They lost to probably the best team in the East though.
Cavs are just peaking at the right time. Hawks peaked in the regular season. Ya'll being hard on them but they played a solid game under the circumstance. I honestly thought they'd get blown the fuck out eventually in this game.

Naw man as a team they are right now playing better than with Kyrie and Love IMO and part of it is because their role players are allowed to play their roles. They know what their roles are. They know their role is to hit that spot up 3 point shot and if you Tristan attack the paint and grab some boards. Hawks aren't a bad team. They're not as good as their record and they have their problems but the Cavs are peaking at the perfect time. JR Smith is hitting some BIG TIME shots for them.

Hawks ain't that bad man. I like their players on their team but just like I said in that thread about the Nuggets.....they missing their 1st and 2nd option and they not on the team. Teague has potential to be a great 2nd option but they missing some guys on that team to be a legit contender. You can only go so far with role players.
The NBA has made the game about the superstar and you gotta get one to be a legit contender. Every team has one that's still in the playoffs except the Hawks.

The east this year might be the worst conference in nba history; And its showing in the playoffs; Man I would bet everything that the Cavs wouldnt beat the Spurs this year; Would struggle with the Clips and Memphis, maybe lose; Hell throw the Rockets in there also; EAST IS PATHETIC!!!!Please tell me what kind of offense the Cavs run??? And then explain to me why the Hawks have problems guarding players that will only take 3pt shots???
Hawks didnt quit tonight, they fought til the end. Losing Horford was HUGE, they could've mailed it in after that, but they kept tryna stay in it. They've had a good year and generated a good buzz for their fans this year, no shame in losing to a guy who's won the East the last 4 years. This is what he does.
You guys are funny. I've lived in Atlanta since 1994 and this is the most excitement I have ever witnessed for the Hawks in this city. This is also the furthest the Hawks have ever made it in an NBA season and I was here when Dominique, Blaylock, Steve Smith, Danny Manning and a few other greats were on the team back in the day at one point or another.
This current group has overachieved in my opinion considering they play in the same conference as Lebron, D Rose, Melo, John Wall, D Wade and a few other superstars on other eastern conference teams. They don't have the experience to get past this point and it showed tonight and throughout this series.
Lebron is the closest to Jordan in this generation, not in skill set level, but, with his incredible will power to win. I don't think any team should be ashamed to lose to Lebron in the playoffs. Just my opinion.
