Serena has only lost 2 matches all year. She has had to go the full 3 set distance 17 times and has managed to win 16 of those matches. The reason why she is so great is her ability to fight and keep fighting till the very end.

Serena had many great escapes...matches that she was in trouble and had to comeback.

Yesterday she ran out of everything,emotion,chances and luck....add in all the pressure,and someone playing the match of their life...and you get that result.
