She is a host that still can be turned on and off...
idk about that...in ep 7 when they went to collect her friend and turned off everyone in the bar she was still active

Yeah I agree I think WW is slow and some of it is predictable and unnecessary drawn out. I know they got to fill a season but their constant use of scene repetition with slight details seems too me more of a function of bad writing & character development designed to eat up time on screen than actual story telling. Just think about it for a few minutes. Most of the actual events, dialogue or plot reveals or character development is less than 10 mins of time on screen. The rest fills like filler time designed to each up screen time.
Take Mauve character (Thandie Newton), suddenly she's aware and menacing the technicians to a point where she is in control and running them? The two techs assigned to her are horribly written characters. One is geeked about her and lets her do what she wants, the other is all talk but a bitch inside and afraid of her. Nothing seems to suggest that these two idiots would not have been properly vetted for their personality weakness and weeded out before giving such clearance to work in their department. She is a host that still can be turned on and off and as sophisticated as she may appear still is built by humans which suggest she can be controlled by some fail safe mechanism. My question is why not turn her off, report her as malfunctioned, completely wipe her memory, destroy her physically via the head, or some other maneuver, and move on? As sophisticated as the park is I’m sure someone /something is monitoring her whereabouts at all times and would notice she is spending a mad amount of time with the two technicians in question.
With such overlapping security and protocols in place, it seems like anything they do, change, or try would have been discovered earlier on due to the overlapping security protocols in place. Nothing about Mauve suggest she would be on some super clever shit, etc., etc. I believe her character is poorly written and designed to burn up screen time as oppose to really move her story/character fwd. In the end, she is just a hooker with a heart and burden soul who for reasons not really written well is questioning her reality. Naw I'm good.

When she told dude to fix him I was like "what the fuck is he going to do? You just slit his throat."THAT ASIAN MUTHAFUKKA. What a pussy.
I guess those two are hosts also?
The way he fixed dude's neck. that's not how you fix a human being.

If the show is in multiple timelines, I'm starting to think the brother-in-law of the dude with Deloris is the MIB.
I really like this show and I am interested to see where it goes. My biggest issue is the pacing. I'm 7 episodes in and during each episode I've fallen asleep and had to finish it the next day.
I'm glad that i'm not the only one that did a double take on that one...
I do know that in this universe they have solved most of the worlds issues, but that type of technology might now mean that they are farther in the future then any of us assumed.
but to quote you... I'm now leaning on these two being hosts as well. Which could explain alot? We have no idea how many other people working at that place are hosts.

we'll seeHoly shit.. It's the same fucking knife. MIB is William.

what made me think it was him was in ep 7 when he gave dolores that speech before he made sweet gentle love to her lol...but the points made in that article sammyjax posted...esp. point #1 has me confused af
Yeah and MIB has said somethings about his background that made me question it to.

I didn't see the last ep...probably'll watch it wed. nite...I thought the theory was silly @ 1st but it seemed really plausible after ep 7...if it is him tho I'm guessing we'll find out before the season's end what happened to make him hate dolores so much...I guess maybe she does something to make him realize she's just a robot and her feelings unlike his were never true...idk...but there's def a connection there...maybe he is the brother-in-law and he somehow takes his knife (maybe even kills him) but that would def explain the pure disdain he has for dolores as the MIB
truly a dumbass - how can't he see that at best in the end he'll get fired...I was agreeing with the comments regarding the Asian tech, but then remembered what he was doing with the bird earlier. Mave is the bird on steroids for him.
It's from a movie called A Good Old Fashioned Orgy.where is this from?

thanks!
I love the show, but hate the techs that Mave seems to have under her control, no one is that stupidIt's your opinion but I disagree with all of this.
But I get why some shows don't click for some.. case in point... I don't like Breaking Bad. I've tried but it's not for me. But I didn't go in any breaking bad threads to point out its flaws. I just let people enjoy the show.
