NBA Offseason 2016 - FreeAgency money dried up...Waiters gets $2.6 after OKC pulled $6+ offer...

Yo @Mack1052 do u think we should've gone after sullinger or lance stephenson

With the new offense we run based upon passing and cutting, I feel Lance wouldn't work. He's an iso player who when out is solid but doesn't mesh with our new philosophy.

That's why we targeting shooters in Crabbe and Johnson and playmakers and attackers like Lin.

My heat will probably suck but that does not mean I can't enjoy and talk about basketball.

Nah man. We all enjoy the sport. Every round, I was pulling for some other team. But you have bag back and give some respect to their original fans. True followers of the org. You don't have to do shit, but that would be common courtesy. Sportsmanlike.

You can jump from team to team, like Kevin Durant, and nobody can stop you. But you're going to be called out on it. Golden Hate for the title in 2017.

Basically Durant is due a 35% max next season. The Dubs would like Durant to sign using his non Bird Rights.

35% max will put Durant around 35 million next season. Using his Bird rights puts a 35 million cap hold on the dubs which would leave about 10 million which would not be enough to obtain iggy and or Livingston bird rights.

When you look at a Cap of about 101 million that would put KD 35% max at about 33 million. His none bird rights would be around 31 million.

If KD agrees to the 31 million non bird rights vs 33 million bird rights deal the dubs are in great shape

So in reality the lower the cap is to KD none bird rights you can keep all of the other players bird rights and go over the cap to resign them.

One reason Lebron also keeps opting out because they are using his non bird rights which allows the Cavs to go over the cap to resign everyone else.

I been said GSW was my Bandwagon team.

Just can't pull for the Cavs or my rivals.

Cavs working on deal that would reunite Chris Andersen, LeBron James

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to shore up their bench for next season by targeting one of LeBron James' old championship pals from Miami: Chris Andersen.

Cavs coach Tyronn Lue broke the news during an interview with NBA TV on a Las Vegas summer league broadcast Friday. A team source told ESPN the Cavs are "working on it" in regards to signing the 6-foot-10 big man, who turned 38 this week.

"Not done at all," the source said.

Cleveland has part of the mini midlevel exception remaining to dangle Andersen's way, after using the bulk of it to re-sign Richard Jefferson this week. It also can try to acquire Andersen by offering a veteran's minimum contract because of the Cavs' position as a tax-paying team.

Andersen averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 20 appearances with Memphis last season.

He would give the Cavs an experienced center to back up Tristan Thompson in the wake of Timofey Mozgov signing with the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent this week.

Shoulda passed the ball to the rolling big man tho... But yea, Celtics gonna regret passing on him.

Most definitely. More of a combo guard so his passing is up to par yet. He'll improve like Westbrook did

Edit: Big man didn't really roll, just got in position for the rebound. Woulda been a tough pass

This is intriguing but it won't matter..players are opting out so all cap shit is mute

Of all the undrafted players and guys looking for a chance in the D League why give Anderson a contract. Larry Sanders is trying to make a comeback. They should be able to get him for cheap. Sign someone who's hungry that will earn their money.

LBJ keeping his ppl fed

Reports are that OKC won't be trading Westbrook. Risky move but I guess Russ told them that theirs a good chance he stays. Not many SF's on the market to fill in. Gerald Green, PJ Hairston, Chase Burdunger. Few options other than using Morrow and Singler.

the assumption is that russ will walk...depends on if he about his $$$...contending or both...I'm guessing he stands to make the most $$$ w/ OKC tho and prove he's always been the man there and thus stay...can't see who'd he go to next year that could compete w/ GS or CLE except the spurs and will they have $$$ to entertain him

Rudy Gay, but I don't know how that trade would go down.
