Tom Clancy's The Division 2 March 15th, 2019 PC, XBOX ONE, PS4

Yeah I don't get that whole system. Like I can switch to a better gun or better gear and it'll drop your damage points (DPS) or your health points.

But I be like fuck it - as long as my gun is fuckin' them bitches up at a decent range, I'll put whatever on.

(These aren't my stats)

That's the RPG aspect at play. Keeps you from becoming overpowered and forces you to pick a style of play.

My stats are similar except my health is OVER 9,000. The swapping gear is where you rpg element comes into play depending on your preferred style of play.

See, I don't usually play the RPGs. I can't even remember the last RPG I played, probably Pokemon or some shit when I was a youngin.

I like playing like "ok once I get this gun, I'm fucking everybody up" but now I'm understanding that you won't get that way by just adding the best equipment, you gotta balance your shit to a particular style.

This game is like an RPG in disguise.

My best gun is like 8400 DPS, my health is 7000, my skill power is 2200. I don't really use the toys and gadgets that much anyway (which I probably should running solo) so I figured I'd focus on on my guns and health.

anybody else not get their agent origins outfits??? entered the code...went to the rewards claim vendor and that shit is empty

Are you on Xbox? or PS4? :dunno:

Seems this has been happening to a lot of Xbox players (more so than PS4 players).
Because there have been tons of posts on both Reddit & the official Ubisoft Forum about it.

Apparently, Ubisoft is currently aware of this issue and has said: “it’s a server side issue. We are working on it.”

Here’s a few links that may shed some light on it, but personally I haven't read thru all of them…. :smh:

In one of the responses in one of those threads, seems a Ubisoft Developer said that you can re-install the game (without losing any progress) and it should be there.

But here's anonther alternative, every Tuesday morning (at 4am EST) is when Ubisoft shuts the down the game for 3 hours to perform their ‘weekly maintenance’ on the servers.

If you don’t want to take a chance on re-installing the game… maybe they will drop a small patch tonight to fix this issue. :dunno:

Personally, I’d wait until tomorrow to see if it shows up… and if not… THEN i’d try to re-install the game & see if that works instead. :dunno:

Hope this helps.

Didn't have to re-install the game. The codes are a separate download, mine didn't show up at first then I went to manage game and to the left of the game it said ready to install and there were the items. After downloading and installing I then restarted the game and viola... Had all my shit.

Bruh, I think your missing gear will show up tomorrow.

Ubisoft is dropping a patch tonight during the weekly '3-hour server maintenance' window.

I just read the Patch notes. (see below)

The bullet point in RED just might fix your issue, if your gear doesn't show up in the 'Rewards Vendor' Menu. :dunno:

The Division overtakes Call of Duty as Xbox’s most popular game

Holy heck.

The Division has a lot of accolades, records and milestones under its belt already, but this is one we didn’t expect to see: Ubisoft’s RPG has overtaken Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as the most popular game on Xbox One.

That’s according to Xbox Live‘s public-facing charts, anyway. You can see a screenshot below.

Just… wow. The latest Call of Duty release doesn’t top the Xbox Live charts all year every year, but, well – it comes pretty damn close to it.

The Division broke an 11 year sales record in the UK and is officially the biggest new game IP ever. It sold more copies in its first 24 hours than any other game in Ubisoft’s history.

It’s got a lot of momentum, but can it maintain it? A pretty solid year one plan seems like a good start, anyway.

Does the game have sniper rifles or just marksman rifles? I could have sworn an advanced scope during the beta. Also the weapons they sell and the ones you craft aren't shit. I usually just use the guns I find after a mission and apply mods or use the gear to add more DPM.

The Division Memorializes Elite Boss Bullet King After Patch

The Division twitter page posts a short memorial and regal picture of notorious loot cave boss, Bullet King, signifying the end of the popular glitch with update 1.02 going live.
Many gamers have enjoyed comparing The Division to Destiny prior to release thanks to a gameplay loop that revolves around creating and improving a character through loot based drops, and the fact that both games are a combination of being a hybrid shooter and RPG. Many folks however probably didn’t expect to see that both games to be linked by a subtle but popular gameplay glitch known as a loot cave however.

While The Division was under going server maintenance earlier this morning, the official Division Twitter account posted a short blurb and a very regal portrait of the infamous Bullet King elite boss character complete with crown, sword, and kingly pose. The picture is intended to be somewhat tongue in cheek due to the fact that prior to update 1.02, players were utilizing an unintended glitch which essentially turned Bullet King into a walking, talking loot cave.

Since Bullet King and his Rikers crew were relatively close to the Autumn’s Hope safehouse in Times Square, level 30 players would fast travel there, kill him to grab the drop, and then let themselves be killed to repeat this process over and over. Players were not only getting superior drops, but it was also an easy way to farm the rare currency, Phoenix Credits. As of the most recent update, elite mobs will no longer respawn after having been killed in the game world, letting Bullet King finally rest in peace.

While many players enjoyed using this little technique for easy access to better gear and drops, not everyone was thrilled with it being there in the first place. Social media and websites such as Reddit were popular avenues for Division players to vent their frustrations over the glitch, while one fan asked Ubisoft directly to fix the problem.

This situation is very similar to the issues brought up in Destiny once the first loot cave was discovered. Bungie eventually patched it out, claiming to have known about it prior to launch but assumed players would realize that it wasn’t an efficient way to earn engrams. In actuality, many players found that shooting low level enemies constantly spawning from a cave yielded a good amount of gear, especially from a game that some view as being somewhat stingy with its good loot.

Were you able to utilize this loot cave before it was patched out of existence? Would you have rather Ubisoft left the glitch alone, or do you believe patching this issue was in the game’s best interest in the long run? Let us know your experiences with it below in the comments.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The marksmen rifles and sniper rifles are the same thing in this game.

It's a high-powered rifle that can be used to snipe targets from a long distance away.

I'm level 27, and so far I haven't seen any loot drops that are specifically called 'sniper rifle'. :smh: Only various types of 'marksmen rifles'.

On the PS4, whenever I use a marksmen rifle I hold L2 to aim then push-in the the right stick (R3) to zoom-in with the sniper scope before firing.

Ok I haven't tried using R3 since getting the full game. I know I zoomed in some way during the beta.

New The Division raid details surface

If you have been following The Division news for a while you may have heard about the raid like activities coming to the game called Incursions. If not, then The Division plans to have raid-like activities that will be insanely hard and made for players that have really hit the “end-game”. The first of these has been on the map since launch and says next to the mission that it will be coming in a free update soon. The name of the mission was changed from “Falcon Lost” to “Last Stronghold” secretly with the latest patch. The patch also changed the mission type from “Incursion” to “Operation”. These changes might be a hint from Ubisoft that these operations are coming sooner than we think. Below are images of the map, courtesy of Games Ring

The mission is based around the Last Man Battalion and tasks you to find a missing Joint Task Force patrol in order to stop the LMB from massing inside the underground facility. With the name now being Last Stronghold, this could be a way to put a close to their story. The mission recommends you have a gear grade of 150 but we don't know how Ubisoft will be ranking gear. It's safe to say if you want to dive in the moment it releases you are definitely going to need some good gear. The reward for the mission currently says "set item" and has a purple gear icon, but this could possibly be a placeholder. The story for the mission sounds interesting and leaves us with a bit of a mystery until we get our hands on it.

I decided I should probably go over and check out the location in the game, and I didn't find anything too interesting. When you first get to the location you can see a giant closed gate with a lot of abandoned JTF vehicles both inside and out. You can't go past the gate but right in front of it is a hidden ladder leading down to the sewers. You can climb down the ladder and at the bottom there is a small room with a closed grey door, which I'm assuming is the entrance to the operation. The location doesn't seem to reveal any more details but the map size for the mission is rather small compared to other actual story missions, but again it could just be a placeholder there to tease us. Below are some screenshots from the area.

Personally, I'm not sure what to think as I don't want to speculate any harder than I already am, but I am excited for new content. Ubisoft has definitely been quick about taking care of problems in the game, which I think is awesome, but you have to wonder how quick they will be about putting out content. Keep in mind it has been just over two weeks since the game launched so don't freak out if you are still hunting some great gear. Of course, we will just have to wait and see what Ubisoft does.

I think they're all called Marksman rifles, but the ones that have like 55 RPM are the regular sniper rifles and usually do the most damage. The ones that are 300 RPM and do less damage are the marksman rifles like the ones in GTA. I think you also have to put the right scope on them, too.
