Apple is on it's death bed

just because Apple didnt sell as many iPhones this quarter as they did a year ago, doesn't mean shit.
They still raked in billions of dollars. I dont see that as a loss at all. As long as they are making a substantial
profit (which they are).....they are still winning.

In 2 years this world is going to look very different

You will remember I called it

It's gonna be a bit more than 2 years.

The real issue is not them changing their M&A DNA. Apple has 233,000,000,000 in cash on hand. They can buy entire markets man. They can be a fast follower and buy their way into any of those markets you listed, but is Cook gonna be retarded w/ the cash?

They could literally acquire Tesla and it would be a rounding error and their business generates enough PROFITS to replenish the purchase price from cashflow over just a few quarters. The business is bananas and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

The problem is the one everyone said they would face after Jobs died.. what's NEXT?

I don't think Cook + Ivy can pull it off inhouse. They better buy their way in like Microsoft and Facebook has been doing.

Good info.. This i dont agree with tho. And aren't they heavily invested with uber and the driverless movement?

Tesla is ahead in the driverless game.

However the technology behind it is already becoming a commodity i.e. easier to create with deep learning

So you have several people in the game right now.

Uber is facing some uphill battles as well with regulators.

There is a new competitor on the horizon called Juno and they are gaining traction with a driver cooperative model that is better for drivers in the long run

So the game is still wide open as far as uber goes

man you tell your wife this shit and she will kick you out

"babe i'm not making as much as i did last year and salary is declining but i'm still making money"

Yeah you tripping.
Google holds the crown and will for a long time to come.

Facebook ads are good but it doesn't convert in all markets.

I think what @kayanation is saying that Google could become the new Microsoft (well they are trying to avoid that with the restructuring as Alphabet). Their business is highly profitable and will be for quite a while. (like Microsoft) but the future is mobile and mobile eats into search. Despite all the businesses they are in, it's all fed by adsense and adwords.. like 99% of their profits come from those two businesses.

So it's the same question as apple.. what's NEXT? can they turn any of those moonshots from Google X into a new major business.. but their ad business is a cash register that's going to spit out stupid profits for a long ass time.

It's right there in the post lol

Bookmark this shit and we will check back in 1 year. In the meantime keep your eyes open

advertising = facebook

IoT = still wide open

AR/VR = wide open but facebook and microsoft are the leaders

Cloud = Amazon then Microsoft

Deep Learning = facebook

apple is dying
google is dying
twitter is dying

Don't believe me just watch

I don't see how google is dying. They have a fairly big market and usage unless they are planning to merge with AWS  Who's your plug, Kaya? You must have some inside connects.

I agree with you on everything is moving towards mobile and that 99.9 percent of their business is AdWords/Adsense but you fail to realize that people use Google for mobile also.

Google has a large mobile ad platform as well.
Shit I don't even remember seeing FB ads on my mobile device...I could be wrong though

Nigga I had to take her MacBook to Apple for them to repair it cuz it wouldn't boot all the way up. Had a fucked up harddrive. Luckily it was still covered under the Apple warranty. If not....it would have been $1,100.
To replace a fuckin ssd harddrive.
They are ripping people the fuck off.

e

I'm not convinced Juno is going to get any significant traffic that's even going to make Uber care. We'll see how they do in NYC though.... it's an interesting play though and they have the means to challenge in a way that Lyft cant

Twitter is gonna be the new Yahoo and I've always believed that Jack was a fraud just like Marissa is a fraud at Yahoo. Jack stays hiring people for c-level positions and for board seats who don't even fucking use twitter.. :smh:
Don't think Twitter will do the AOL or Yahoo but I just don't see how they can monetize their platform.

Nobody is going to click no fucking ads on Twitter... What they could do is charge a monthly fee for verified accounts.

Eh...

Anyways

They need to drop the price on them Macs.
yeah the prices on their macs/MacBooks have always been staggering to me.

It's gonna be interesting times as we head into the future. As been said in this thread, Steve Jobs isn't around to right the ship this time. Sometimes I wonder if (after finding out his death was imminent)he had "big picture" type discussion with his closest and most trusted executives about what he envisioned the tech future to be, and where they needed to focus their energy and resources on. If he did, I'm not so sure they listened. Some of the fuckry they've been carrying on with lately, leaves you shaking your head.

What I'm telling you that, factually, a majority of their profits are driven by SEARCH and people don't search on mobile like they do on desktop. I'm telling you this a matter of fact. Look at their earnings reports.. they clearly state how their search business is suffering because of mobile. And FB is eating their launch on mobile. This is also a matter of fact. The data is publicly available.

Google is a great business and they'll be here 100 years from now.

However, they missed on social and then mobile and it's coming back to haunt them now.

as an outsider. i think glass fucked them.

they thought they had a game changing revolutionary hit out the gate that everyone and their mom would want
and instead when is the last or the first time you saw someone walking around with google glass on?

They make money, but they can't grow.

A 300 million user business is actually small in the grand scheme of things when you're talking about an advertising platform.

Advertising don't like using multiple platforms (especially with overlapping demographics). FB and Google both have 1B plus .... so there is no need for twitter when you can reach their users on somewhere else.

Snapchat is going to be more valuable than twitter as an ad platform because as least they have the youth on lock.. and many of those users arent on FB or using Google products with regularity.

Their are millions of people that you simply can't reach if you don't reach them through Snapchat (through video) and that's going to continue to grow

yeah man

they are royally fucked

People don't search on mobile?

They do but not thru google fam. There are too many different apps that do too many different things.
If you're at your computer you go to google search restaurants, misc, etc etc etc. just go to it.
when you're on your phone you go to the specific aps for what you're looking for instead of google.
so there's really no use for it for the average user. and kaya is saying that you probably won't go to google to google something of need
but you will check your facebook page on your phone to see what's up.

I think it's exaggerated language but his point is true..in tech is always about the future and they're not dominating anything that's "up next". I think Kaya is really saying is they own a monopoly in a business that's no longer a hyper GROWTH business and they aren't dominant in what's next. So he's saying there is some weakness there, but google can buy their way in.. unlike Yahoo or Twitter.. they dont have the valuable stock nor cash to buy their way into a new market. They have to innovate out of their holes and that's what they've been unable to do for years now.. so they look fucked (twitter and yahoo).

Google needs a new growth engine for real..

Facebook is just a fucking monster.... a fucking monster

@kayanation if Facebook would have actually pulled off that snapchat acquisition + still acquired Whatsapp, the game would have been over for at least the next decade...

big market for what?

ads?

their share is decreasing and going to fb

fb is crushing the mobile ad game

VR is THAT next i/o frontier and fb is playing the game right so far

only MS could fuck that up right now

I'm not even hip to those. I was more considering their services and functions.

The Chrome Books are too late. I don't find it useful. My 7 year old would tho.

people are now getting news from fb as their primary source

do a poll and see where you got news about prince

so i was in the matrix last year and the attitude of the technical staff is like their shit don't stink

the executives are held hijacked to the tech staff

so you have mofos with such narrow domain knowledge that they can't get their head out of their ass to see wtf is going on in the market

they are about to drop a bil in cloud but they don't even know how to penetrate the enterprise and startups love aws

they are going to throw money at anything and hope it sticks

pure fuckery from years of nepotism

mofos were hiring friends and family

well the party is over

That's my point though. Cause glass is what they thought would usher us into the future
and instead Oculus took all of that similar shine and is the revolution which is owned by facebook lol.

People don't search on mobile?

Not even nearly as much as desktop. It's a pretty significant drop... like transformational drop. It's just not the way people use mobile devices.

I'm not saying they don't use it at all.. but check out some charts and it will really blow your mind

yea i was gonna say the only other thing a casual kinda in the know person like myself has seen is the microsoft demo that's close to fucking with oculus.

Yep.

Look at how they fucked up the Twitch acquisition.

Google could have purchased Twitch for 30M, but the twitch team couldn't pass the "technical interviews". Amazon got them for 1B and now own livestreaming.. :smh:

Enjoying the hell out of my s7 edge. Shits beautiful yall. Came from the note 3. Fuck a boring iTelephone.

cause then they won't get the credit.
