50 is a terrible actor. Dude let his ego get in the way and casted himself in a pretty decent show he was exec-producing. Now Power has too many suspect actors in lead roles, 50 and the white boy.

This. Shows like Empire can get away with that campy shit, because they're a night time soap. This is supposed to be a crime drama. Bad acting undermines believability, which it vital for a story like this. The white boy is irritating as fuck and I can't believe they're letting his chick live. They're teetering on fucking up a potentially great show.

I agree the first episode was pretty good. 50s son is really a disappointment. Either he's really really good at "playing dumb" or he's got to be the dumbest character in TV history. Even if his father were in jail, he had to have learned SOMETHING from ghost after all these years. It's almost like this dude came out the womb at 21 or something..

For real! Simon Stern showed Ghost this Chess, not Checkers. YOu could see the look of "Damn..." on Ghost's face when Stern was saying how he could see how invested emotionally and financially he was in this one club and that he knew he couldn't just pack up and open up another one just like that.
