Underrated horror movies ?

nah..i think the only movie i ever watch that was b4 the 70's was the original blob/the thing/lil shop of horrors, cartoons/disney movies, some sitcoms, prob west side story and a few other flicks.. my timelines are 80's and up for the most part
Well this was an excellent adaptation of the original story which was called the best new gothic story ever written by Stephen King. It first appeared in playboy , written by Ray Russell. Well worth reading.

Silver Bullet 1985 with Corey Haim and Gary Busey. this is a werewolf movie where the werewolf was ambiguous and not filmed straight on for much of the movie per Stephen King's request. In doing so it was actually scarier because it allowed your mind to make up for it.

There was one scene where they showed the werewolves reflection in the water now, and another where they showed the werewolf looking through a window that only one of the characters saw. it's that kind of brilliant direction that made this one of my favorites and continues to be
