I fear you are being penny wise and pound foolish. If the cost of good work is $600, pay the money. Enough of us have paid and been patient for decades bruh. While sure the stability has increased, all the server move has done, is put some new wheels and tires on the same tired 86' Honda Civic. Lets move the platform where it needs to be, in the future.
I hate to even broach this put maybe a fund for the transfer?
Or bgol IT could volunteer tech support?
I've always wondered with all the talent and intelligence we have on here, why are some of the IT guys stepping up.

Yes if I install it. That board software is Fully Responsive, which means it will work across all
devices without Tapatalk. I'm aware that a lot of members really like Tapatalk so I will probably install it.

I sent out a PM to everyone on Friday to tell you that I had reached out to someone and I'm waiting on him to get back with
me. The person I reached out to seems to be the most qualified to do the job. His price is his price, I said that if I have
to pay it I will pay it. The post I make on this board are really just a stream of consciousness as I work through this
upgrade. I'm going to give the guy until Monday to get back with me, then I will go to the next guy I think is qualified.
Other than flying over to the UK and putting a gun in a Kats mouth and making them respond when I want them to, I have to
be semi-patient. That is the purpose of this update thread.
To keep it real there are some people who just don't want to fuck with a site like BGOL, I've ran into that problem in the
past. The super religious, those who have a problem with stolen content or white techs who view the board as racist,
aren't trying to fuck with BGOL.
Having said all that I will get it done. Trust me, I want to get this done as much or more than you.
I'll keep you updated.

you just have to post the link and it will embed automatically. you can do that for instagram and twitter post too.

No it doesn't work. And another weird thing, if I view an embedded youtube video on a PC/Mac browser w/o flash it shows missing plugin. But if I view that same page on an ipad it comes up OK. Also, Youtube videos embedded with the "iframe" code instead of "youtube" show up ok without flash.

I was wondering what happened to it,I usually click on the youtube icon and then paste the video id that comes at the end of it....now I gotta type that shit out again..
This board has no bearing on how YouTube displays an embedded video. That's up to YouTube as to how it displays what according to your browser on your end.
On a PC, because of the browser, it will look to display flash but a higher resolution will play mp4. On an iPad or Mac that's all that's displayed is mp4.
The board has no control over that. And not speaking for the board, it's just the way the web or YouTube is overall. It will try to send the smallest bandwidth to play a video and that is usually Flash.

But the YT vids embedded with the Iframe code show up on my Mac browsers. The ones embedded with the custom tags show up as missing plugin.
I can see this:

Mix D, hit the nail on the head. Here is what it looks like from tapatalk. A few days ago I would only be able to see the video posted via the youtube tags. However, since Tapatalk recently updated now I can click on a link for the embedded post.

in some cases (prior to this) he has respectfully declined/ignored their suggestions...in one instance he flat out cussed a dude out...don't know if DIH remembers that
