2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

They are exactly who we thought they are... Still the Spurs, a hit or miss team, I would not buy too much into regular season games with Pap as coach, he likes to play a lot of mind games... But one thing for certain this team will only go as far as their guards can carry them and with Parker and Manu being up their in age, its kind of iffy, to say the least..

That is one thing I never understood about Pop and the Spurs organization. As good as they are in finding and developing talent, he refused to find a player to replace Parker or Manu. With all the talent and free agents that were available over the last 5 years, he could have got some type of dynamic PG.

I seriously view their early exit last season as a harbinger of things to come... They are NOY the same Spurs and they do a great job hiding their aging pieces during the regular season but in the playoffs when rotations get smaller, they will be exposed for what they are, an aging good and formerly great team...

No mention of Phoenix Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek being fired? Surprising being he's one of the all world Guards/tougher competition MJ faced in 2 of his NBA Finals. He might suck as a coach but no doubt that CAC would average 40 a game in todays "weak league" :giggle:

Fucking Lebron the coach killer strikes again

The spurs issue is simple.

Tim Duncan is fucking amazing.

At 40 he leads the league in defensive plus minus and remains a top 3 rated overall defender.

With him gone, the entire system fails.

LA has slow feet on both sides of the court and struggles with smallball opponents. And it becomes very problematic with Duncan not there to cover his ass.

At this junction in his career, LA is a center. I feel he's playing out of position with her mobile the four's are in today's NBA. When Timmy retires, LA will slide in his spot and they'll have the Kyle Anderson kid running the four.

Cranrab, Jr...

96 Bulls had 6, count em SIX white boys on their roster. The 2016 Utah Jazz dont even got that many CACs. And coincidentally they are a bottom feeder in the west. Competition was so tough then. Guys like Bron and Curry wouldve been average players in your Airness' era.

I never really understood what it was the Suns were trying to do with that roster

Nor these playoff expectations that they had

This shit ain't on the coach but hey somebody had to take the fall

the suns need to fire their owner and gm
they built a team to lose. they won't ever be good as they are constructed. horrible drafts. just horrible everything and every other team in the west is basically getting better with some brighter future pieces and shit

la is not an all star is not playing on an all star level and we see why he needed lillard to come and usher him into the 2nd round
he is just not a GREAT player. he's a good player

it's not about skills it's about instinct TOO.

Kawai is further along as far as progressing into that killer instinct than aldridge is. we saw Kawai turn it on in the finals and we see him trying to turn it on during this season it's just not consistent enough

he needs to be aggressive and be the man every night whether tim is there or not and so far he isn't doing it.

will he? the spurs better hope so because he is the future aldridge is forever robin.

but it ain't gonna fix his athleticism there are euro cac centers more athletic than him and he ain't never been a banger down low. that 1 foot turn around ain't gonna cut it

Was coming to say something like this...

I feel once Duncan leave LA gonna be better equipped for the Spurs, it would be nice if that foreigner can get that spot

Aint looking like it so far... Hes in a tough situation. Doesnt have the range or quickness to be a new breed stretch four, and doesnt have the feet, athleticism, rebounding to be a rim protector 5. Duncan allows him to be who he is currently. Not sure how thats gonna look when he retires.... Well, other than how it looks now.

Tim Duncan lost to dirk tho

Dude im real serious. We talk shit back and forth but Im real enough to respect intelligence fam. Never personal with me but at times you drop shit from a different perspective which is on point. You, Road Rage and Shaddy all at times catch the board slipping... Respect fam!

He just gotta hit that 15-17 footer and rebound after Tim leave. Ain't nobody in the West he really gotta defend like that besides Gasol

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOMANI JONES!

MAN he's fucking perfect.

he just answered the question nobody was asking. he called the dude Simmons from the spurs "10 day"
as in 10 day contract

he just said
"Give my man 10 day a spot in that commercia, you know simmons who plays like he's on a 10 day contract? put a little extra change in his pocket cause clearly he can't ever go back to where he was before"

that is fucking perfect! that is EXACTLY how he plays . every time he's on the court he's playing like i can't ever go back to where i was before

Yea, but in the new NBA, not very many 4's he "can" guard... Not to mention small ball 5's.
Only small ball five is Draymond Green. Everybody else still keeps it big for their 5. My point is when Timmy leaves he won't be guarding the four's anymore. He's too slow to guard the four's now. That's why he looks so bad on defense now

Very problematic.

He talking about Gasol but in the west if its all on him He can't guard Green/bogut/ezili/deandre/ibaka/canter/howard/gasol/anthony davis/won't be able to guard towns/cousins

lol
gasol
gasol is the least of his worries.
