If you cook jerk chicken in the oven, its bullshit.

If you grill jerk chicken with charcoal, its not exactly authentic.

Best Jerk in my opinion is right on Flatbush called Peppa's Jerk Chicken.. Straight hole in that way spot open 24/7.. See all the yardies and island massive alike in that spot 2,3,4 in the Am..

I learned most of those places use a pimento wood substitute. If you really want to get technical, real jerk chicken use pimento wood not only for smoke flavor, but the wood is the actual grill that the chicken sits on while its being cooked.

Also, these corn fed American chickens don't have much flavor to begin with. So if you want authentic, BK comes close, but there's no place like home.

But they are not cacs, they are black people who if weren't born in the West Indies most likely have parents who are from there... What's more important is what they were exposed to througout their lives NOT specifically where they were born... I know many people who were born and grew up in Jamaica who can't cook a damn thing so it really doesn't matter where you're originally from.
