2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

Big men are so sorry in the league now of days, small ball dominates. It was terrible to watch Griffin only score 1 point in the 4th and could not take any advantage over Green. You not going to match GS small ball line up, so you have to take advantage of it. That's why I am interested in seeing the Spurs play them because SA has went away from the run and gun style and went back to more of the '03 squad.

Memphis just never solved their outside shooting problem, so they we no threat to GS. The Clippers are so disappointing. The couldn't even play Jordan at the end of the game. Like, seriously? Jamal Crawford play the most minutes out of everybody and was inefficient as hell. PP play 31 minuted and I'm trying to figure out when that happened.

The one kryponite to GS is a solid big man that can actually take advantage of a mismatch. These ol' no skilled having big men in the league should be ashamed.

Since offense going with this spread attack(same as football) your starting to see less and less of what we're used to coming up over the years.

Take this year for any example
Boogie taking 3's...
Brow went find his deep shot again...

Ain't nothing wrong with having all around game, but centers abusing defenders at the rim is getting rare as a whole...

Anybody hear Lebron's comments about when he was on the Heat, something to the effect of in that locker room guys could just speak their mind and move on. The way he said it makes it seem like there are some sensitive cats in the Cleveland locker room.

Yea that probably is the case, these cats haven't really won anything before last year, he was chatting about last week

He's the GM, he got the players he wanted, sucks to be him, no a single fuck given :hmm:

Nah fam. you beat them by playing as a team. you have to play as a team over an entire series then you can win. if you don't? if all your guys don't step up.. if dudes don't contribute their averages along with the star playing incredible you not beating them

thompson scored more than 21 points 2 times in the entire playoffs last season
twice that's it.

Of course you have to have a team, but not many teams are built like them and their strongest lineup is small ball. Plus they're deep. You're not going to beat them at their own game, so you have to counter them by attacking their weakness, which is the inside. Very few teams can do that. Memphis could, but their shooting is so bad that they can't free up their big men. You know there was NO REASON for Griffin to only score 1 point against Green in the 4th. They was up 10 with 5 minutes left. All the Clips had to do was put Blake in deep position on the post and eat. Draw fouls on Green. Put pressure on them in the inside. But these big men now of days have feel in love with catching the ball 15 to 18 feet out. You're not going to beat GS that way.

Blake always does that against everybody though. I been saying this shit for years and everybody ignores it. I'm just hating. No im watching this guy put up dope ass numbers in the 1st half and end the game on a milk carton and then in the end he has 35 points 12 rebounds and 9 assists and then they say it wasn't his fault

yea it was.

he has no post game. none. still ain't got no moves either. if he catches that shit on the block or on the elbow he's going to pivot to face the basket put his head down and run to the rim and try to draw a foul. that's it. if he doesn't do that he's going to immediately shoot.

that's his entire game in 2 sentences.

Dude is way overrated. He's not big game. He can give you big numbers, but I'm not putting any money on dude to lead a team to a win. These dudes need to play soccer or something. Get some footwork and post moves. I know you hate this dude, so I am bringing him up on purpose, lol. But image if Blake had the footwork of Diaw. The ability to dance his way in the lane all while is back is behind the basket.

And Blake really ain't that decisive when he do face up. Ayo, I think I'm done with these over-the-top dunking big men coming out of college. And personally, I just need to accept the fact the game has evolved and what I am looking for out of big men in the NBA isn't going to happen.

Re: 2015-2016 NBA Thread - Training Camp 9/29

Man why in the heck would you have Anthony Davis focus on taking all those damn jumpers. He should be 25-10 in the paint. What is gentry thinking???

Anybody hear Lebron's comments about when he was on the Heat, something to the effect of in that locker room guys could just speak their mind and move on. The way he said it makes it seem like there are some sensitive cats in the Cleveland locker room.

With Miami the Heat had a clear identity, everyone knew their roles, so when things went south it was much easier to pick up...
With this years Cavs they have a lot of chemistry problems stemming from the fact that they are trained to be a run and gun team with a motion offense and fluid team defense.. Their main problem is that with Shumpert and Irving out, they aren't that athletic or fast... Currently if you take away LeBron, everyone else is average or below average when it comes to athleticism..
So due to this they are forced to do a 360 about-face strategy from what they wanted to start the season with...
Last week they were one of the most slowest and deliberate teams in the NBA a style that will surely change with a healthier Irving and Shumpert..
I think in their locker the friction is more about how they should play and the suggested tempo, on one hand perhaps LeBron wants a faster tempo but with their talent perhaps they are better off running the half court set, that is until the cavalry comes to the rescue..

You can still see how bigger teams who play that east coast/half court set offenses seem to give the Warriors the most trouble..

This Golden state Chicago game shouldn't be this close. Rose half dead ass is somewhere laid up. Golden state has underrated passing skills as a team.

Iggy was on again the Clips. He's having some trouble tonight.

Naw he said something like "some of the players seem to think they're (the Cavs) are entitled to make it back to the finals", also said "the warriors are playing motivated and hungier than then them and it should've be like that because they haven't won anything"...

All three east coast teams they played against played the Warriors close..
