The Facebook and Twitter icons will be gone soon, but I like the mobile layout too. I'm still pissed that Tapatalk disabled their service for a few months because they were having a problem with Itunes. I don't losing control like that.

Probably something I need to activate, what specific notification are you looking for? That will allow me to solve the problem, then look at all email notifications.
You already have it activated, folks just have to go to their Preferences and select which type of notifications they'd like to get...my Outlook stays buzzing already.

The site looks good. Almost a half million threads migrated - that's one helluva task. Good shit.
Still it won't feel like home until 'Xenforo' is replaced by those familiar bubble letters 'BGOL.US'
sort of like opening up a new business and putting up your own neon, or buying a house and putting up 'Footprints' by the door and the giant Fork, Spoon, and Knife set in the kitchen.
That sig needs to be updated to something cleaner and sleaker. Bubble letters make this site look like a daycare. Should have a darker and more professional looking logo and theme.
Maybe Quaid in black and bgol in a nice big black or grey font.

From what I've read so far there is no way to disable avatars

This place needs a overhaul. Looking at it from a business aspect, we're going to be hard press to grow in popularity and members with the current setup. This place has to be restructured and the identity updated to be more inviting for different types of audience. We're definitely not going to get anymore female members going the same route we've been either. Which amounts to less $$$ for uncle HNIC.
This place lack variety and proper administration.

HNIC has barely had the forum up for more than 48 hours so I'm pretty sure the site is far from a finished product.
However, I've been spying out the theColi for a bit...it's very clear that a good bit of the BGOL culture is ingrained there and their organization as it's structured is superb. That's one of the few sites where I've seen Xenforo maximized to fit a specific theme and it's clearly successful, they usually average 3 to 4k people on at any time and it has a good mix of women in there as well. This is why I stated previously that utilizing the social engines (more importantly, like Twitter) would possibly open us up as far as visibility to a bigger audience and considering the age of most users on this board...a younger one as well, I think it's important to press growth with the slate clean right now. I'm not saying we should conform to what theColi does but there are A LOT of porn addicts on Twitter, social media, etc and with BGOL being a defining standard and influence on a lot of forums on the net, that capital should be used aggressively.

I agree that HNIC should utilize social engines to open us up to a bigger audience if he could. BGOL was wayyyyyyyyyyy better when it was truly wiiiiiiide open for the world to come through. Now it's just a select group of us same perverts who chose to pay the donation. I understand he has to make his cash so perhaps opening it up to the public every other month would get new people up in this joint. A month on BGOL would probably get them just addicted enough to pay the donation the next month for access for the year. If it doesn't work it could always be cancelled. But I think Twitter and Facebook is too big to be completely ignored because of the billion+ users. A small percentage of that would make BGOL bigger, better and also make HNIC a multi-millionaire overnight. Seems like a win-win to me.
Return the Views. Rather than just seeing the number of replies, it was good to see the number of views because of the obscene number of lurkers on this site. Some members have been members for years and never reply to anything, so it will be nice to see the number of views a topic has returned to the board
Or, or, (hear me out) you can create a new thread with some updated pics (you know the kind we like) and get a trillion likes off of that.
