I'll be honest, and you're free to disagree with me, but I consider Iggy Azalea more of a thief than JT. He isn't the first white person to sing r&b well(Micheal McDonald is respected by other soul musicians) and it comes off as he appreciates and respects the art. Iggy is an Aussie that doesn't rap in an Aussie accent, but a southern impersonation. That's jacking art and culture, I don't think he's doing that.

There isnt much of a dinstinction between the two honestly.. If there is, i would say that IA has less of a responsibility to contribute and acknowledge the culture than JT due to her not being brought up in the cultures and tensions on the American south and having an ingrained understanding of the history of race relations and musical culture as it pertains to this country.
Further, the issue with JT here is that he used his platform to pretend to side with the sentiment of Jesse Williams without actually siding with him or saying anything of substance.. Then he doubled down in condescending fashion and displayed an utter lack of understanding in making a statement akin to "all lives matter" or "i dont see color". The is compounded due to his history of NEVER making a social stand on these matters despite profiting off of black culture and music his entire career. His nipplegate history also doesnt help matters.
Well it isnt about reading minds or knowing what a person is thinking. Its about judging and assessing ones mindset based on their circumstance and actions.. And here, i think its safe to be critical or suspect of his commentary... and at the very least call it out for being the toothless bullshit that it was.
