I be pissed or just say fucked it and just hold it for whatever amount of years.
What would be your mentality?

thats the game plan...

so, trying to be the nice guy I am, I decided to transfer 10k XRP to my wife's Polo account. Only thing is, I sent to her BTC wallet. I have emailed Support. Has anyone made this mistake? Is my XRP gone?

I think I read somewhere that some else did something similar and support was able to help. Of course there are no guarantees and every case is different.

I hope it works out for you.

Contact one of the moderators in the troll box. They can fix that for you pretty quickly

Many of us bought it at .00000600 and .00000700 and freaked out when it got down to .00000500. Just yesterday it was up to 7 cents. Just relax and keep stackin. A dime a Ripple will be a super deal soon.

we are right on track..... still following the trend and the price is at the correct place for consistent growth.... lets go..... dont lose track of the bigger picture people.... shit is up over 500% since we started the thread.... and people who bought at higher levels no one can blame you.... Hold your positions we are just at the beginning.....

For me just under 2000 isn't a major loss given that you put in 6000. I'm also assuming that you can afford to lose at least 3000 long or short term.

If you really believe in Ripple, fuck it and ride it out. If you don't see xrp being successful, I'd leave a thousand in just in case and take the L. It could go back up enough to recoup your 2000 and you can sell or ride the new wave when/if the time comes.

With people seeming like they are gaining trust in Bitcoin again, the alt coins may lose more steam in the coming weeks especially without real project progress/news.

If I add my bank account info on Coinbase can I start purchasing Bitcoins or do I have to wait 3-4 days?

The wire transfer will still take a few days to go through, but technically you could buy them once your account is verified. The issue to me is the price could go up or down while you are waiting for the wire transfer to clear.

That's why I prefer using my credit card. You'll actually have the coins that same day.

I've never tried, but you could also see if you have a bitcoin ATM in your area

Yeah I know about the credit card but I wanted to buy $1K but the CC option only allows you to buy max $300

Interesting. there's a bitcoin ATM down the street from me.

I made that mistake on Friday. I put in an expired Ripple address. Just initiate a help ticket, they'll reverse the transaction.

a transfer from bank takes up to a week. From your debit card 30 minutes. Higher limits sending from bank account.

I like Coinmama because their limits are higher

Ripple is still vastly undervalued in my opinion. If ETH can shoot up to 50 bucks why not ripple in the future??
Because of market cap. I can see XRP getting to $1-$2 but $50? ETH is much more valuable.

Isn't the point of XRP to help banks settle transactions? If a same day wire transfer costs $30, there is no way you'll see XRP double that.

Yep.Too much supply. There are 37B ripples. Hitting 1 dollar would be a miracle. That would put it over twice the value of Bitcoin.
