I recall Venus saying when they were younger that she can beat Serena but only does to make a point. She never liked beating her because Serena takes it too serious

Serena didn't even play THAT badly in the 2nd set. She just blinked and it was over. It was defo in the Top 5 of their matches. I'd still say 2003 AO F, 2008 Wimbledon F, and 2008 US Open QF were better.....but this was pretty good even though it was never really in doubt.
I really hope Venus can somehow win another major. May the seeds just all fall, the seas part, and Jesus comes down and walk her to the title (Marion Bartoli style)! If Venus wins another major (which isn't categorically impossible), it's hands down the best accomplishment in tennis ever. It would be such an unreal comeback and an insane moment.

Vinci has been doing this all tournament. No one gives her a shot and she finds a way to persevere. It will be a large task for her to take the 3rd set though, but I do applaud her monstrous effort during this tournament.
