Charles Barkley: LeBron James will never be a top-five NBA great

I quoted that post because it was your last one.... my point still stands though. The irony is, the only reason the argument is always LeBron vs Jordan is because LeBron fans always bring Jordan up and initiates the debate... LeBron hasn't one anything, since it's HIS people who bring Jordan up not the other way around, as if they need Jordan to validate him. His Airness was considered the GOAT before LeBron was even thought of, LeBron fans need Jordan to validate him... :hmm:

You still shouldnt be quoting me. Im not a MJ hater. Im not disputing his legacy. He is the best scorer ive ever seen.

Be real for a minute. The hate goes both ways. This board proves it.

Are you telling me you never see haters use MJ as a way of dissing James?

Come on man.

Tallblackchi says Bron is another Dominique. And that T Mac and Bird are better. He also says MJ made Phil a HOF coach. :roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2:

I must have missed the part about Wilkins.. Bird's teams were STACKED. T-Mac was nice, but not on Lebron's level.

Didn't Phil implement a strategy that improved the Bulls? Phil was doing it big a decade after Mike retired. He deserves a Nobel Peace price for what he did the first time with the Lakers. Brown and Blatt out the league. We still have to see how Lue does.

Seriously. A coach of the fucking year(Brown) can't get a damn job in the league.

Comprehension Bruh.... I'll slow it down for you...

The inclusion of His Airness is ALWAYS initiated by a LeBron fan... Normally one specific LeBron fan. I actually started a thread celebrating a LeBron accomplishment, and within 3 minutes Jordan was brought up....

The only context Jordan is used to 'diss' LeBron is in response to his name being brought up in the first place...

Most casual fans downplay coaching. LeBron winning 3 chips with 2 non HOF coaches is remarkable. Winning Finals MVP with 2 different franchises is remarkable. Only Kareem has done it. And it took him 10 years to accomplish it. Bron did it in a 4 season span.

The dead giveaway that Bron at his best is better than MJ at his is how much his dickriders go out of their way to denigrate his accomplishments. You dont see fans of Russell, Wilt, Kareem act in this manner. They dont see Bron as the threat MJ and his boppers do. I somewhat dont blame them, he is a more complete player. More versatile.

I think I am one of the few people who can speak on this subject with little of no bias, being that I am both a Jordan and LeBron fan and rooted for both of them through out their careers...
To me they are apples and oranges both great... Jordan was that superman who you knew would always win at the end of the day... LeBron is that underdog who seems like nothing goes his ways yet he finds ways to get shit done, he never seems perfect but like the Hulk he is able to go to Hulk smash mode and become greater than you imagined..
To be honest I do not think anyone will pass Jordan as the greatest but I always said that LeBron has the chance to be the goat b to Jordans a... Its funny I said this years ago on BGOL only to hear ESPN say the same thing a few days ago...
Instead of wasting time trying to bring the other one down to make the other look better why not enjoy them both, because once greatness is gone so is part of your life that enjoyed and witnessed it..

There was a time when ppl used to shit on Jackson saying he had the best player in the league and scottie so he was not a great coach.

Now it's Jordan couldn't win without him.

What will be tomorrow argument.

I disagree but im too old for your "but he started it" bullshit. You can save your sob story for someone else. Its clearly an argument you that 'specific one LeBron fan' should be having.

When you quote me address something i wrote.

White folks love boosting up on black guy to tear down another, they did it with Michel Jackson and Prince, 2pac Biggie, Malcom X and King, now they are using Jordan to slight LeBron...
To be fair they used to use Magic and Bird to slight Jordan back in the days..

If you look at my post history on the subject, you will see I really only go in on LeBron to fuck with his ultimate Stan. I have even started threads about his accomplishments, etc. Ultimately, I realize that the whole GOAT debate is subjective, and something that can and will never be validated unless players are able to be compared in like environments, like competition and head to head. Once you get in analyzing factors of comparison when those elements are unavailable, you get to a debate on different opinions...

My whole point was, damn near ever Jordan vs LeBron debate is born of one individuals weird almost psychotic obsession with both... Here we are in a thread where Barkley speaks on LeBron, yet Jordan is the 'STAR' of the thread...

I guarantee you if you go back and find the very first instance Jordan's name was brought up in a fashion to initiate a debate comparison with LeBron, its that same Joker who brought it up...

Family really needs help I seriously believe that.... no attempts for lol's with that statement either... :smh:

It's not just white folks bruh... that overused cliche is really a default somewhat pathetic bait and switch tactic... It is definitely not just white folk looking to tear black people down. We do a good enough job of that ourselves...

When I say white people, I should clarify, I do not mean actually white people, I am actually referring to their culture and way of thinking, and yes it is sad to see so many of our so called black people embarrassing that culture as if its our own...

All due respect Bruh... I will quote you and whomever else I want to and type whatever the hell I want to while quoting the post... Just felt you needed to understand that so we are both clear...

I still see it as an overused cliche Bruh... Some of us are fucked up on our own, and the default blame the white man, white culture or whatever is overused and deflective. Some of us have a fucked up way of thinking because we are fucked up, and it has nothing to do with white people or their culture...

Cavs won't get any credit man. When the GS bench shot 70 percent and saved game one, the bandwagon was like  But when the bench played like the bench and couldn't bail out the superstars because the superstars wouldn't show up, pleas are copped at a record pace.

Lue earned his stripes adjusting lineups. It came down to the Warriors trying to hide Curry, and the Cavs working screens to expose him in game 7. Cavs superstars didn't get exposed in game 7...and that's the bottom line...
Too much logic
Wayyyy too much

To make a point we have to say somebody "bitched up" or choked

You need to make this a motivational poster
I personally don't give them credit for black people's situation. That would be admitting their superiority

Man, I remember when he led his other championship team in pts, rebounds, and assists. But this was insane. Still ain't good enough for some people. Does this against a 73-win team and people still can actually have their brains activate nerve endings to type and say the craziest fucking shit.

The cult of Skip Bayless.
There were a few articles about Skip Bayless using his Lebron hate for ratings
People mistake it for journalism.
The press spouts an opinion then uses numbers to validate them.
Steph can score 25 points and his team could win by 15. If there is a hater , they would say that Stephs 4th quarter scoring isn't clutch. They would fail to point out that he sat down the whole 4th.
They would fail to point out that GS was up by 30.
Then the rest of the talking heads would follow suit.
"Hell, it works for Skip, (5 million a year) I'll have a hot take too"
It's basically impossible to watch all the games, even if it's your job. The average person had to look at stats.
Stats tell you the result, not accurately either.
This is why advanced analytics don't work.

You forgot to call him lil fella.....

You know you want to.

I'm a Lebron fan I guess . I'm more of a basketball fan overall.
I personally don't need to validate Lebron with Jordan. Jordan is Jordan. Numbers and championships , as crazy as that sounds, don't really tell the story of Jordans impact.

Born in Chicago so my bias is obvious.

I always said Jordan is my favorite player but I would start my team with Magic. TEAM is a collective efforts. Magic was excellent as a team player.

That being said Lebron brings the best that Magic and Michael had to offer. I personally have not witnessed a player that does this this consistently.

LeBron has done things that Jordan has not. That isn't a knock on Jordan. It's just credit to Lebron.

Same with Steph. It's not a knock on Miller or Allen to say that Steph is doing shit that neither one of them did. At the same time, 8 points in 8.9 seconds and that corner three with the Finals on the line is something Steph hasn't done either.

The press needs to make shit either / or for ratings.
They should not be taken seriously.
A lot of the people that opine are just trying to be as entertaining as possible. They will lie to seem like they have inside information.

No doubt Bruh... Hearing that shit constantly is like someone running fingernails down a damn chalk board. We must be a race of pathetic puppets to give white people so much credit for damn near everything about us... :smh:

They would also use shit like "pace numbers" to validate LBJ or Russ Westbrook and/or other players; at the same time those numbers cant be used to validate steph:hmm:; They would also say Kyrie had a great series averaging 27pts, 3rbs, 3assist; and then turn around and say Steph played bad last year while averaging 26pts, 5rbs, 5assits:hmm:..people will use numbers to hate on players; LBJ is great, MJ is great; and other players are great; lets just leave it as that...

did they not choke:hmm:
I wouldn't call it that
If they got swept then yes
Tied with a minute to go in the fourth quarter of game 7 is not choking to me
I don't really need extremes to frame my thinking
Press tried to cover their ass for being wrong. They are supposed to be experts.
They go so far to trash/praise players that they have to be extreme to cya .

The heat Steph is getting is Bullshit to me.
The man is worthy of most of the praise he gets
I've said it many times on this board. Steph and the Warriors are great for the NBA.
It took a historic performance to stop a historic team.
As a fan, I am glad to have experienced it.

I think majority of people were wrong in that series; But I think when you dont score the last 4mins of a game and you are up at that point; and you have never done that the entire season and playoffs; well thats a form of choking to me; Its not like Cavs played great defense that whole 4mins; to me there was an element of choking going on; how much well that is debatable but there was some choking:giggle:

True I agree with that; but there are several posters on this board that just hate him regardless; Clearly he didnt play up to his standards or the standards that he had set; and they lost so hate was coming; but I think all greats have been through what hes going thru; so its good learning experience; he and GS will be back; Im sure alot of these haters are on their knees praying they dont get KD...

Something about your perspective is very insightful.
Don't want to derail the thread but that's ether you are speaking.
Hotep hustlers always want to go to Ancient Egypt for proof of superiority yet go right back to the white man coppin pleas .
I prefer to see myself as an ancient God that created the white man, took away my own memories of who i am, then challenged myself to remember and excel in the worst of conditions.
My universal Game 7 after being down 3-1.

I get you
Both teams shot horribly in the last few minutes
Long season, hard fought game.
It took its toll.
GS had just been through a hard fought seven game series with the Thunder. Cavs were resting having swept two series and winning in six in the ECF
I called the Cavs so it would be easy to say they choked, but don't see that.
GS is an amazing team

Yea I feel that; I just think when you are up 3-1 and you playing game 7 at home; then you cant lose that game; GS had every opportunity to win; they just didnt make plays when needed; cavs did; but again Ive seen this happen to plenty of great players and teams; Not down 3-1 come back, but doing stupid plays, or making dumb decisions in the last few mins/secs that cost their team the game; shit happens; the greats rebound and get better and continue to win; we shall see what GS does; I will say this, if GS gets KD, them losing in the finals will probably be the reason they got him....

I get it
We are treated to classic basketball no matter what the outcome would have been.
Truth be told though, I'm not sure how Durant would mesh with GS.
Durant might not know what to do touching the ball every play with wide open threes because of ball movement.
One thing for sure. You wouldn't need Barnes if you had KD
