Legends of Tomorrow has found its Jonah Hex.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Johnathon Schaech has been cast in The CW's upcoming superhero team-up series as the Western antihero. The popular DC Comics character is slated to appear in the Old West-set episode 11, with the possibility to recur beyond that.
Here's the character description: A true legend of the Old West, a morally ambiguous gunslinger with a penchant for danger. Surprisingly, he knows a thing or two about time travel and the future, but is at home in the Wild West. He’s been battling outlaws and gangs for awhile now, and advises the team to be extra careful when they arrive in the small town of Salvation.
"Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time-travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West," executive producer Marc Guggenheim previously said about bringing Jonah Hex to the show. "But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply must include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television."

i bet theyll try and make this a running joke every now and then in episodes,where Jax is reluctant to leave the ship on a mission and the doc or some other character ends up having to knock him out
mustve been an interesting brunch(cast members of LoT and Flash)
I gotta give them time because they always seem able to fix things. But so far this thing is all over the place and they smartly protected themselves... every interview they say it's CRAZY...like that is gonna be the excuse for anyone who criticizes it.
Its quantum leap meets the a team meets the super friends. Very NBC eighties action series with better effects.
And it LOOKS amazing.
Now that you mention it this kind of actually DOES look like something that NBC or CBS would air either Saturday mornings or early prime-time. all thats missing is the commercials for either the action figures or the cereal

I think once they figure what exactly they want this to be they can start having specific missions and overall tone. They really need to study quantum leap.

Most likely i bet theyll be trying to stop Vandal Savage and his crew from killing all the low-level DC characters in different eras if they try and step to him..

Just checked the first ep. I liked it. Has potential. Time dude is a mothafuckin trip tho. That fool gassed they heads up talkin bout yall is legends I need yall...then when the shit hit the fan he was like yall ain't shit and ain't neva gon be shit, that's why I picked yall.

i bet when the next Flash/Arrow crossover happens the other characters on both shows probably will ask them how dumb could they all be to fall for the okie-doke

You know folks don't have patience with anything! Expecting a super hit from day #1. Second episode already solved one complaint that being, too much people on the ship. One down and it's only took part #2 of episode #1. Show will find more stable legs if people just give it time. It already has nice elements going for it.

Also Savage has been killing the two of them for centuries then he randomly decides to give them the info they need to kill him by saying Hawk Girl has to kill him. That was some shitty writing that he would give up his secret like that

I understand its actually a lot like his normal voice but it he is trying to sound cold monotone and detached.
doesn't always work..hopefully they have scene where he is drugged or something and has to talk faster and higher pitch to make it pay off
That's CW for you, they always have to have their goofy, cliche, cartoony characters. I wish they would realize that people are tired of that shit and that's why more dark themed shows like Daredevil are so popular.
