I don't hate Love. I think he's just a bad player for this particular team.
And it's an effort thing too. Watch all those Verajao offensive rebounds. Love isn't even TRYING. He's standing there watching. They brought him in there to rebound and score and he's doing neither.
The jumper is broken. It's been broken since he left Miami and it's getting worse.
Steve Kerr (in the half-time speech in game 6) told his players "if we shoot 3s on every possession, we'll win". You have to slow the pace and run them off the 3 point line..easier said than done, but that's it. Because the more possessions they get, the less likely you are to win because they shoot and make so many 3s. They just volume shoot you to death from 3.
its not about giving the cavs a chance to do anything.
it's about taking it 1 game at a time. ive been like that the entire season and the playoffs too so this is nothing new from me.
I can accept that. just say when they have a bad night that they can overcome those things with shooting.
cause it kinda reads like its all they got when its not. they are excellent defensively. they are great at assisting on passes either for jumpers or layups and when they hustle they can be dangerous.
and that's not all good. imo. its the most frustrating aspect. go out there and play hard. anything can happen. if they had taken game 3 seriously in houston, curry doesn't play game 4 and bust his knee caps on the cac slime.

I'll let Gene answer that but this is what the timberwolves got. It was a 3 team trade but the Cavs were the ones that had what everyone wanted. Again, even if they didnt get Young, they would have still had the 20M in cap space. So they could have gotten multiple players.
