2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

Didn't get a chance to comment on the Cavs after the Warriors game, but I will issue the following...
First, I understand how the season is a marathon not a track meet and how its impossible to bring playoff like itensity towards every game, however that last effort, or lack of it was the worst I've even seen a LeBron James team play.. Oh here were blowouts, thats part of the game, but never have I seen them fall into beta dog mode... Actually they did it vs the Spurs the first time around, but that was after a grueling playoffs vs the Celtics and the Pistons, plus they were young and out gunned...

Next I wonder what was their strategy, all week I been pointing out how you can get to the Warriors by attacking the paint in your half court set, the Cavs tried it and missed their shots i the paint and then practically gave up, after that, there was no cutting, no ball movement other that swinging it around the perimeter and to see them try to swing the ball from the strong to the weak side on a team that is playing small and quick plus the passing lane, makes no sense at all..

This makes me wonder if they have anybody to attack the rim... LeBron seems to have lost a step when it comes to driving in the lane, not counting but off the head, his dunks seem to be way down, this year... Now teams are playing mini zones where they collaps on him in the paint hard, but Irving is not consistent attacking, at least not yet, but what wierd was JR Smith seemed to be the only one getting it..

Now lets get on their defense, the last thing you should allow, when you cannot drive to the basket, especially when the opposition is hitting lights out for outside, is to allow them to dribble penetrate inside the paint... While the Cavs ball handlers were dribbling east and west the Warriors dribbling was north strait to the hoop..
I've noticed the this year how the Cavs been doing this all season, only to seemingly correct it later on... Vs Portland they had a similar type effort and also their other home loss to the Wizards we saw the same lead foot Cavs.. To me players who are to lazy to defend their position, makes the game unteachable, to me losing due to talent or lack of it is one thing, but to lose a games due to lack of effort is inexcusable..
These things are not excuses for them losing, well maybe you could use it for an excuse if they did it once in a while, but to be honest the Cavs have been showing these patterns even in the games they won... And everyone here knows I'm big on detecting patterns, and what we seen vs G.S. can now officially be listed as a problem..
As far as match up goes, I still stick by what you must do, in order to beat the Warriors, note when the Warriors hit the way they were hitting on Monday, no one is going to beat them and if they get up on you big, sticking to the half set mat by the worst thing to do.. But until the Cavs show me more, this year, I don't think its safe to assume that the Cavs have all the parts to match up well vs the Warriors... And even if they did, you still have to question their ability to constantly execute....
Just cut on the Nets Cavs game the CAvs are up big, but I still see the flaws that plagued them vs the Warriors....

Sir, what the fuck is this

but glad all is well with your daughter

First off I think your normally spot on with your matchup pitch.
When the dubs get damn near 60 points from deep... that matchup shit don't mean squat....(don't know why the 3 point line wasnt guarded)

It's pretty simple, the energy levels has to be close to compete with the dubs unless they're shots are off and your baskets are falling, outside of that it's a struggle no matter who it is...

I do think the Cavs matchup position by position, but when u factor in energy, understanding & effort/will.... the dubs bring that damn near every 3 plays. That's those stretches where it goes from them being down 3 to a 9 point lead instantly...

I feel everybody understand your stance, but know fucking with you will likely make a thread jump 5 pages asap...

I get it, its what makes the NBA fun, and why they either love me or love to, well not hate me, but let me have it when they can.. To me its fun and what make this thread a classic bgol thread..
Getting back to the Cavs, what up with their constantly switching off on the pick and roll, I understand sometimes its smart to do it, but the Cavs do it more than any team in the NBA, and vs the Warriors, they were not communicating with each other (something you need during the pick and roll) and often they were late on the switch, to me they are better off fighting through the picks and trying to stay with their man, as often as possible..

Great Golden state win. Kats are sleeping hard on the Trail blazers.
Dame Lilard and C.J. McCollum Mason Plumlee and the rest of the back court are nice.

Naw we showed them love early in the year...
I stated, "probably only two or three names on that roster that I know, but they playing damn good"

Them and Dallas was my surprised teams after a two or three weeks into the season, after the offseason.

Didn't know cool beans.

I hate to see Lamarcus Aldridge go but with the Spurs he fit right in.

Coach Pop and Jerry Sloan former Utah coach of the Stockon and Malone era Coach Sloan doesn't get the credit he deserves. Both are Hall of Famers.

Ninja Im not reading all this...this is all that matters, GS is way better team than the Cavs and they not losing to them in any series..all that other shit is just shit..

Yup...two stat they normally do better than their opponents, which goes hand in hand....

Yeah I didn't even see the game, but I knew the box score would look something like this. We still don't have the perimeter threat we've needed.

I know bro, im just being sarcastic with u; but when they get with the Spurs its gonna be real quiet on the board...
Not sure if they win 73 games but I'll be damned if they aren't the most dominant team I've seen in years.... Had LeBron damn near crying and shut Road Rsge the hell up for 2 days

I mean I ain't even trying on y'all stat...

They thing with the dubs they pass the ball damn good and don't mind shooting 25 plus 3's a game...

That's normally the difference inthey're games....

When the Dubs are focused they score from all over; They take plenty of 3s so it looks like they are outside team; but they score just as many points on the inside as well; its like they reversed the way the game is played; most, dam near all, teams use the inside to set up the 3(or inside out) but the Dubs use the 3 to setup in the inside; and its working with ease; shit is crazy...

Mavs had to go into OT tonight to beat the Wolves

No Dirk tonight his knee is messing with him :smh:

We asking him to do too much still

Dude got a lot of miles

I dont think they will win 73 just because of them resting players and all teams will get up to play them; so they will get challenge every night; but notice how Barnes is rounding into shape; no one has answers for that lineup and their bench...

The thing I wonder about is if the Spurs have enough outside shooting along with their bench play. Loosing Belinelli has been a hit to the Spurs perimeter offense a bit. Simmons has been a pleasant surprise for them. Kyle Anderson gives them production and can hit the 3. Even if the Warriors win Monday Pop will make adjustments. Kerr is actually going to have to coach. There's going to be a lot of switching on defense from the Spurs and the precise ball movement that we've come to expect.
