NBA Offseason 2016 - FreeAgency money dried up...Waiters gets $2.6 after OKC pulled $6+ offer...

Sisters will still be ass, Knicks will probably be a second tier team depending on the health of Noah and Rose..... And Toronto will do what they do every year. Make the playoffs and fail.

Celtics are a interesting case. Hortford is a good piece but they needed a number one. How goodnirnbad they are will be dependent on how much Marcus Banks develops IMO. They needed a legit number one option this offseason and instead got a highly paid role player on Hortford.

I kid when I talk about the Nets. I actually like our moves and I think we got a few more to make around July 7 when RFA offer sheets are set to match.

I could easily say on the pessimistic side:

Sixers got talent but are still raw and parts don't match.

Knicks are loaded starting wise but with 3 mil left in space, lack an adequate bench which is quite significant for such an injury prone starting lineup.

Boston has Horford but how big will his impact really be? Still don't have a guy who needs to be doubled and gets them an easy shot .

Raps only lose Biyombo but make no improvements besides bringing back the inconsistent Derozan.

Nets bring in players but none are starters. Shit is bleak when your banking on Jamal Crawford to play sign and get significant minutes

Half full/half empty scenario.

I wonder if the Heat owner Arison was willing pay that $54 million luxury tax...

would LeBron have STAYED in Miami????

On First Take Coleman said that the Cav's valuation went from 500 mil to 1.1 bil.
54 million seems like a bargin.
I think it was less about the money at some point.
If I'm taking the blame when we lose, but when we win it's because DWade showed me how or I need two Hall of Famers, I would bounce too.

Yeah man I just think you factor in its DC and the way that the salary cap is...... DC didn't have much more to offer than the rest id the league. When essentially every team in the league has cap space....... That pretty much eliminates teams like DC from being big players and most teams for that matter. Only players getting signed are 3rd tier trash.

These dudes man..... You just don't know what they think. Like I felt the same way about Dirk in his prime. Who wouldn't want to play with a unselfish superstar who can put up 30 points on 12 to 15 shots? Why wouldn't a cat who likes to jack up 20 shots a game not want to play with that?

I will say this though about the Wizards. We do have a coach, Scott Brookes, who can develop some of young players, mainly Otto, Walls, and Beal. We never had that and I think that is what the Wizards are betting on. Shore up the front court with the two bigs we signed and it's not looking too bad.

True but we gotta take a few things into account. ..

Coaches

Veteran leadership

Play off experience

Injuries

Cause all these teams do NOT have a recent run of success.

F*ck it...

No max contracts...

How much would the top 20 be WORTH and paid for one year service?

I would consider the Raps a successful team over the last few seasons and they still have their nucleus

Couple reasons and I'll touch on your points loosely

While he is good owner who wants to so and treats his players well once they get here he can be annoying if you don't like his douchebag personality type. I think that's why we can't get any real niggas and we go after a certian type of nigga and white boys if you really pay attention to his tenure here as the owner especially at the beginning. Look man not all these players want to be your friend Mark and he just won't accept that.

Like when Monta was here and everything soured they called him "moody" bitch what does that even mean? He just not the typical friendly ass nigga y'all like on your fucking team. But you still haven't replaced his skill set and he is the ONLY person to lead the Mavs in scoring besides Dirk in the last like 15 years.

Now about that coach he is a VERY GOOD COACH he gets the most out of some thrown together ass rosters. But he has some HUGE faults. For one he will call out his players in the media and these sensitive new age stars ain't down for that. Also it's his way or the highway and only Pop can get away with that in 2016. It's a players league now more than ever. Carlisle still hasn't gotten with the program. He refuses to develop and play anyone who isn't past their prime he hates young players. All in all I think he has a bad rep around the NBA so his presence is actually hurting us more than anything.

There or no state taxes but it's other places like that as well and players have chosen then over us. From Miami, to Houston, to San Antonio. And then players have picked to play in somewhere that's a larger market such as Mew York or Chicago over here state taxes be damned.

All in all its always something it's pitiful and sickening

And you damn right it's karma for the dumbest shit I've seen or heard of in sports. Fuck Mark Cuban. He ain't some savvy businessman he got lucky and got rich.

Just like he was lucky to buy a team with a young Dirk Nowitzki on it

Who has been covering for his and his front office deficiencies for his entire career.

Excellent points D-Town. Triple bitch post coming in a minute. Cuban can be a pain in the ass to many. Carlisle rubs many people the wrong way and is not cared for by many who have played for him. Very arrogant and feels as though he knows it all and seems unwilling to adapt or adjust to different ideas when things aren't working. Yet when the team is going well he acts like he invented the fuckin game. Fuck him completely.

Yeah gonna take at least 2 years for my Sixers to make some serious noise. I'm thinking 29-32 wins this year. Big improvement from 10 last year.

Could have had a plan for starters. Then could have aggressively pursued Anderson and Hortford. Overpaid if needed. The money has to be spent anyway.

More importantly make better trades and draft decisions leading up to this point.

I agree about he latter.... Could've made some better trades and drafts......I don't know about these Ryan Anderson and Horrford type dudes.....Andersons shooting could be used especially with a point like Wall. Free agency is suppose to be a lot better next year. Is it worth spending now and eliminating yourself next year?

You do have to spend at least 90% of it though.

Why is everyone shocked by these contracts? It's been well known that the cap was going up tremendously this season and even more so next season. I hate when people argue about a guy's contract wondering if he's worth it. If the team gave it to him then he's worth it. You can't judge these contracts by the previous one's that were set under a different cap. I doubt anyone would like other people discussing their worth to their bosses at their jobs. I can't fucking stand these reporters who hating on these brothers about these contracts. No one ever says about all the Damn money these owners are taking in year after year. If that wasn't the case they wouldn't still own a team. So fuck em.
The hate is strong as fuck
Saw "Coach" on ESPN saying the word of the day is "delusional".
What the fuck?

The top target right now, at least according to reports, is Jamal Crawford, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year,. Fed up with a low-ball offer from the Clippers the 36-year-old is being pursued by (at least) the Nets, the 76ers, Celtics .... and the Warriors, who must be considered the leading contender. Start the bidding at at least $10 million a year. At least.
