LeBron James Reportedly Expected to Influence Cavaliers' Free-Agency Spending

Lol at Love opting out of 16 mil coming off shoulder surgery.

Who writes this shit?

Yeah, that's exactly what has been floating around up here(concern about his back and shoulder). Seems like Love coming back isn't all on Kevin Love. Before, it was a given the Cavs would offer max. Supposedly, that isn't a given anymore.

People have always been concentrating on whether or not Love wants to stay. They always assume Lebron ....err Cleveland would offer max.

When they show the Cavs bench....:smh:

All that dead weight...Shawn Marion,Miller,Brendon Haywood,Perkins...and none of them could give them anything?

Get NBDL players who could at least get up and down the court.

I think Marion and Miller could've provided something

Marion for sure

Haywood and Perkins are big slow bums tho

Ask him how Kobe's "influence" of bringing in Antoni to coach, Nash, and Dwight worked out? How far did they Big Four (Kobe, Nash, Dwight, Gasol) go?
The original deal was for CP3 and Kobe didn't exactly go hard for Howard. In fact, he made Howard's life miserable on the team. Kobe sucks as a GM "influence." Exactly my point. Great players don't always make for great GMs.The Miami Heat big 3 was a no-brainer.
Hmmm a Finals appearance. Ask the GM of any team outside of Golden State if they would like the same level of success this year if given a second to switch places.
You actually think other coaches/GMs envy losing in the finals?
its his fault love and irving got hurt?

and even then...they made the finals :smh:
Weren't both Irving and Love injury prone BEFORE this past season. That wasn't a clue?

Close only counts playing horse shoes and with hand grenades. Even he said he'd rather not make the playoffs than lose in the finals. Basically, "second place is the first place loser." Everyone is banking on Love and Irving being healthy next year, but that's no guarantee. Not to mention I don't think Love is 100% sold on not being THE guy in his own time. Shump and JR are both hit or miss and Lebron had to put up video game stats to still get beat 2 games to 4. Just wondering if he has the acumen to address all those issues and improve is team as a de facto GM.

Nah it doesnt work that way. Lebron was still in the moment "if" he said that. Give him a chance to cool down and he'll say their run was impressive. Remember he also said that he didnt expect them to go past the 2nd round this year. Besides that, its still impressive since some franchises havent been to the finals in decades. So from winning less than 30 games last year to doing that in his first year is a major accomplishment. Point being, those acquisitions he made worked. If they were healthy they would be holding the trophy right now.

*fixed*

Cavs missed the playoffs the last 4 years. It didnt get easy til a certain player showed up.

no, the east is trash. everyone talking about the warriors not having to face love... the bulls didn't either did they?

shit kyrie was sitting out games against the hawks and they swept them....with the same "bums" everybody were praising 2 weeks ago as integral and key to the success of the cavs.
and now everyone is playing and saying they just some dudes off the street.

remember 2 weeks ago when dudes were saying oh shump and jr all they needed was a chance and to play with lebron? delladova was cac #1?

people trying to play mosgov like he didn't totally change the cavs season because he brought defense and rebounding

and then trying to play the impact thompson had on the cavs in the same area

today all you hear is lebron and a bunch of bums

2 weeks ago they had enough to win it all

The West is trash, a team that ran that conference had their toughest time wit an East team down 2 starters. :smh: Pelicans, Grizz, and Houston were alot easier.

did they really have a tough time? lebron did the impossible. its a testament to how great he is. he put up iconic numbers. numbers so great people wanted to make him the mvp win or lose

the warriors got down 2-1 to a lebron playing all time great basketball. what is the saying a great player will get you 1? well a transcendent player will get you 2. and then dominated the series correct?

when they were down 2-1 to the grizzlies people couldn't wait to call them pretenders

just like when they got down 2-1 to the cavs... no blowout games might i add... and everyone was ready to call them dead.

both times they responded by winning 3 straight and winning the series.

Ohio sucks as a state and does not deserve a championship ever.

They will only get top players who were born here and never by choice. They pulled Kemp and he almost ate himself to death due to t he depression from being here.

:lol::lol::lol:

Ohio just won a chip

They were favored to win in 5 games. When Kyrie went down people were calling sweep. It took 6 games. And all but one was highly competitive unlike some of the blowouts we saw in the West playoffs. LeBron dominates the East just like he would if he played for a Western conference team. Itd be the same result.

nah you could put the cavs in the west and theyd be a top 3 seed

if anyone else in the east played in the west they dont make the playoffs

#EastStillSucks

Here's what he said.

I agree the acquisitions work on paper, but my first thought when the Love talk started was "injury." Sure enough, he got injured. I'm not saying Lebron shouldn't have influence on who he plays with, but players pressing for acquisitions and firings has a hit or miss history. Would you come back with this exact same line up and rely on them staying healthy for a run at a title? :dunno:

and this is your problem in a nutshell.

lebron is the greatest player of this generation and got the team to the finals

in a weak ass eastern conference.

what team in the east has a chance at the playoffs in the west?

none

1 player isn't the entire conference. but because the conference is void of talented teams he will keep going back to the finals

LeBron could join any Western team and take them to a Finals. I like Bron in Memphis, Houston, or even Portland coming out the West. Who in the conference would stop him? Durant? Steph? Kawhi? Its not about the Cavs, theyre a lottery team without him. But pair him with any Western team and yall gon be calling the West weak too. When he becomes a FA he should seriously consider it. Competition in the West is not as fierce as u project.

Sorry but a healthy thunder team would of obliterated the Warriors. Same goes for the Spurs. The Warriors while I feel Curry is that dude were lucky as shit this year.

Nah give Warriors they due, they won 83 games this year. It wasnt no fluke, and at this point San Anton is overrated. OKC might not ever be healthy if Durant dont get right.

yeah Q, bball players with bad feet are a disaster. sadly, we mightve seen the best of KD

Kevin love needs to go. Resign Thompson and mozgov and some how get rondo so they can move Irving to sg. Rondo should be cheap or get Carroll from the Hawks.

Rondo still can't shoot & his defense has been trash the last few years, so I don't know why they would want him.

I would say a Rondo/Irving backcourt would work cuz Rondo needs to play with a guard who can shoot the ball

But he wants to be the primary ball handler and that job belongs to Lebron so no

Cavs don't need Rondo pill head ass

:lol::lol:

you is right dawg rondos head look like a giant pill :lmfao2:

Bro I was thinking about Rondo after game 1, I said, "you can count on Mo Williams or Ramon Session will be back with the Cavs". Then I realized Session just signed with Was.

These were my thoughts on Rondo...

I think he'd would be fine, but the the am would blossom only if Kevin Love comes back.

A lineup of

Rondo
Irving
James
Love
Mozgov

Probably work better than

Rondo
Irving
James
Thompson
Mozgov

Even tho, I much rather them continue going with a tradition big lineup. This would be easier to guard Lebron but maybe if he work on his handles, things would be a little easier for him.

Also this could work...moving lebron to the point. This "MY" ideal move.
Run the offense thought, Love and Irving, then let Lebron close the game out.

Lebron
Irving
Shum or Gerald Green
Love
Mozgov

That's just my thought, Rondo works if Love returns or Aldridge happens if love walks.

Staying big with Rondo would mean, TT have to improve his post game, just so he can get way more quality touches down low, and TMo work that midrange like Luc lonely or Big Z.

I like that smash mouth, physical style...
That's why I like watching the pacers and memphis.

They could not sign Rondo as they don't have the cap space

They could not sign Rondo as they don't have the cap space. Nor could they sign Carroll because of cap space
