an interesting work around but the problem isn't that they both had mothers with the same name but that that exchange could have been done and common sense wise would have been done earlier. "Luthor has my mother!!" would have been the FIRST thing superman would have said to batman upon seeing him. In your set up if bruce knows who superman is then he already knows who his mother is.Just brainstorming here.....
What if Bruce noticed Clark watching him at Lex's party, and being the detective he is senses that Clark can tell that he is being fed directions in his ear. Bruce knows that he is not sloppy, so this reporter must be exceptional in order to catch it. Continuing on in the film, Batman continues his investigation of the Superman and they finally encounter each other. After tearing the doors from the Batmobile, Clark says,
"The Batman is dead. Bury it....Bruce" *after using xray vision*
-Then Bats says,
"Tell me do you bleed?"
-Superman flys off, Batman then says
"You will.......Clark"
-Just then a glow grows from clouds and he from the sky he draws the "where" on the ground in heat vision. Then Bats says,
"Watch for my light."
-I think this set up makes the Martha reveal more poignant. Bruce can then say something like,
"Why did you say that? Saying my mother's name won't save you!"
-Then Lois can come and say,
"No, it his mother's name."
That's easily better than what we actually got.Just brainstorming here.....

Actually, just one villain CAN fill out 2.5 hours of a feature length movie... but it just has to be THE RIGHT villain. Its like they don't think one villain can fill out a feature length run time![]()
Yeah they rarely support anything other than their own.Fuck the Chinese
as they shouldYeah they rarely support anything other than their own.
wow...judging by fridays numbers...this shit gonna have a 70% plus drop from last weekend...
81 million last fri only 15 a week later...
this is not good...at this rate this shit might b out of theaters by next week...lol
I didn't have a problem with any of the cast theyre all fine actors its just the direction and interpretation they did..Actually, just one villain CAN fill out 2.5 hours of a feature length movie... but it just has to be THE RIGHT villain.
With some acting GRAVITAS.
Obviously... Jesse Eisenberg is just NOT the right villain.
However, if they cast ANY one of these actors....
Cats want it to fail badly man. They gonna dance a jig when it dont break a billie.Wait, whut...
- Man of Steel made $668 million worldwide, in 14 weeks
- Batman vs Superman has made $587 million worldwide, in just 8 days
No contest.
Cats want it to fail badly man. They gonna dance a jig when it dont break a billie.
I think they should put JL on the back burner. A solo Batman will be more successful. Hope this doesn't scare audiences away from SS. Sure that will be the better overall movie.
If nothing this flick actually proved that batman really doesn't belong in justice league...that he can't hang with super powered beings (no matter how prepared).
Bruce was essentially in ironman type armor and STILL had nothing to bring to the table. Even with kryptonite he barely hurt superman even if he did kill him how would he fight wonder woman if he had to?
At best his presence in the league is as the only fully HUMAN representative but look at that final battle scene....Superman went AT doomsday..Wonderwoman went AT doomsday with a SMILE on her face.. the BEST batman could do was be a distraction and bait.
This SHOULD be addressed in the Justice League movie...if not its a HUGE omission.
I think it is because of questions like this.... that is is important for WB to stop what they are doing on Justice League. People are going to go into that movie with the exact same issues and they aren't going to want to see it. WB really fucked up on this. I don't think I have ever seen a hit movie be the cause for the ruination of a franchise.
It's probably in their best interest to do solo films and JL last. Batman-WW-Flash-Aquaman-Justice League. Have Affleck cameo in each film if he's down to do so or get WW to help recruit by cameo's. They can rebuild that way and still make bank provided they have a good script and director with a vision. May take until 2022 before we get a JL movie but it is what it is if they wan't to save their established cinematic universe.Something is about to get pushed to the backburner and I agree. I think it has to be Justice League. I still think Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman will be fine, but I just don't see the average fan wanting to shell out money on Justice League... knowing that the same people that made Batman v. Superman will also be behind that movie. I think we are going to hear some changes coming soon on this.. ... WB can't spin this story. It's the biggest drop for a superhero movie in History.

The BEST thing to happen to WB/DC is for this movie to have a huge drop off average dvd sales disappointing China numbers and continued fan & critical disappointment. Not because I hate DC but because there needs to be a standard set.
YOU Do Not want these studios to think they can just drop anything on the screen and they will make a ton of money off the name legacy and fans regardless of the quality
We ain't gonna Michael Bay crisis on infinite earth's or secret wars.
That will the quickest death of the entire genre.
Deadpool succeeded yes, but we don't want a ton of crappie r rated super hero movies just because it worked once.
We need to keep the bar high. For dc and marvel and any one else inclined to join the fray.
So this ain't no hate it's about making sure the genre survives and thrives.
DC wants to be "dark" fine. Marvel wants to be bright fine. But we NEED good.
And so far DC straining so hard to form it's own identity (which just seems like being the opposite of marvel) instead of staying true to the best mythology in modern literature ain't working.
Because no one I mean no one saw winter solider coming. Or Guardians. Hell avengers 2 was mediocre but entertaining as hell just off the lift the hammer scene.
Ya'll realize they could have done a whole movie like that and people would have been happy.
People KNEW ryan reynolds would HONOR deadpool. He said it for years and proved. I Gurantee del Toro and Snipes would make a wicked blade moviedo right now. I think the last wolverine will be the best one. Honestly I think if Affleck had the reins of solo batman flick it would be better then Nolan.
DC ain't built up that type of credibility yet on film. On TV? Hell yeah.....and honestly decoding to seperate the two is a bad idea.
Imagine the Arrow trapped in blackgate prison, with the next version of the suicide squad trying to survive and needed to work with them to escape and Lex and the Joker in the same prison? Diggle trying to get locked up too. Alfred visiting Oliver because he knew the Queen family. Hell but AGRUS, HIVE & the League of Assassins in there too.
Cause trust Marvel will have all that in Civil War.
Watched a few videos while at work I'm going to post when I get home. One video is about is DC will cast Alexander Luthor's father after the backlash of Eisenberg portrayal. They went on to say that Eisenberg auditioned for Jimmy Olson and the Riddler. They offered him the role of Luthor and he said he was going to portray him as the way he was going to protray Riddler and Olson.
It was good. Slow, but the second half was really enjoyable. Jesse Eisenberg was TERRIBLE though....just fuckin terrible.
I didn't have a problem with any of the cast theyre all fine actors its just the direction and interpretation they did..
jesse eisenberg was doing something that wasn't working...he himself cast as luthor isn't a problem for me.

They missed ONE opportunity in that scene to show it...like doomsday shoots a blast of energy at them and Batman flies into wonderwoman who catches him and says "your in my way!" places him to the side and goes straight at DD without hesitation...
This SHOULD be addressed in the Justice League movie...if not its a HUGE omission.
I kinda think Batman is more of a Support role (when he's in a group)... but straight DPS when he is solo.Interesting viewpoint.
Batman is pure DPS, without a tank (Superman or Wonder Woman) to pull aggro, he is screwed.

This has been my entire point this entire thread... My hatred directed toward this movie is because it should have been better then this. They rushed a product and they should not be rewarded for it. They have to learn... that why I couldn't believe people were defending it. Shit has to change. I've been waiting my entire life to see these Gods Among us on the Big screen and I'll be damned if they are going to fuck it up.
