Durant signs with Warriors

"A real man"...I've heard it all now..ok dude I'm out........
Man Dudes are seriously in denial. If they think that this team is not going to run most teams off the court they are seriously tripping.

Swap out Durant for Barnes and the Cavs either get swept or lose in five.

There are certain unwritten rules that men follow who don't want to be labeled as a bitch... One of them is, if a team embarrass you by coming back from three games to 1, you don't hop on their dicks by joining their team to be the fourth option.... Not when you are the top dog of your team...
This is telling the world that he'd rather be a roll player on a team that lost to LeBron than be the top dog of his own team that lost to the team that lost to LeBron...
This is some bottom bitch shit...
I agree,but u do know a bottom bitch is a good thing right?Thats the
most loyal hoe u got.

fam let's take a step back from all this shit.

all these cats are slaving for these team owners who use the shit out of the players and the fans.

at the end of the day shouldn't a black man put himself in the best position to get the chip, which puts him in the best position to get the cac (owners and sponsors) for as much as he can for the duration of his short career?

and at the end of the day isn't it gonna be 100x better to be in the bay area where his star can really shine while connecting with billionaires and learning the tech game, setting himself up for a solid post league career?
These so called bros don't wanna hear that because they hurt he didn't go to their team or they feel that secretly GS is going to run the league, or they scared about how GS really gonna be, etc etc...you're speaking the truth but it will go in one ear and out the other

Somebodys gotta be a sidekick and sacrifice that Finals MVP. Who will it be Steph? Or KD?

KD gonna be doing commercials for Tesla and oracle systems now .. Computer stuff

Fuck a chip. Put yourself in a better to experience the freedom this country claims is so great.

Tell me, what was so different between the CBA in 2004, and say ... 2007 when Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Allen joined up, and Garnett was bringing in 23 mil that year, and Ray and Pierce were both making over 15m per year? IF someone wanted to do it back then, they could have.

Lastly, I think it is EXTREMELY disingenuous to suggest that the only options available to superstar is to play on a team with minimal talent, and play with MULTIPLE All-Stars.

Durant had THREE CHANCES TO CLOSE OUT GS AND FAILED TO! Explain to ME, how in the FUCK is that OKC'S FAULT? Then you JOIN THE TEAM THAT PUT YOU OUT THE VERY NEXT SEASON?

Are you seriously condoning this, bro? Leaving isn't a problem, but the team that just beat you?? Are you seriously telling me, the competitor in you would rather play with the team that took your cookies, than come back and beat them, if not with OKC, another squad?

No one has EVER said players don't need help. But, there is a difference between help and stacking the deck so much in your favor that you're virtually guaranteed to win. Then we want to pat these people on the back for the chips they won like that wasn't the most obvious outcome when they teamed up. "OH, LEBRON HAS BEEN TO SIX STRAIGHT FINALS. THAT HASN'T BEEN DONE SINCE BLAH, BLAH..."

....it hasn't been done since ANOTHER super-star had a stacked deck.

I'm to the point that if someone played with multiple no. 1 options, and they are also a no. 1 option, their rings don't mean the same. Come the fuck on. Any superstar team up with a couple of All-Stars and look like great champions. That shit is like sending an NBA team back to college and acting genuinely surprised that they NBA team is winning or competing in the Finals every year.

But, once again, I get it. Some of you aren't competitors. Call it what the fuck it is. You play games and set the difficulty on beginner, and beat your chest when you win. Cool.
We could go back and forth and debate, but let me say one thing that illuminates this whole situation.

Playing basketball is Kevin Durant's job.
Period. End of story. This is the means by which he earns a living. Everyone who is crying about legacy and jumping on the bandwagon, etc. fails to realize that if you worked at Twitter and had an opportunity to work at Facebook, you would leave in a heartbeat. The money is right. The situation is right. This is the same thing. Work at Microsoft. Leave for Apple. The mistake everyone is making is they LOVE to romanticize the game of basketball. This isn't the playground or the park or the hoop at the elementary school. This is a multibillion dollar business and the commodity (the players) have the option to capitalize as much as the owners do. Look at Harden. Dude was a commodity. He wanted a fair market deal. He wanted to be paid what he was worth. What happened? OKC traded that ninja because they didn't feel he was worth paying the luxury tax. They made a business decision. Happens all the time for owners and I don't see a revolt in the street. As soon as a player does the same thing, he's a traitor. Y'all need to 1.) stop playing yourselves into thinking this game is a game and 2.) get over that slave mentality. The players deserves their's.

You can't argue with Kobe fans
They aren't real basketball fans

If Kobe is a favorite player there is nothing wrong with that
But Kobe fans said he is better than Jordan
Greatest all time
Better than Magic
He is a warrior, killer instinct, clutch, work ethic
Things that just aren't even close to true

They lack any form of objectivity

Even worse, they have to degrade other great players to maintain this fallacy.

The only reason Kobe even came up in this thread is because Kobe fans are exaggerating his situation to denigrate Durant

Durants story is still writing itself
We shall see how things pan out
You might want to read this thread again and see how Kobe got involved.

And notice how quiet X and KT got after they were shut down for their bs comments. Neither could back up again anything they were saying.

You guys mention Kobe more than the so-called stans.

You don't think Roc Nation was in his ear about that? Plus Iggy is an investor in startups and KD and him are tight. The Roc was telling him how his outside money will dwarf his playing money.

Fam, anytime a black man has a chance to make a lot of money and has the freedom to do what HE wants to do in this instance, its a "hoe move". If white daddy is not orchestrating things or in control of the situation its morally wrong. PERIOD.

You stay caping for Kobe more than his wife. All that devils advocate BS to mask the fact you're just an ordinary every day Kobe stan. Not even a real Laker fan.

House Negroes constantly telling the Field Negroes that shit is sweet on the plantation. Don't fuck it up. Just go with it. They gonna take care of us. :smh:

I'm always a proponent of getting yours while you can. No one promises you shit, especially in pro sports. KD would resign with OKC and let's say that the cap doesn't go up as high as previously thought, and OKC decides to trade Westbrook knowing that they don't want to afford the luxury tax with his new deal. KD now stuck with 60¢ on the dollar for whatever trade they get for Russ. Dude made the right call.

Where them posts at. Back it up. Come up with something new.

You mentioned Kobe before i did.
You cape for LeBron more than his wife. What's the difference?

Somebodys gotta be a sidekick and sacrifice that Finals MVP. Who will it be Steph? Or KD?
To be fair, Kobe has 5 rings and he has 2 Finals MVP and Gasol got cheated out of one of them.
Curry was MVP last year and Iggy got that Finals MVP.
I don't think that stuff really matters.

It's cool.

Kobe is chilling in his mansion seeing which commercial he is going to film in China or Italy and which side piece he's going to take with him.

We are arguing on a porn board.

It's cool for discussion though.

We love basketball so we discuss.

How do you figure? So you don't think getting rid of a key piece of the team (Ibaka) just when you're on the cusp of winning after NINE years played no part in it?
What key piece. He don't even block no more. They runnin a different offense

All truth here

But the people saying yes to KD's been talking shit about Lebron for years.

It's hypocrisy at its finest.

What I don't like about this bullshit.

Durant knew he wanted to dip, cool.

1. Durant left OKC without any compensation for his departing talent.
2. Durant knew he was leaving and let OKC make moves to keep him. (Trade away Ibaka)
3. Durant knew he was leaving and waited til all the quality free agent had signed with any teams.

Durant was out to fuck the Thunder.
He left Westbrook high and dry.

Any championship will come with an asterisk.
If the don't win then he will be ripped hard as hell.

When it comes to individual legacies it does.
Kobe is considered one of the greatest, but he was Shaq's "sidekick" for 3 of his rings. I don't remember what he shot in the Game 7 of that last chip (it was awful), but anyone who knows ball knows that Gasol deserved that Finals MVP. None of that has affected his legacy.

The funny thing about legacy is that it is media driven. Remember when the Cavs were about to lose and everyone said Lebron sucked because he was going to lose 5 finals. Now that he won, people are saying he may be greater than Jordan. The white-owned media loves creating and propagating a narrative that really just makes them money with non-stop hot takes. Players, fans, and truth be damned.

The views you had 6 years ago, you still have them now? How about when you were in your mid-20s? When I was in my mid-20s, I said all sorts of shit that I look back at now and laugh. Muthafuckas can't grow and evolve? Heaven help us all if we are held to our word and standards we set 6 years prior while barely a grown man.
