now I really feel old. being from GA I was there at greekfest in the 80's but I was still in high school. wen to college in the ATL and 1992 was the best year imho. But all the stories are true....and yes no female will ever admit being at freaknik. and yes this was before social media ruined every fucking thing bc all my dirt doesn't have o be advertised. I still have some old vhs video from back then. Atl was a big city with a southern feel. ALL my fam from new York and dc LOVED it and freaked out when they saw the nice houses, nice yards, parks, and black people loving each other like sisters and brothers. man you could walk up to any honey on the street and holler.
I met this gorgeous carribbean girl from canda in 92 named Karen. she was a cold ass stunner. I don't even remember how we met but she would come down with her girlfriends every year. somehow we would always hook up even though she never had my number and I never had hers. She was that beautiful, and she always stood out. but that's kind of what freaknik was for me. a chance to party with family, meet new people, and hookup with some bad honies. Cant front though freaknik also broke my drinking game up. Me and the fam went to towers on peachtree and while everybody was coming out the store with brown bags, fam was out the store with boxes, like a moving company. had so much alcohol, it literally almost killed us. drinking games with these deltas from Tennessee state, the AUC, and prarie view a&m. eat, drink, be merry and make your freakiest dreams come true. good times...man we all pushed some limits that weekend. I almost went to the hospital the next day for alcohol poisoning...lol. but I couldn't see straight or walk or drive but I could still grip some ass. didn't matter which chicks ass it was bc we still 14 deep in 2 adjoined hotel rooms. 6 guys and 8 girls on some real OPP shit. women like to have fun just as much as we do but they want discretion.
these days dudes don't know how to maintain discretion bc they got to video tape and advertise everything...like attention whores. man if I would have released some of the videos I had from those days, a lot of people would get fired from their jobs and some husbands would be looking at their wife differently. Thanks to my lady who burned most not all (
) my visual evidence, they don't have to worry.
but yeah freaknik was the epitome of the college spreak back.....and yes I done BCR in Daytona 3 years in a row. it was fun too but now dudes out to fight and ruin shit instead of getting at the honies and having fun.
