I really wish the Mavs would blow up this team
Because this is not a game that is critical and running a player into the ground for a meaningless game is stupid. Curry has been on the same rotation for almost two years. Plays all of the first and sits until 5 mins of the seconds. Does the same thing in the second half
Washington has had plenty of chances this game and keep blowing their opportunities.
You see the potential that team has though. Wall has become a really good PG.

If you take out that first quarter, the Wizards out scored GS 93-91. I bet you there are many games like that. Where GS annihilates you in the first and everything balances for the next three.
If a team can manage to take that smack in the 1st quarter and 3rd quarter they have a better chance.

Takes no shorts and no losses. That's the instinct you want out of your guys. Wall played really good last night too but Steph just took it up a level.

No no really because you have to take into account the minutes that they play... If it's a tight ball game they're not sitting half of the 2nd quarter with their 2nd unit in there. They're going to play more minutes. It just comes down to you can't let them get up double digits. It's going to be hell trying to come back.
And then there are just nights where the other team plays just as good so they need to play 48 minutes. It's the NBA still. these are nba players so on any given night it could happen.
That's what I saying, withstand the smack. And I see more often than none, the smack happens in the first quarter. Basketball is a game of runs blah blah rhetoric. It's just GS's runs have a tendency to be more devastating because they can get up in a hurry. Of course if it is a tight game, the main unit will play more minutes. But these early leads are killer. You said it yourself that the second unit does not give up leads and rarely allow teams to get back in it. But GS is not blowing teams out by 30 every night. Eventually balance happens for whatever reason during the game. The Wizards were very much in the game after the first quarter. Even had a chance to take the lead on a few missed chances and gave up significant offensive rebounding that could have cut it down near the end.
But my point is they're going to play until they smack you.
They didn't smack the spurs in the 1st quarter or the 2nd. so they played heavy minutes and then it got super ugly and that was all she wrote.
it evens out because of how much garbage time there is usually on a night to night basis lol
but make no mistake about it i didn't know he'd go for 51 but i knew he'd light it up because he had been just ok the past 3 games plus wall and them were talking shit
if you haven't learned by now if you talk shit to curry he's going to come to your city and show you.
