2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

So... Road Rage is on the back of that milk carton I see.... No in depth analysis? I guess he's working in his analytics and plea coppin to explain this ass whipping away... For a team licking their chops they sure as hell got their teeth knocked out. Where you at RRage!?!?

That shit was a beat down last night. Not surprising though. Them early turnovers and Steph being in the zone meant trouble early.

Tony Parker will not survive in a series against the Warriors. Unless he goes for 25 or more he is a terrible liability on defense. And don't even get me start on LaMarcus. Dude came up extra smedium. But the difference maker was definitely Steph and the Warriors pesky D. I don't think Tim would have made a difference this game. The pace was in Spurs favor in the 1st but them early 8 turnovers killed that pace.

Leonard can't guard everyone On the perimeter.

That's the whole point bro. For years the Spurs have been able to keep their core and add pieces around them. Now, that core is old as hell, and they are becoming a liability. The Spurs are still a top 5 team, but matchup wise they can't keep up offensively. Leonard masks a lot of their defensive liabilities which works against a one demensional team like the Cavs where LeBron is the focal point, but against a team like GS or by extension OKC they will have a problem when the team is so offensively dynamic. For all of the Spurs accolades, they are a weak offensive team and Aldridge is going to kill them.

I don't see any team truly challenging GS over a 7 game series, outside of injuries, with the POSSIBLE exception of OKC who at least have two dynamic offensive players who could get hot at the right time...

I agree and they did themselves a disservice by giving up their shooters. I said before in this thread that the Spurs is giving the old school ball it's last dedication. GS reminds me what the Spurs were when they beat the heat in the finals. Just younger and more athletic.

Spurs a lot more things to worry about than the Warriors. That's the least of their problems until they match up in the WC finals...if that happens.

Dude always have excuses when they lose. He does this shit every time. Dude was fucking lurking in the thread but he will say he was busy. Like Dude We Can See YOU
Funny how this dude is on here for hours sometimes with pages full of post with his pseudo intelligent banter but when it blows up in his face that fools name changes to Casper!

@ Road Rage. Where you at?
<Either>This is proof that there are some ignorant motherfuckers on BGOL, because unless you can show me one post where I said that the half court set will beat the Warriors, you are one dumb mother fucker!!!
I said the best way to beat the Warriors is to slow things down and make it a half court game... Did I say that it will work??? Come on dumb ass cut and paste the part where I said it will...
Now let me explain one thing about the half court set, just as in the game vs the CAvs, if the Warriors are able to get out in from to a big lead, guess what, they will force the other team to play catch up, and this will force them to speed things up.
I remember when the Lakers used to play the Celtics where the Celtics wanted to slow things down and the Lakers wanted to run... Once game, usually as L. A. the Lakers would blow the Celtics out the building, and folks would be thinking sweep, only to have the games go to Boston where the Celtics would dominate with the half court set.
You guys are getting this??? Because this is basketball 101, that any teenager should know...
Well I advise some of you guys to take up a few reading courses and a class or two in logic, till then please stay away from adds that apromise you can lose up to 100 pounds, and crap like that, because it does not mean you will lose 100 pounds.... </Either>

So Road Rage, did the Spurs get the meal they were licking their chops for last night? Also, please offer your analysis on how those match up advantages you shared with the board so vehemently worked out for the Spurs last night?

Here is the thing, if the Warriors hit like they are hitting they will beat any team... Just like the Lakers with the Celtics, but the Spurs are very crafty, like the Celtics and know that its a war not a battle..
A blow away is just a loss nothing more or less...

Ok so let me get this straight; you said the spurs and cavs match up well against the GS, correct?? But when GS has played both of them, its been a blood bath; But the reason why that occurred is because GS was hitting their shots?? So the match ups that the Cavs and Spurs have against the GS didnt work?? GS dominated both teams like they have done every team in the league, why is that??? Im curious to hear your responses:hmm:

I said match up well not will always beat them.... Look at it this way, if you have a team in the NFL that likes to pass the team that matches up well against them is a team that has a strong ground game... Conversely enough, the team that matches up well vs a team with a strong ground game is a team that can spread things up with the passing attack..
This is the point that you guys are missing, both teams Spurs/Warriors match up well against each other, in terms of won losses, and how bad either team lose by, well that is why they play the games on the court...

They are saying Blake got in a fight with a Clippers employee, and broke his hand bussing his ass. Not a good look. And that idiot Doc just traded away Josh Smith. Doc should be stripped of his GM status immediately.

Not a good comparison...and point is they dont match up well; hence why Cavs struggle every time they play GS; and also why the Spurs struggled last night; if they matched up well they would be more competitive; Spurs have 1 player which is Leonard; Duncan Parker and Manu are done and cant handle anything about GS; Cavs have 1 player which is LBJ; everyone else on the Cavs team is at a disadvantage playing GS; So again the point is neither team matches up well with GS; I continue to tell you that but you continue to ignore it; and you will come in with all this over analysis shit just to be wrong at the end of day...

You are wrong, other than that last blow out game, the Cavs have played the Warriors very well....

No they havent; they have played GS ugly; they tried to play an ugly game against GS but it doesnt work; and the reason why they played like that is because they dont match up well with them; Just admit that GS is a better team than the Cavs; and we can move forward; the only advantage Cavs have is LBJ; every other position goes to GS; bench goes to GS and coaching goes to GS; so stop the match up well shit, please; Once you can accept that we can have a real convo about the Cavs and basketball in general...

Well the half court set tends to get ugly, and thats what you want the game tempo to be... The problem with playing that way is that if you let them jump out to a big lead, you are going to have to speed up the tempo thus risking a blow out...
But its the only strategy you need if you want to have a shot of constantly beating the Warriors..

exactly the only way is to slow the game down to a crawl but like i said in the finals and like i said before they started winning in the finals and what we see from them. they just say fuck it.
they don't let you slow the pace down. they run whether you walk it up or not and with a ball movement offense its just not going to work you walking it up court and then the other team comes down and works you. you get antsy and nobody stays the course.
then you turn the ball over a couple times and its all she wrote.

as long as the warriors say they're going to run no matter what like they have? tough sledding.

i see okc welcoming the fast pace we'll see what happens there.

SPurs got that ass worked....but mainly by one player.

To all the Spurs fans...did this one game really make you worry?
Do you really think this one game was a "defining moment"?
Like seriously......

Its easier to prepare and adjust in a 7 game series more than it is for a 1 out of 82 game.
Especially for a vet team like the SPurs.
Dont worry....yall good!

Naw bruh this excuse and trying to dodge the question is not going to work. You did not answer the question. You stated with your so called basketball IQ that the Cavs and Spurs had the formula to beat the Warriors. Explanation yourself

They do in terms of what it takes to beat the Warriors, but you do understand that just like when they say you can lose up to 100 pound, it does not mean they will beat the Warriors...
I never said they will nor did I say they wont, I said that there are two teams that stand a shot at beating the Warriors due to their ability to play the half court set... At the end of the day they still have to execute and even if do execute at a high manner it still don't mean that they will win...
Now do you understand?

This true advantage GS, I'm really curious about Lue's approach about playing faster.

Outta the last 3 wins against the Dubs, 2 were slowed down grind outs(injures), 1 was a normal flowing type game. Kinda wondering if he figured that slowed down while they, playing faster ain't gonna get it.

It might could work for game or two but everybody gotta sprint back in transition, play full court man on ball handler just to slow them down a few seconds, just play good solid defense across the board.

Yup parker is going to be younger at the end of the year and grow 5 inches

the spurs beat teams who aren't discipline and who don't practice good ball movement. then they take advantage of those teams not doing good on the defensive end.

none of that described the warriors.

Yup we yell cheat code this cheat code that...I may be wrong bout this but seem like most of his doings is within the offense...

That's an understatement. I haven't seen anything like this since the 72-win Bulls. Curry is top five in scoring if you just take the first 3 quarters. He is having arguably the best season any player has ever had. Green is a beast that should be starting in the all-star game. Still can't believe TT compared himself to Green.

TT smoking rocks
