Marvel last bad movie was Thor 2 no way I'm trusting another Thor, they've been on a roll since that pos. Even made GOTG and Ant Man hit movies
lol it's comments like these why i'm glad i never bother to watch any thor movie.. hadn't seen neither or the first captain america..all 3 of them shits look wack and so far from every comment i heard i missed nothing but not seeing them

"It may never never happen again, after the sequel" :smh:

Please Sony get rid of her. Warner Bros is hiring.

Where is the down side for Sony?
This movie is guaranteed a billion out the gate.

The greed of these studios is unbelievable.

Fuck Sony!

Thor was all about Loki performance which was outstanding...the villain stole the movie but it was good to create such a STRONG villainous adversity for not only Thor but for the entire MCU...

but yeah the movies themselves were basic.

The First Cap was a throwback to the actual film series of that time Saturday matinee and it really helped reintroduce and reestablish one of the more iconic and historical significant Marvel heroes...it was fun and looking back you see the bright comic book Marvel tone that would continue later...and addressing the war and the whole man out of time theme that goes into Winter Solider.

Twitter doesn't disappoint...

Also, someone on Twitter said they saw the letters N, A, and L next to the A in this shot. Crazy or not?

we'll see what happens cause if sony did that they will fuck it up again. they don't know what they're doing. amy suppose to be out at sony but as a "going away gift" they let be a producer on several films she had in development under her time there.

marvel been fig out that the iron man series sucked so now iron man will be a sidekick for now on to other peoples movies..he was put on punishment after that last movie the tony starks film with the iron man cameo aka iron man 3

hey he plays a better sidekick than he does a major..not mad at that..they doin the same with the hulk

I dont think that Marvel thinks Iron Man series sucked; and I dont think the view Iron Man as a sidekick with these #s, 585plus mill, 623 plus mill, 1.2 plus billion for each of the three movies; I just think Marvel knows how to incorporate their characters into their movies well; they have a game plan and they stick to it...

I'm not even going to comments on the DC/Justice League stuff in a Spider-Man trailer 2 thread except to say this. Grow Up! That stuff is beyond pathetic and derails the current thread.

Now onto the trailer itself a few thoughts:

- I'll start by saying it has the look and feel I expect from a high-schoolish spiderman character. Definitely, comes across as authentic in that regard.

- I'm kinda surprised about how much was actually shown in the trailer itself. It seems that without trying hard you could put together a good portion of the movie.

- The new actor Tom Holland seems like he's going to bring a little more authenticity to the character. The previous actors were 1) Too Old and 2) Too Mature in my opinion.

- Michael Keaton is Michael Keaton

Overall, I'm sure it will be well received. Now whether it will actually be better than the previous movies we'll have to wait and see. I've actually enjoyed ALL the previous movies.

they heard the critics..the first 1 was cool so it was automatic the 2nd 1 was gonna make money to..the 3rd movie came out exactly after avengers movie so anything after that was gonna be an easy sell..not only that the iron man 3 trailer was great.. the last 2 movies got pushed cause other factors 1 being a sequel and the other having the hype of being the first film after their biggest release( first avengers movie).. critics slammed the shit out of 3 and they heard the whispers about number 2.. i think they kno they need to position/incorporate iron man in other peoples storyline for now in order to gain people truss cause prior to civil war and now spiderman nigs wasn't really gonna feel an iron man 4 movie..captain america done took iron man slot as the headliner of hot flicks... if they ask the fans which movie they wanna see first captain america 4 or iron man 4 i think it's obvious captain america would get more votes

The last Iron Man did 1.2 plus bill!!!thats billion, as its more than batman begins, the Dark Knight, and the Dark Knight Rises; im not going to even mention BvsS and Suicide Squad...They can make another Iron Man if they choose; Im not sure what you are trying to state with the Iron Man convo....

this is what people saw promoted

that came out after this

anything that was gonna come out after avengers was gonna be a guaranteed hit cause it was the first movie released after marvel had it's fans believe in their product.. iron man even said "nothing is the same after ny" so it made it seem like it was gonna be connected to the well praised avengers..that iron man preview had a more darker vibe and made it seem like this shit gonna be next level.. the product was shit in the end but guess what people brought it but they wasn't happy...juss because something makes money dosen't mean the product isn't shit , it juss could mean the bizzness did 1 hell of a job at promoting it..in this case they did.. i almost heard nobody like that movie..hell i don't think i heard anybody give that shit a compliment..the critics bash the shit out that flick and i def kno marvel was like wait we gotta hold off.. see other companies don't give a shit about what they selling but i actually think marvel somewhat does so if people kinda give it negative feedback they try to switch it around..last 2 iron man flicks made money but they recieved lots of negative feedback

Oh ok I got what you saying; and yes just because something makes money doesnt mean it isnt shit; i feel that...

Yeah, shoehorning Miles Morales everything into canon won't fly. Neither will Stark as mentor/father figure. Are you kidding me? Parker is a genius in his own right.

Meh @ this forever-a-tween approach.

disagree...

one of the pillars of the Spiderman story is him seeking some type of father figure

after the death of his parents and especially Uncle Ben

hell most of his villains have been or done that

from Green Goblin Vulture Octopus Lizard J Jonah Jameson on and on.

Iron Man fits in that perfectly ESPECIALLY after he events of Civil War

and Miles would b fine...

they were able to add in Antman and Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel Howard the Duck and Nova are coming.

c'mon man.

This garbage will work on some 7 year old who isn't aware of fifty years of Spider-Man history. It's never been him seeking a father figure, it's been him learning to be an adult after having made an immature choice that got a loved one killed. The editorial direction on the character has been all over the place Clones, Spider verse, One More Day, you name it. Even they didn't know what to do with the character, and that's before Disney ever got involved. Why? Because cash cow that will have parents buying stuff for kids.

No amount of PR will ever make tails wag dogs.

and Miles would b fine...

If it wasn't some lazy what-if universe that Marvel got lucky with in some aspects and ham-handedly tried to mash together with everything else, maybe. But it still is what it is: lazy.

Irrelevant. It either stands on it's own merits or it doesn't. Trying to force it into it's own thing to sell pajamas and bookbags...meh.

Everything We Know About Spider-Man's New High-Tech Suit in Homecoming

nbcnupb6uupkck7uzjrn.jpg

The new Spider-suit is very high tech in Spider-Man Homecoming. Image: Sony

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man’s suit is built by Tony Stark, which means it has tons of new features and upgrades—more like Iron Man’s get-up than the Spider-suit we’re all familiar with. On our set visit, we learned a lot more about the superhero’s new outfit.

Like, for example, Peter doesn’t even know about the suit’s high-tech features at the start, because Stark has implemented a “Training Wheels” protocol. It also has an onboard artificial intelligence, kind of like JARVIS, complete with a holographic interface. Plus, the spider logo on his chest becomes a surveillance drone, he can shoot multiple kinds of webs, the eyes on the mask have different functions, and more.

This is something fans have seen before. A few years back, Peter Parker developed a new, upgraded suit in the comics that had a few of these functions. You can read more about that here. But in Homecoming, it’s much more than that and, for fans who don’t read the comics, it will be a pretty big deal.

So, we decided to give it a bit more space. You can read about the full set visit here but, below, we found out how the suit fits in, why it happened, and a few more details.

We’re going to talk about some plot points here so, we’ll drop this in.

According to producer Eric Carroll, at some point in the movie, Peter realizes that Tony Stark can track him via the suit. That’s why, as you see in the trailer, he reveals to his friend that he’s Spider-Man. He’s hoping his friend can help find the tracker on the suit. However, in doing that, Peter discovers that Stark had secretly given the suit this Training Wheels protocol—and once that’s off, the suit reveals a huge number of new features.

(One note, it was unclear from our on-set interviews if Tony deactivates the protocol himself or if Peter figures that out alone. Let’s continue.)

From there the suit starts talking to Peter. (The voice hadn’t been cast back in August.) He asks it questions—simple things like directions, and it’s played for jokes because it’s stuff he should already be able to figure out. Carroll explained:

He’s a kid. So he’s like, ‘Um, how do I get to where that thing is?’ And it’s like, ‘Um, I don’t know. Pretty much drive? How are you going to get there?’ And he’s like, ‘Um, if I didn’t have a car, let’s just say, how would I get there?’ And it’s like, ‘Well, if you walk…’ And he’s like, ‘No, OK, alright… I guess just give me directions and I’ll figure out the HOW I’m getting there.’

But that’s just the start.

He figures out it has a heater, which might have come in handy in the other ones. He finds out that it lights up. At an inopportune time, he finds that out. At one point, the Spider logo on his chest goes [makes motion with hands] and floats off and starts giving him surveillance data, and he’s like, ‘What?’ In fact, that startles him when it happens because he didn’t even know that would happen....Long story short, we tried to look through the comics and pull out all of the sort of fun and wacky things that Steve [Ditko] did, which seemed even harder to explain when he built it in his own bedroom. So, like, there’s an airbag at one point. What else? There are different sorts of webs that he can unlock, too. He has one that can sort of tase people. One that shoots multiple webs at the same time out of one wrist. like, it shoots in two or three different directions.

The suit’s abilities continue to help Peter throughout the story, especially with “detective work,” as Carroll called it. For example, Peter taps into them to get to the Washington Monument, where his classmates are in danger. They’re on an elevator and his AI tells him, “The safety systems will definitely fail in the next 10 minutes.” So he knows he doesn’t have much time to save them.

We touched upon this in the full set visit story, but the reason behind this is that the filmmakers just felt this was the most modern way for Spider-Man to fit in this world. Carroll elaborates:

One of the differences I think, pretty much in bringing Spider-Man to the MCU, is the sort of tech spin. Whereas, in the other Spider-Men, you sort of dealt with, like, science – not that science and tech have to be completely divulged. But it was sort of like, scientific accidents gave almost everyone their powers in all five of the previous ones. So when we looked to reinvent the movie, we looked at what sort of tact we could take. And one was that all of the MCU movies try to have this quasi-plausibility, you know what I mean? As much as we can… we try to make it feel like the world we live in. And we felt like if a kid is running around in a skin-tight suit with all of these cool features, it’s probably going to be pretty high tech.

Star Tom Holland has a favorite upgrade, too, and it’s one that Carroll didn’t mention.

There’s a very funny sequence in the movie because of something he can do with his vision in the suit. He can sort of alter what he sees and how he sees things, and it’s really funny to see. It’s almost like the first time you play a video game and the controls are all funny, and it’s really funny seeing him look like a badass, but inside panic and not know what to do. So without giving anything away, that.

Yeah, this is not a Spider-Man filmgoers are going to be familiar with. And that was exactly the point.
