They didn't send in the SWAT team for the traffic violations though. They sent the SWAT team after she refused to answer the warrant and surrender. After she allegedly threatened police with a shotgun. After they learned she had a child with her.
You handled it well.A month after I moved to South Florida 8 years ago I was in my new apartment unpacking some left over boxes, when there was a knock at my door l. I open up and there are like 20 cops, weapons drawn, lined up against the wall, going down stairs on both sides, presenting a warrant look for some dude. Caught totally off guard, I tell then that I'm not who they're looking for show them my lease & ID. They leave, but as they do, I ask "What he do? I don't want people showing up here looking for drugs or revenge?" The main cop was like it's nothing like that, it's a warrant for failing to appear in a fraud case. They did all that for some bullshit. So maybe it's common enough practice for all warrants...
The cops woulds show up for a few months after, but each time with less and less cops. Until it was just one cop. I would keep my license and lease by the door ready for these dudes...
Not saying she wasn't targeted, but if I had held up with my gun drawn, saying come get me; I probably wouldn't have made it out alive. I don't think many should expect to. Reading this, I can't help but think how much of a waste of resources it was to send so many officers with weapons drawn to serve a warrant for fraud.

I believe in descalation and judging by her traffic video she wasn't very rational even in the presence of her kids, now I don't know the truth but the cops say they tried to defuse the situation for 7 hours against a mentally unstable person with a loaded gun and a child in the house..... my thing is why weren't the cops wearing body cams?
Uh, they only sent swat after she showed a gun. I'm sure the police could've handled it better but so could she. Plus, if the cops come to my door for a damn ticket im just gonna go get arraigned, pay the shit and be at home in an hour. Brother I've learned that people want to pick and choose what is and what isn't, and create their own narrative. No one is saying anything about keeping for the police, but this passed the accountability thing is really annoying as hell. I don't give a damn about police, local government, whatever, it is the parents responsibility first and foremost to protect their children. And just like I said in my original post, there's no guarantee things would have turned out differently, however it's our responsibility to not contribute to the hostilities of that situation as well. Especially when children are involved. For anyone to argue that point, it really says a lot for the basic common sense of that person.

I grew up in the projects in the 70's and visited family members still living there in the late 80's Lead paint was a major issue back then and in the schools. Now with the recent discoveries of higher than normal lead in drinking water which is seems to be in the urban areas you can correlate higher than average crime rates and lead in the drinking water. And who put the lead in the drinking water?

No one has said she had the kid in her lap. We also know she had a shotgun cuz we saw her load it months before. We also WILL know if there are rounds coming the other way towards the cops if we want to really know in the future. oh that's right you don't believe ANY of the media. We also have her parents there who aren't denying any of this. We also have her boyfriend who the neighbor says she even pulled the gun on, causing him to leave. The boyfriend has also not come out denying that she shot.

She had a habit of being a badass , then freezing up in the last minute and putting the CHILDREN between her and the law instead of just standing IN FRONT of them. She did it on cam. She also had a habit of looking to the law for protection when she needed it (put a warrant on her boyfriend for domestic abuse- another reason they came to serve) , then all of sudden she's sovereign and doesn't abide by the law. And if she is sovereign then WHOs law does she abide by? And where is their law codified? Simple answer: no where. She was literally just tired of having to pay for registration for the car she purchased via the laws of this land.
And she's not the first to try that, and jt NEVER works for anyone, Black or white. There are tons of videos of people trying this shit and getting embarrassed. This is 1000% on her. Actually it isn't. There's a ton of blame to go to the bullshit talkers that put this foolishness in her head from the comfort of their homes online.
