Kawhi Leonard picked for random drug test after destroying the Rockets

Kawhi Leonard went off on Monday night. The Spurs forward dominated on both sides of the court and sunk the game-winning three over the Rockets, which prompted an appropriate (albeit random) response from the NBA.

NBA selected Kawhi Leonard for random drug test. So he's in the back waiting until he can produce a specimen.

Who can blame the league, really? They just witnessed Kawhi go off and drop 39 points on the No.3 team in the west, drain the game-winning three and vault himself into the MVP discussion.

It’s times like this that a random drug test doesn’t feel quite so random. It’s like that time the Steelers kicker got hit with a “random” drug test after he nailed six field goals in a game.

The sad part about this is that Kawhi couldn’t enjoy the win and relish in his own performance. Poor dude had to wait in the back until he could pee, and that’s just sad. Peeing on command is difficult, especially when you have adrenaline running through your veins after leading your team to a huge win.

Let’s be clear here: The test was 100 percent random and it’s not like the league was out to check Kawhi, but it’s one heck of a coincidence.

They might let him go :smh:

Next season will be interesting to see what they decide. If they are hovering around 500 as i predict, there will be lots of trade deadline rumors involving the guy.

I think they will trade him also; and they will probably get more for him than the Kings did:smh:; Lakers give up randle and ingram or nance or something like that for him; it was a low risk move for the Pelicans because of the shitty kings so I dont fault them for doing it..

ONce again super pad, goes crazy for 58 pts but misses every important shot down the stretch that could have gotten OKC back in the game...

thunder defense was just horrible the whole game. russ was unstoppable but you just knew that bad three was coming sooner or later. well my squad done lost 4 in a row. sighs sighs sighs

He was unstoppable until the game was on the line then he couldn't buy a bucket to save his life..
You ever think that some teams don't care if he scores 100 just as long as they win the game, and when the game gets close, late, and they need to stop him they all seem to have no problems shutting him down...

The real reason why Bogut went and got himself injured:

He remembered McGee plays for the team he will see in the Finals.

Why I said earlier....Russ got to learn to trust his teammates. Teams got the Thunder figured out. The role players got to play their part. Plus they really really got to play some better defense. Every game they play is a good game and close. Need some stops man

If Russ was playing in a winning system for a coach who really wanted to win, there is no way he would have those numbers..
I don't care if he averages a quintuplet double I would not give him the MVP playing the way he plays, because if you give it to him they will send a message to all young players that they now reward selfish stat padders who are more interested in winning metals than actually winning..
Now if he was a young player on a bad team I would understand, but this is his 9th season and has played all his career with talent doing nothing with it..
He has great stats but one number no one is talking about is the fact that he has, by far, the lowest shooting % in anyone in the top 20 scoring.. Matter of fact his overall shooting .422 isn't that much better than LeBrons 3 point shooting .398..
So this is telling me that he don't shoot better, he just shoots more..
