NBA Offseason 2016 - FreeAgency money dried up...Waiters gets $2.6 after OKC pulled $6+ offer...

Respect...

Follow up...
1). So superstar players don't really have the options of being FREE agents then. They are under a different set of rules that puts their ability to win chips in the hands of GMs? So essentially, with your logic, they aren't really free agents, their ability to choose should be restricted!?! So, average players should have more rights and free will than Superstars?

2). His career needs to be defined by what others decide is best for him? He gave 9 years to OKC, even erupted when he initially had the chance to leave. So at what point is it 'acceptable' for him to leave? What criteria does he have to meet in order to be able to use the rights given to him as a free agent and make the choice for his career that HE wants to?

3). Again, what does the term FREE mean in the term FREE agent for a superstar? Who determines that there HAS to be the 'balance' you speak of? So, if a player is a superstar then he should have his right to choose to play wherever he wants to violated and restricted?

4). The journey has meaning to YOU... Unfortunately, you didn't make the sacrifices to hone your skills, reach the highest levels of your craft to be one of the best in the world at what you do. He didn't spend hours in the gym, put up 1000s of shots, etc to develop his skills to put the desires of the casual fan above his own happiness. Again I say, what does the term FREE agent mean? If his choices need to be limited to only certain teams, then the whole FREE agent thing needs to be redefined.

He made the choice he felt is best for him.... It is what it is... That's what FREE agency means...

Fam,

It goes without saying that much of what i write is just my opinion, and that Durant shouldnt give a fuck about it.

But my opinion is based on facts though. My argument is about legacy, not actual "rights". With that in mind...

1) Yes superstars are under a different set of rules. Its a different conversation with them. LeBron isnt trying to catch Derek Fisher and Kobe didnt have to prove he can win without Robert Horry.

2) I dont care that he left OKC, its who he joining that i feel diminishes him. But i will remind people that OKC had as much TALENT as any team in the league, so I dont want to hear that he HAD to leave to have a chance to win.

3) Competition determines the balance. Superstars compete for a legacy. If you go to a team that doesnt need you much to win rings, then i cant consider your contribution to be worth much. GS WON 73 games last year and were up 3-1 in the finals. If they win next year Durant will have improved them by a grand total of ONE game. Yay.

4) Actually Im a hardcore fan. No it should matter to Durant. Yes he is free to take advantage of everything that free agency entails. At the end of the day I just want this one thing. When he wins his ring(s), I dont want him in the convo as the other superstars who had to do the heavy lifting and crossed the finished line.

I hear you, but now you are making excuses for him by reaching like that. Its also possible Westbrook didnt commit to Horford because Durant didnt commit to him first. Westbrook has no reason to stay if Durant leaves.

Beyond wanting the best situation to win a ring(s), we dont know what else motivated Durant to bounce.

no excuses. im saying if someone won't commit you shouldn't stay
riley just wouldn't commit to wade and his ass is out of there
id always rather make the first move than be stuck holding the bag.

Well that could be close to his numbers, don't have to overdue it...

29 mins a game for the starters...
I'd like to think MoufStayWideOpen could average a triple double....

That team made 3 pt record probably get down with two months left into the season...
He's going to average at least 22 -25pts a game easily..for him to say 17 and for you to somewhat agree is just ridiculous

:lol2: why the fuck not stay in Miami? Shit was that serious? Either way, the season is a fucking joke. Riley and the Jew must have really fucked up. :smh:

I said all he has to do is get that...

But it's gonna be curry who Wong do much...he told KD he don't care about being the man

You u cheap niggas ain't clear cap space to bring him aboard?

Shit they would've had to trade love for that...

I want to see it they can flip those remaining trade exception to Houston for Ariza...

Getting Dunleavy means JR is done in Cleveland if so fuck that...

So the cavs got rid of JR for the Dunlevy? Utterly stupid

Man this shit is bad...
Man they better hope Winslow makes a huge sophomore jump from his rookie season. Whiteside posting the Mr Crabs meme on his Twitter account. They lost Wade, Deng, Johnson, and Bosh health is up in the air. They gonna be looking at 1 year deals to save money on Westbrook for next year.

Cavs are using Andy's trade exception from last year to covered Dunleavy's contract. They should still be able to resign JR.

I think they should still have Haywood's exception(if they didn't lose it) and part of Andy's

Nice. Hopefully one of the Blazer young dudes won't be retained.

Crabbe, Harkless hopefully
They are both restricted. Blazers just have to match. I posted something about Crabbe agreeing to terms with some team the other day. Pretty sure Portland will match Crabbe's offer sheet.
