Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

Good lawd...

The Monstars aka the golden state Warriors are just toying with these teams, KD almost went perfect.

I know I'm supposed to be bored by this

But I aint.
Its not boring when bball is played the right way; no matter how dominant; Rockets have won 10 in a row, by the way....

Warriors looking like geniuses letting Barbosa,Ezili and Boguts, and Speights walk... Replace with Clarke, looney, west, McGee and Zaza
I thought the only one they would really miss is Speights; but West and Zaza have been better than what I thought they would be; Ezili can never stay healthy and they knew it; I knew Ian would easily replace Barbosa, he was ready; and McGaw has played good for a rookie to help; What they are getting from McGee and Looney is icing on the top; Although with McGee on the floor he makes their offense impossible to defend....

Wait until after the all star break when they really hit their stride; looking forward to Christmas games...

Oh I've noticed...

The average fan isn't really seeing how well the rockets, cavs and spurs playing

Hell the Jazz, Toronto look good at times too.

The Mavs are a mess and it's not just injuries

Cuban needs to be called out.

Yup

I was wrong about Draymond...I can't believe the Monstars play defense too.

Only a major injury, massive shooting slump or major defensive breakdown can stop them.

I think they could probably overcome at least ONE of these in every game.

Yep, they gonna be very hard to beat in a series; very good and they have a solid bench; and coaching is getting better; their defense is good also; top 7 right now; they play well and they gonna get better; they be ready just in time for the playoffs....

Rockets playing well; still dont trust they defense though; Toronto is solid, but unless one of the top 3 get hurt from Cleveland, toronto isnt beating them; Spurs always play like this but will loose to the Clips or GS in playoffs; Cavs playing solidly but also have had very friendly schedule so far; but no one is a challenge to them in the east right now....

But I completely understand fans hating this...

This is almost obscene and abusive.

They can't be beat.

This isn't like the Boston or Maimi big 3, Rodman in Chicago.

This is the Monstars.

I could see this NOT being fun if they still playing this well past the all star break.

It's almost TOO perfect to watch.

Nah, fans wont start turning against them now; they would have to win like 2 or 3 championships in a row; then fans would watch just to see them loose; but the NBA is built on super teams; no matter how they were formed; and GS is no different.....

nah bro @RoadRage said no way KD would average more than 17:hmm:
Clown ass Dudes been lurking his dumbass in here like a motherfucker too... ADD having ass has finally been humbled... I figured we would read his half page analysis the day after a GS loss but that motherfucker has been silenced like an SOB! Can only imagine him sitting at his crib, rocking back and forth babbling to himself slobbering and shit!?

I don't like speights but he was the only one I was questioning the trade off with west if west is just facilitating to get others shots and bangs on the board then cool. To start he was trying to be instant offense and he can't do that anymore imo
Speights is coming into the game to get buckets
Good pickup by the clippers imo
Everyone else I wasn't tripping
Out of the 4 they missing only 2 playing
Bogut hurt ezili hurt
Would be stuck starting Speights at the 5.

They need to trade Cousins and shut down the franchise.

The Kings was a shitty franchise in Rochester, Cincinnati and KC and now in Sac-Town.

They need to relocate the team to Seattle and let the city get their history and name back like the Hornets.

The sad thing is he might be the best center in the league, but no other team wants him

agreed...

but what will be the BETTER story?

Golden State Winning the Championship with the Best Record while beating Lebron??

Golden State losing with the best record AGAIN?

KD having to play BOTH Harden and Westbrook on the road to the Championship?

Golden State getting knocked out the playoffs by the Russel Westbrook led Thunder?

Lebron winning ANOTHER championship pin Cleveland?

The Houston Rockets winning a Championship?

Hmmm, interesting; I think the NBA wants GS and Cavs in the finals for a multitude of reasons; Im not sure exactly what the better story would be though; thats a tough one...

To be honest, I dont think GS is missing any of them....

I think golden state losing...

Is a better story and sets up next season perfectly

Because then you got contract negotiations for Steph, trade talk not only on golden statell but league wide, KD hate, Luke Walton...

If the Clips actually pull off the upset and go to the finals?

If KD loses to either Harden of Furious Styles? And somehow THEY end up playing each other?

They will write a book about it.

Yes...more than u think...
The Cavs called a few times over the offseason but the kings want him to resign they ain't looking to move him.

Nah, the league wants rivalries; It makes ratings soar; they need to see GS vs Cavs in finals; Clips is wishful thinking lol; Steph aint going nowhere; because he was underpaid the 1st time around, so you know hes gonna get the full bang; Nah, I think the league wants it back and forth; one year Cavs, one year GS and so on; GS isnt losing unless they have injuries this year though; Teams just not going to match up well with them in a series....

I don't know...

It would be I'll to have a Lakers Celtics again, true.

But the earth would tremble of the Dubs didn't make it to the finals...

And one of Durant old team mates did it...

Imagine?

SAS would impregnate himself.

:lol:called who and what could they possibly offer:hmm:; come on dude....

What the fuck, u act like I just make up shit, like I be talking crazy out here. You know this what I do kinfolk.

DeMarcus Cousins trade rumors; Boogie and LeBron James superteam? Cavs inquired - A Sea Of Blue

Prediction: DeMarcus Cousins will not be with the Sacramento Kings beyond 2018.

That's the final year of the All-Star forward's contract, and it's time for a change of scenery. Hopefully, it will come to pass before then, and we've already seen Boogie mentioned in multiple trade rumors for over a year now.

The latest comes in the form of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders said, "inquired about" the possibility of getting Boogie, but talks have gone nowhere thus far.

The belief around the NBA is that the Cavs will look into trading Kevin Love, who is a bad fit for the Cavs, and try to get a player of similar value in return that fits better. Even with Cleveland just winning the NBA Finals, Love has failed to fit while playing alongsideKyrie Irving and LeBron James. It's going to prove difficult for Love to be traded for a package the Cleveland see fit, but some deal centered around Boogie for Love could work.

Last year, Cousins recorded career highs with 26.9 points and 1.6 steals to go with 11.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 blocks per game. He also added the three-point shot to his game more, shooting 210 three-pointers and hitting 33.3 percent of them.

Cousins is also ready to be part of a winning team, not to mention one that would be a strong title contender, something he'd be in Cleveland with LeBron and co. Just Monday, Cousins sounded frustrated with how the Kings have been drafting recently, which includes three first-round big men, a sign they may already be planning for life after Boogie.

Cousins is currently in Las Vegas training with Team USA for the Olympics. My guess is any trade for him wouldn't come until closer to the next regular season, possibly even to the 2017 trade deadline.

With 2017-18 being his final season under contract, the Kings will probably make a strong push to deal Boogie by that trade deadline in order to command a nice haul for him, something they reportedly tried earlier this year.

That is, if Boogie wants out of Sactown. Other possible trade partners could be theBoston Celtics, L.A. Lakers and Miami Heat(depending on what happens with Chris Bosh). Boston especially has the assets and potential to contend next season, while the Lakers would probably trade Julius Randleand some other assets to pry Boogie away.

Personally, I would love to see Boogie get to play with LeBron, Al Horford or another team with great veteran leadership that could help Boogie become a better pro on and off the court, similar to what Kyrie Irving says LeBron did for him.

It also should be noted that LeBron has yet to sign a new deal with Cleveland, though he's committed to doing such eventually. Perhaps he's waiting to see if the Cavs are able to swing a big trade and then do his deal to better accommodate it.

Whatever happens, it looks like Boogie is pretty happy with his life and playing with his dogs at the beach, so that's good.
