2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

They miss Harden

They will never recover from that

And frankly don't deserve to

The front office deserves what has happened to the team since

Ibaka is a fucking waste

.

Somebody should slap the taste out of Scott Brooks mouth for allowing Ibaka to become this type of player

He came to America relatively green and instead of developing him into a post player this nigga is a stretch 4 who doesn't rebound like he should and can't score in the list and a weak side shot blocker. That's not what he should be.

Man I ain't gonna put it all on Brooks, because dude did that shit when they went to the finals....the problem is they wanted him to be that 3rd scorer(after the front office did what they did), by stretching the floor for Russ and KD which I fucking hate.

I seen defense as the problem with OKC last night. They let GS drop 73 in the first half. 2nd half was a combination of OKC playing better defense and GS having a few players off. The bench was the difference because I don't know what the fuck that horrendous shit OKC put in the game last night as a second unit.

OKC is a good match as long as KD and Westbrook is scoring well and the team plays defense better.

But it's whatever. I can't believe there is no team in the league that can handle these ninjas. As a basketball fan it's great to see the game being played the way it should be. As a fan of competition, it's annoying as fuck to continuously watch these kats steam roll over ninjas. No team in the league seems to be upset about this or have took this as a personal challenge. I see these teams shook up when they have to play GS. Pussified players and teams in the league.

Cavs

These fuckers must go into halftime, and take a few shots of silver patron...
Now people are seeing the difference between David Blatt and Lue. Blatt has a lot of experience and it showed. Blatt knew how to play to his teams strength.

Shump, Mozgov, Delly, TT and Lebron played smothering defense. Blatt offense would have been the same as GSW but Lebron did not like playing without the ball or moving to the 4 at times. So now you have no ball movement and straight Iso.

Management also fucked up by not using their money more wisely. Why would you max two players that play the same position? Lebron never wanted Mozgov and always wanted a line up of TT and Love but a front court of TT and love equals layup drill. Mozgov is what anchored the Cavs smothering defense by protecting the rim.

The Cavs are just a broken team

Dude stop it where OKC will lose each and every time is against GS bench.. OKC bench is beyond ass

Golden State bench are a bunch of journeyman. Besides AI who would want any of GSW bench players? They are well coached and buy into the system which allows them to play at a high level

Curry and Clay both had off nights including Draymond and OKC still could not take advantage of it despite Westbrook dropping 27 and Durant 40.

They still damn near lost by double digits. It had nothing to do with lack of hustle and help defense. GSW because of crisp ball movement had cleaner looks at the basket and higher percentage shots.
Gsw got a lot of second opportunities off there missed shots due to hustle plays and put backs, they played good team basketbal, that's why they can still win on off nights. Okc lacked that.thats my point

I hate to say it but you are exactly right. Everyone wants to paint Blatt as the fall guy, which is cool, every situation needs one I guess. However regardless of the deep analysis, the Cavs went to the finals and took GS to 6 games with Blatt in the big chair, and were in first place in the conference with him this season. If Lue doesn't win the Chip, he has done no better than Blatt and I swear to God I don't want to hear no pleas copped if he doesn't. I hope he does well, but unfortunately don't see it with this team as it is constructed.

They ain't scared of GS team they shook and scared to face Curry that's the issue

If he's on the rest of the team gonna steam roll you cause now u worried bout this nigga.. If he's off you still scared cause you know he can get hot at any time and the rest of the team going to steam roll you..

Play him tight he going to pick and roll you to death, play off him them 3s be droppin.. That's the annoying shit you can't game plan for the mofo..

People forget last season how terrible the Cavs were before the Allstars break? Lebron flat out hated that Blatt went to management to secure Mozgov as Lebron thought he would do nothing but clog up the lane. Mozgov arrives and all of a sudden the Cavs defense becomes elite because of his rim protection.

The Cavs are now looking like the pre all star Cavs of last season where they gave up easy points and inefficient offense that relies on tough contested shots to fall. Blatts Cavs of last year reminded me of the Pistons (Billups and Wallace version). They had you struggling to shoot over 30%. I agree that I don't want to see any plea copping this season.

Warriors make folks want to start trading players and dismantling squads..
Running coaches out of the league and shit..:roflmao:

All great teams make other organizations do that. Heat done it, the 2008 celtics done it, the Lakers done it. I think that's part of trying to figure how to get a team good enough to take out the best.

That Billups and Piston squad is low key my favorite championship team ever.

That's what kinda got me when Lue took over as coach. He said he wanted to get them in shape and running more. That's not really how this team is built. Their more of a grind team.... Score between 90-100 points. ....anything more I think they gonna run out of gas or get injured. That's why they go back to iso. They ran for a few then slowed that shit back down.

Man ,......AI, Livingston, Barbosa,Speights..... Them dudes be balling and been through a lot,...they got heart and trust they shot

Quite a few teams would want Livingston, Ezeli and possibly Speights...

Right Ezeli could start for teams

There was tons of interest for Livingston when he last was a free agent

Speights is a decent big off the big he would find work

Nor would Jason Thompson or Brandon Rush

Guys who barely get clock

What they want to do will not be accomplished this season when it comes to style of play.

Bron is doing way too much. If he would just play as a 3 man, like Leonard do in SA then he was be better off, but he has to do everything which is the demise of his previous Cavs teams before the Heat. Bron never mastered one position. He is just good at all. And better than most people that comes to his team. That's what makes GS and SA good teams. All their pieces consist of players who play only one position, so you don't have to expect them to do more than they are asked.

Let's look at what happened.
Curry was ass tonight.
Klay was ass after that 2nd quarter.
They were down Ezili which was pivotal against the thunders bigs.
Nobody hit that many 3's or back breaking 3's
played horrible in the entire 2nd half.
Durant put up 40 on 50% from the field
Westbrook put up a strong 27 and 12 assists or something
Canter killed it tonight.
And the warriors won by 8.

Just let that sink in.

And you can't say well the small ball. No it's not the small ball it's another player being hurt and nobody saying anything about it. Ezili would have gotten all the minutes that Speights got tonight he would have handled the boards and handled the defense on canter and everything else.

Late in the game championship teams win.

I guess what you are saying is no one is beating GS in the playoffs; If all those things can go wrong for GS and they still win, kinda makes you wonder what can beat them; King T you agree??

Barnes will be a FA w/bird rights... if KD wants in Barnes is gone... if KD doesn't come then Barnes will get matched and stay....

KD would be stupid to sign with GS after this year; Hes signing a 1 year deal with OKC, and will become a free agent after the following year..

It is pretty simple and it surprises me that OKC don't get it. On a players best night he will shoot anywhere between 38 to 50%. When durant and Westbrook take all the shots it makes them easy to defend and statistically puts the other team in a favorable position because ball movement creates easy shots.

The best shooting you can hope for statistically with Isolation is about 50%. With ball movement you typically can get over 64% shooting. It may not seem like much but that 10 to 14% difference can be the difference between being down 4 or up 15

Who else is going to score on OKC consistently, really??

I wish people would stop blaming Russ and KD for being ball dominant, they have to be

They are a + with them, and they lose leads without them. Their bench players can't score when they aren't in the game.

Exactly...

They will never recover from that

And frankly don't deserve to

The front office deserves what has happened to the team since

One of the dumbest decisions a front office has ever made in the NBA; Not wanting to pay the tax, and not amnesty Perkins; shaking my head...

They didnt let GS drop 73 lol; GS is great and better offense will always beat better defense; you said that yourself; GS has had some luck on their side with how the NBA pay structure has changed; Plus Curry development has been crazy; And they have drafted well; Kinda all worked out; I dont think teams arent upset, I just think teams feel like dam what we gonna do...

Golden State bench are a bunch of journeyman. Besides AI who would want any of GSW bench players? They are well coached and buy into the system which allows them to play at a high level

Not sure if you are serious on this...

Yep best bench in the league by far; And that Looney kid who they drafted from UCLA can play; hes gonna to develop watch; Hell Ian can play too; team is loaded top to bottom

My dumb ass is kinda missing what Road Rage would have to say about all this... Even though he'd eventually go overboard and say something stupid, I miss that motherfuckers posts right now...

Man I'm not even gonna go at the front office or coaches...
At this point it's all about the players, for me...

To be honest, LBJ is the most selfish/unselfish player ive ever seen...

I was thinking the same thing... I remember someone a while ago saying, LeBron's style of play really limits his teammates ability to build chemistry and adapt to a system, and he actually creates the illusion that he needs to control the ball, and basically play all positions. In some ways, it's like he's a teams biggest weapon and its biggest issue. Can truly believe that every team he's played on has been so incomplete that he's had to play the way he does. While some of them were, there is I believe some truth to the perception that he also doesn't want to play differently and creates the 'need' for him to have to be so ball dominant.

It's not always about scoring either, some people have to lead their team in assist, etc. as well. :dunno:

Man Im telling you he has to be in control at all times and basically everything needs to run thru him...

I also expect at some point for Dude to get bombarded with being a hater, etc. BS posts as well :smh:

They will come and I will be ready...

A lot of this could have been solved he he would have learned to just play in the post and mastered it. People have been screaming at him to do this since forever. The Heat is the closest place he was to being a pure 3. Eventually Chalmers, Cole, Bosh, and sometimes Wade became spot up shooters all of a sudden. At this point he is what he is. He wants what SA and GS have as far as a team goes. Pulling random players and hoping they can spot up to bail him out is how he has been coached since he has been in the league.
