Nintendo Classic Mini - NES Coming on November 11th (30 NES games)$60

ya just seen this...I'm try to get my hands on the grey switch...got the neon joint coming this week...I'll return the one I like least if I can secure that grey one...I'm pass on the NES classic...wouldn't be surprised if the switch gets hacked and allows for folks to run emu's on that shit

Not a fan of that switch....want to see more games before I buy

I wanted the classic edition but since I joined this retropie group on Facebook, I've lost so much interest. I'd rather build a mini-Genesis but I see what Nintendo is doing.

It doesn't have a regular dpad the switch for retro gaming

finally copped a grey one...not from bestbuy tho...off amazon prime now

I have a neon one that's supposed to be shipped out by fri. then I'll decide which one to keep

got both my shits...will more than likely stick w/ the grey joint...the neon joycons became an eyesore after a while...and they "fingerprint" easily...fun little system tho...I slept in the handheld capabilities...this shit would be the business if they could get more 3rd party support...it's nintendo tho...so we know how it's gonna play out

also I'd suggest buying a pro controller or an extra pair of joycons..."switching" the joycons between the switch and the comfort grip is easy enough but I couldn't help but feel like I was @ risk of dropping the switch...one time I dropped the right joycon on the switch's screen while taking the joycon off...so I'm leave the joycons on the switch for when I wanna use it as a handheld and use the pro controller for when I play it on the big screen

damn man...BOTW made the "hunt" for the system totally worth it...I can count only a handful of games were the moment I started playing it I knew I'd have to do so to the end...

bionic commando

super metroid
GTA2
assassin's creed

Could AtGames’ new Mini Megadrive actually rival the NES Mini?

mini-mega-drive-genesis-660x330.jpg

Several months back, the Internet went crazy over the news that Tectoy would begin manufacturing Genesis systems once again. More annoyingly, many websites falsely led people to believe SEGA was somehow behind this new system and was taking on the Nintendo’s NES Mini, thus signaling the beginning of Console War II.

The Tectoy Genesis looks great and all, with it using original hardware, including built-in games and can play actual Genesis games, but the fact that it didn’t include HDMI meant that it couldn’t truly rival the NES Mini.

But we’ve learned that AtGames will release a new Genesis, called the Mini Megadrive, that could actually be that contender, and it’s coming later this year. The new system is designed to look like a Model 1 Genesis and will come with 85 pre-installed games, 2.4G wireless controllers, a cartridge slot and an HDMI out that will output at 720p. It’s now available to pre-order for a $10 limited-time discount at 79.99 Euros and will begin shipping on Sept. 15.

Of course, we know that AtGames’ previous efforts in manufacturing Genesis clone systems have left a lot to be desired, so the jury is still out on whether this system is truly worth your investment.

I have 2 so I'm all set , but took like 2 months to get the second one online at regular price

This month is the last chance to get one at retail price
If the stores have then

my guess is the same games will be available on the switch/virtual console eventually
They already said the Nintendo store or whatever is called was coming to the switch
Is already on the wii and Wii U
To buy retro games

I really don't want another nes with 30 different games , I already put 700 games on it
I want a Super Nintendo with 30 games and then I'll put the entire snes library on it
And next year n64
N64 was my last Nintendo console

Makes me wonder if Nintendo really put that thing out to drum up support for the Switch. A person walks in the store looking for the NES Mini and instead buys a Switch?

On a side note, for those of us who are more tied to Sega than Nintendo, one can only hope that the success of the NES Mini spurs AtGames to attempt to put more effort into their Genesis clone consoles. If you look at the post I put up at reply #294, AtGames seems to be doing just that, by dropping the AV and going for HDMI and outputting at 720p and as you can see below the new model actually looks like a Genesis as opposed to the bullshit AtGames was putting out before. As for now this thing will be released in the fall of 2017 and cost 89.99 Euros and it'll have a cartridge slot.

Obviously the biggest thing will be the sound emulation. Youtube reviews will probably make or break this thing in the end tho.

Is that euro site the only place to get this ?

Probably not, they sell AtGames consoles everywhere from Amazon to Walmart to Walgreens.

You'll find it, unless AtGames does a good job and it becomes a hit and then it might become hard to find

i might reconsider if it looks like this

i remember seeing this in store as a kid , but the snes was out already at that point ,so i never got one

I didn't like the design, but I loved the "dog bone" controller back in the 90s

This one is a collectors item now.

prices on eBay went up to over $300 now after the news
Amazon $500 with prime

Reggie at Nintendo :smh: he probably just a puppet with no power but still :eek2:

If you are looking for that retro shit, I'm telling you, this thing is KING... over 3000 games from multiple platforms, HDMI, kodi enabled, all in the size of a small hard drive.... Level 256.... $100, don't sleep!

so people is willing to buy something that you could put together yourself for half the price. interesting... if someone wanted a retropie (they selling a raspberry pi 3 with retropie installed most likely) then the games arent hard to get at all. i just made one for a friend with over 15,000 games on it. i might start a thread about it

Yes... People want retro any way they can get it.... Make that thread!

Zelda sold more copies than they sold Switch units, people are going crazy over this thing and they cancel it, and the Mario Kart Switch bundle is only for Russia. WTF NINTENDO?! They need someone new in charge for real. They could run shit if they just tried.
