I love Jodeci, but let's be real. They don't belong on this list.

...add to that where's The Dells, Bloodstone, The Manhattans and the Isley Brothers.
On second thought there's no way to structure a list with only 10 groups. Not if your going to include all the best groups.
I'll go along with eras. When I look at what I have within my collection eras makes sense.idk Mo, I think you can, but you'd have to define eras. For instance: I think the 60s & 70s were probably the pinnacle of Black R&B music so that would be one era and we could work from there. 80s & 90s next? Then everything after. No matter, the 60s, 70s groups are going to blow away anything from any era. Then look at the house bands: MFSB, Booker T & the MGs, Funk Bros., The Bar-Kays. So when you say "top 10" I'm thinking they're all going to come from the 60s, 70s era. And we're only just now really hearing what Motown sounded like with the remastering from those fucked up, treble-heavy masters.
How come no female groups are on the list? I don't care what anyone says I'm putting en vogue on the list.
How is Boyz 2 Men being treated like some second rate group? I know we romanticize the past - and rightfully so, at times - but .... stop.
