After Civil War, ALL Marvel Fans Should Boycott X-Men Apocalypse

Doesn't matter if it is one of the greatest "superhero" films ever, all Marvel fans that support the Studio should boycott Fox's X-men Apocalypse.

If you ask why, well then you are not a Marvel fan and I'm not talking to you cause your ass has had 16 years to figure it out and if you can't figure it out still what it is that I'm griping about, then please do America a favor and continue remaining ignorant to things around you and go vote for Trump or Hillary. I got no more time to waste on people who cant put the pieces together,

Instead this is a message for all the Marvelites. All the true supporters of Marvel. Those who can distinguish what is really Marvel and what is not. Friends, Countrymen & women, Marvelites and Marvelettes, lend me your ears.

The time is upon us to once again show the industry who really controls the market. Is it fat cats in suits who don't know shit about the comics or is it the actual writers & creators of those comics and faithful fans that have been into Marvel since before birth because their fathers infused their genes with the ink of a thousand comics now flowing through their blood?

DO NOT GO SEE X-MEN APOCALYPSE OPENING WEEKEND. IN FACT DON'T GO SEE IT AT ALL. IF YOU LOVE HUGH JACKMAN LIKE THE REST OF US ALONG WITH FASSBENDER, LAWRENCE AND THE REST OF THE FIRST CLASS NEWCOMERS WHO I WILL ADMIT HELPED BREATHE NEW LIFE INTO THE FRANCHISE, WELL THEN WAIT FOR THE DVD OR DIGITAL RELEASE AND BUY IT THEN.

If X-Men Apocalypse has a big opening weekend (like Deadpool) then the rights will stay with Fox for another 10 years. Meaning they will make another movie and continue rebooting the same stories because they don't know the comic like Marvel (you know the creators of X-Men). There is already talk of doing another Dark Phoenix saga. DO YOU WANT FOX TO REBOOT THAT SHIT OR DO YOU WANT MARVEL TO SHOW YOU HOW IT'S DONE.

Look we all want the same thing, but it is a fact that society has become a slug riding it's own slime at the pace so slow that we die before getting to our destination. OPEN YOUR EYES. You have a say in the entertainment you spend your money on. Stop thinking you are obligated to see these films. Stop thinking that you, the fan, the person that fundamentally pays for the film, is obligated to allow something to go into development. Think of yourself as a share owner not as an audience member because if you ask any Hollywood type they will tell you the golden rule is that the audience is always stupid.

Maybe in the past audiences were stupid, but not anymore. Some audiences actually know more and know what's best for these characters. And what's best is that the rights go back to Marvel and they retain creative control while all the studios involved split the profits.

Dude has a point

I agree.

This movement needs to be on twitter and every social media platform, facebook, youtube etc for this to be effective.

Posting on facebook and twitter now.

I suggest you read the article cause the writer never said boycott Deadpool
the context is specific to Apocalypse

No it isnt specific to Apocalypse.

He specifically states that his end game is for Fox to give X-Men rights back to Marvel. Those rights include Deadpool. In other words if you agree with his sentiment, you cant pay for Deadpool and not pay for X-Men, cause the money is going in the same pot anyways.

Fox could give the rights to FF back and not lose anything else.

They cant give back the rights to X-Men without also including Deadpool.

you obviously know nothing about contracts.

does Sony still own the rights to Spider-man?

i'll wait.

If my 1st question was too hard for you to answer you arent bright enough to continue this convo with me. Also, dont pretend to know details of the Sony/Marvel Spidey contract. Its reported all over the place that they are still working things out.

Fox doesn't have FF rights only distribution- so they can't bargain with it

"And what's best is that the rights go back to Marvel and they retain creative control while all the studios involved split the profits."

Deadpool was more profitable than the last 3 XMen movies combined - its enough of a cushion this year if Apocalypse flops, so I doubt Marvels gets the call -IMO its more likely that Fox would give the Deadpool team the XMen franchise, they have already opened the doors for the team to do XForce... if the next round fails then Marvel gets a shot

Just for the fun of it lets say Marvel does get the rights back - its highly unlikely they get rid of the Deadpool team - these guys have been already talking with Disney about away to get Deadpool and Spidey together on film...

So yeah if fans boycott, I agree- Apocalypse is looking like GARBAGE visually and with sfx / vfx - shit the new Power Rangers costumes look better - is this really a +$200 million movie? Worst case scenario if Deadpool goes down too- so be it

I disagree because I want to see the new direction they are taking with Deadpool, X-force and New Mutants.

Just hypothetically, if they got the rights back and kept the Deadpool team, would Disney really make the Deadpool we want to see? I may be wrong but I dont see it from them.

The X-Men movies are flawed in certain ways, at this point it is what it is, but they do provide a diversity that I believe I would miss if they were ALL Disney type movies.

Just to be clear though, in no way am I saying that MCU isnt a godsend for CBM fans. Its so far beyond the competition that it can hardly be compared. IF X-Men was ever joined the MCU their movie would be GOAT.

your questions arent hard to answer.

your ignorance is hard to break through.

you said theres no way to get Xmen use back without getting Deadpool rights back.

that's not just inaccurate, thats a bald face lie.

i work through contracts all the time. i've posted my contract with Warner Brothers here a few times.

i'm dealing with DC for use of a character they claim ownership of as we speak.

Marvel can get Xmen use without it having anything to do with Deadpool.

and as for pretending what in the Spiderman Sony/Disney deal...you know google is your friend, right?

NO BODY in hollywood is going to mess with a franchise whose first effort was a $58million movie that will bring in +$1 billion in lifetime profit
its the only reason Mel Gibson got half a pass when he first started popping off about greedy jews and kikes

Disney won't get in the way of that... In the past they used Touchstone for mature content, back in the day Marvel had Epic for mature stories, - so if R rated comic book franchises are consistently profitable... I could see them marketing those stories under an imprint

That article is from a year ago.

Just in April, it was announced that Sony and Disney were still working out the kinks in their deals. That was in part why Spidey wasnt shown until the last trailer. That was also why Tom Holland couldnt promote the film as much as all of his co-stars. Thats why I said "details".

Again, if people want Fox to give up X-men, they are gonna have to boycott Deadpool too.

That article is from a year ago.

your point being? is any of it inaccurate?

That was in part why Spidey wasnt shown until the last trailer.

Directors the Russo brothers chatted with us about the changed trailer scenes. Joe Russo said that decision was made to simply “leave some surprises for the audience.” His co-director/brother, Anthony Russo, credits Disney with the idea to present the movie different ways at different stages.

are you a liar or just horribly uninformed?

Again, if people want Fox to give up X-men, they are gonna have to boycott Deadpool too.

post a direct quote from someone who can authoritatively substantiate this statement.

i'll wait.

Yawn.

Well, besides wanting to keep some surprises for fans in the movie, Anthony & Joe Russo recently explained at a Q&A that a big part of the reason we haven’t seen Spidey yet is because of all the deals that needed to be made, and apparently still need to be made, between Disney/Marvel and Sony to share the character. Find out more below!

Part of the reasons of what was so secretive was that the deals were always lagging slightly behind how we were using the character. We were always in danger of upsetting the deal—there were still sensitive issues going on between the two studios that they needed to agree on. When we were casting Tom Holland, when we were screen-testing him for the movie there was a whole very involved kind of process that was under the radar and secretive, because of the fact that it was still a sensitive business issue.

… The reason why I preface that is we’re still kind of in “deal zone”. The reason why we still won’t talk about [the costume] is that Marvel and Sony still have to work out what uses they have for the character, on a promotional level, on a commercial level. There’s still complications as far as that goes that involves business deals.

I guess now we know who is horribly misinformed.

Now did you boycott Deadpool or didnt you?

yes, you are amazingly uninformed.

i challenged you to prove your statement that Fox cant let another studio use Xmen without them havuing rights to Deadpool as well.

you CANNOT do that.

what you did is amend your previous lie/inaccurate answer to my question: DOES SONY OWN SPIDERMAN?

and if they DO, did they automatically lose the rights to all the other Spiderman characters they own?

i'll wait.
