I actually my daughter (2nd grader) count pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters to a dollar. That helped some, but I think her foundation was counting by 2, 5, 10, and 20s.

Most grocery stores have them (not hood joints tho). In the soft drink section they will with the higher priced six packs.. They will sometimes be in packs of four. 'Natural Brew' or 'Virgils' are bangin'.
