***THE OFFFICIAL BGOL 2015 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD*** Who you Got?

Well considering Curry wasn't recruited by the big time schools especially Duke and UNC that ninja been playing with a chip on his shoulder since those 2 years at Davidson where he got them to the elite 8.. He's made a lot of mofos eat shit and has become one of those players who is unguardable..

Dispite his pops being a legend on the hornets the kid had to work, shit wasn't a cake walk for him.. Yeah the league wants this story

No doubt, plus all the doubts about him coming out of Davidson too! Dude's confidence is off the charts, which is why I seriously believe the roasting we are about to see will not only be his coming out party, but may approach embarrassment at times... :smh:

:hmm:

I think Houston will suprised people again. They have a lot of guys between 6'6 and 6'9 that can guard golden state.

Corey brewer, Josh smith, Terrance jones, Trevor Ariza.......the versatility makes this a good series.....they will switch every thing.

Defensively the rockets can hang with the warriors.....I think in the front court houston has a clear advantage....and if you can outrebound and outblock anyone you can win the game anywhere anytime.Houston can win this.

I think you can take Klay thompson away with a combination of Corey brewer and Ariza.

Look at it this way... and I absolutely LOVE Curry's game. Who seriously deserved the MVP this season? A guy with basically the same team as last year, whose team for the most part was healthy all year so he couldn't be the total focal point of the defense, or a guy whose 2nd best player, and his starting point guard were hurt for a huge chunk of the season, and he still led them to what, the second seed?

The league was subtly campaigning for Curry and conditioning the minds of the general public for him as MVP long before the voting Bruh...

I feel ya; I do think Harden had a good case for the MVP; But its hard not to give the award to Curry who put up great #s on a team that had a great season; Usually the MVP goes to that player...

In the 2 series that Houston has already played in the playoffs, who did they take away?? or take out the game?? What makes you think they can guard anyone when they havent guarded anyone all year??

Houston got swept during the season. They ain't doing shit. Watch them go down in 5. Shit we might sweep them again. Foh Houston.

They Beat Dallas and Clippers by being more talented 1-5.They dont have stop them just slow them down. I thought Josh Smith slowed down Blake in Games 5,6,and 7.

Regular Season dont mean SHIT!! we all know that!! If you really look closely you will see golden state only has the clear advantage at the Point guard position just like the clippers.

Houston 2-5 players are better than Golden state 2-5 players.

Harden better than Thomson
Trevor Ariza better Andre I or Harrison barnes.
Josh smith better than Draymond green
Dwight howard better than Andrew bogut.

You know the warriors are the best defensive team in the league right? With the best shooters. Tell me how that is going to miraculously change all of a sudden playing Houston. Also you are wildin saying all them are better than the warriors lmao. Trevor Ariza better than Barnes??? Stop. Josh smith better than Draymond? Foh

Warriors will win this series but I think it's going to be competitive and not a sweep like most are predicting.

Most people are predicting a sweep based off what the Warriors did to the Rockets the regular season but the Rockets weren't at full strength most of those games. Some key players were missing and 3 of those games were played on the end of a back to back for the Rockets.

Curry will get his points no disputing that. I think Ariza can slow down Thompson a little bit. The key player that I'm worried about for the Warriors is Barnes. Harden will likely guard him and I think Barnes will make Harden work when the Rockets lock in on the splash brothers.

Brewer and Smith gotta play like they did against the Clippers the last 2 games and Rockets got to dominate the paint. I just want to see the Rockets go down swinging.

I think GS will probably win. too.

But the Rockets have:

Harden - been to the Finals
Dwight - been to the Finals
Brewer - has a ring
Ariza - has a ring
Terry - has a ring

That playoff experience will help.

Rockets HAVE to keep their turnovers down. Memphis showed that if you take away Klay, you can control that offense some. So focus on that.

PLAY ABOVE THE RIM.

Warriors cannot match the Rockets athleticism. Go to the hole, if Bogut comes over, just throw that shit in the air. There's no Chandler or Jordan to challenge Dwight above the rim. The lob should be there all game. Every time Bogut leaves Dwight even a little bit, lobs must be thrown. Make Bogut stay at home and open the lane up for drives.

GS plays great team defense, so you have to be careful with your passes.

Dwight has to eliminate all the little Curry and Klay drives and scoop shots they like to throw up. Make them strictly jump shooters.

Rockets must win the rebound battle. MUST. The way the Rockets win is with second shots and limiting GS to one shot.

Dwight also needs to run, Bogut can't run with him, make a guard have to pick him up on the break then get him to ball quickly.

Harden must play big.

dr. truth done put his stank on the series...it's gonna go 7 yall

http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/p...ts-warriors-expect-lots-of-3s-lots-of-running

^^^^^"The Warriors swept the Rockets (4-0) in the regular season. This series marks the fifth time that a team swept another team 4-0 in the regular season, then met again in the conference finals. The team with the regular-season advantage is 3-1 in those matchups.

The Thunder swept the Spurs in the 2013-14 regular season. In the playoffs, however, the Spurs beat the Thunder en route to winning the NBA title. Overall, teams to sweep 4-0 in the regular season and then meet in any round have a 55-6 series record."

So the only time in the conference finals a team beat the team that swept them in the regular season was the spurs; which beat an OKC team that Serge Ibaka was hurt in that series...and in the other rounds the team that has swept the other team in the regular season, has a 90% win percentage in the playoffs..but yet folks in here talking about the regular season dont matter..:hmm::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Dude, people focus so much on the Warriors offense they act like they are giving up 120 a a game (which the Rockets did a few times to the Clippers, and the Warriors are a much better offensive unit than the Clippers)

I see this jawn going at least 6 games, but when someone says Josh Smith is better than Draymond Green I actually had to stop reading.

This game will come down to how the refs ref... If they call it loose, it will definitely go in the Warriors favor because for one, if they don't allow Harden to maul the defensive player on his drives and still get FTs out of it, that basically limits his effectiveness. As much as the talk is of how Barnes are athletic enough to give Harden problems, and ultimately, Houston, notwithstanding the last 3 games against the Clippers, are a deficient offensive team once you get past Harden because Smith, Ariza and Brewer are not consistent enough to be counted on to regularly contribute. You will get flashes from all of them, and you will also get duck eggs.

This will be a great series to watch, and will have a few surprises but I still see the Warriors winning in 6.

Fuck outta here with these garbage markets in the NBA finals

Best believe this shit won't last long

NBA not doing the small market shit again

Somebody gonna get traded to a big market watch

A couple of niggas

Yeah this I can agree with.

Yeah this I can agree with.

Plus, people are talking about player matchups as if the Warriors offense is like the Clippers or the Mavs... their offense is predicated on ball movement and screens, so this one person can lock up another is fools gold. The only one who REGULARLY freelances is Curry, which is a major problem because all this let Curry get his is based on traditional offense thinking. If Beverly plays and is not too rusty, it may slow them down a bit, but I don't see Beverly shutting down Steph either, look at his numbers head to head with Beverly. The cause for switching and help on Curry with Old ass Prigs and Jet on him, will create the motion the Warriors offense needs to be effective...

If the Grizzlies weren't able to slow them down, to the tune of a few blowouts, I don't see the Rockets. They may be able to here and there for a game or so, but ultimately, it will wear them down...

It comes down to the inside game my man. If Dwight dominates Bogut, if he puts up 20/20 every night which he should in this series, you can control tempo. Make it a fist fight. Warriors want to play pretty. See if they want to get dirty.

Warriors have should win this series. Rockets have to be tougher, more physical, more athletic.

And as far as Klay, I would help off Barnes to stop Klay. Make Barnes be a 30 point a game scorer to beat you. If he does, tip your hat. You cannot let Curry and Klay both go off. You have no chance.

I totally agree with your assessment about Dwight, I actually said the same thing a few posts ago, but I think they will deal with him by committee since a blind man knows Bogut can't deal with Dwight.

As far as the help scenario, that's what makes the Warriors offense so explosive, you get the defense moving and helping, with their ball movement they will find the open man and that will be disaster for the Rockets because they have no defensive versatility outside of say Ariza. The true test will be if Harden decides its time to really commit to defense. If he does, he tilts the balance a little, but if he's still the same old James, it will kill Houston because it plays into GS's strengths.

I would actually have Dwight shadow Klays drives, instead of helping off of Barnes, who has shown in recent games he can score. You give him 25 a game, along with what you know Curry is going to give you, that's too much to overcome, especially if Green goes off and I seriously believe he has an advantage over Houstons 4s.

Gonna be a great series though!!

Rockets have no chance in stopping Curry and Klay; Again who did they stop in the clippers or mavs series?? Let me answer no one, they just outscored dallas and the Clips melted; But the Clips still scored at will until they froze; GS is way better offensively than both of those teams; Rockets are not a physical team and they arent about to play that way all of a sudden; Again GS plays defense and they will against the Rockets; GS in 6 maybe 5!!!

Dallas complained all series about the Rockets physical play.

GS has ALLLL the pressure because as you just said, the Rockets don't even deserve to be on the same court as them.

Dallas had Chandler, Clips had Jordan. This will be the Rockets' biggest advantage inside they have seen.

You're right GS should sweep them by 40 a night. Curry should get 50 a night.
