How did Golden State fuck over Mark Jackson. They obviously have a better coach with Kerr.
And Pierce's shot at the endThey should have let that count just because.
NeNe is a fuckin waste
And why is it the one second round series that was over after four games, is the only one continuing
I will say what I said when the Heat played OKC and everybody swore up and down the heat was doomed..That's sometimes you need a strong offensive to keep a strong offensive team honest. With a strong offense, as in the case of Memphis, Golden State ballers could exert all of their energy one side of the court, plus with out worrying about double teams or having to collapse and trap in the paint.. Vs Memphis they were free to push the ball up before the defense was able to get set. Plus in spite of all of Memphis shooting woes and GS shooting lights out, if Memphis were able to shoot at least 35% with those wide open three pointers, the games would have been a lot closer. .Memphis was the toughest and playoff ready defense that GS faced and GS adjusted and handled them well..
From here on to the finals is gonna be a cake walk for them.. Clips? Rockets? Cavs? Hawks? Yeah pencil GS in for the chip now
Curry get a chip might as well put him in as a first ballot HOF'er
how is kerr better?
seems like he is on auto pilot to me
how is kerr better?

Would make a Griz aint shit thread but i dont think this team is even worth that
Blow this bitch up, and dont look back
Congrats towards GS![]()
It's funny how everyone shit on my Sixers for that method.... But all of a sudden, it's the in thing to do when it suits another teams needs! Told y'all Hinkie is a genius!
Real rap though, you have to have a real plan if you do this shit, and patience. It's been hard as hell being a Sixers fan these last 3 years, but Memphis and to a lesser degree the Bulls do need to look into that flow. With the Bulls, you always worry about D Roses knees, so you have to get him some help at PG so he's not run in the ground, Gasol is getting long in the tooth, and Noah's limited ass is becoming even more limited and is starting to break down physically.
Coach T ran the fucking wheels off that team![]()
Them obviously turning the corner. The record this year versus the one last year. Them making the western conference finals
Them being a good defensive team this year, and not just a offensive one
I mean, I guess you have Livingston and Barbosa as a difference in teams.
But there's a reason Mark Jackson didn't get another gig.
One of the reasons they got rid of Jackson was they wanted more experienced and better assistants under him being that he was a young coach.
Jackson was very successful as the Warriors coach so I don't think it's his coaching ability at the heart of him getting another job. I believe it's more of a function of the impression he is difficult to get along with and hi religious stance if anything

Kerr got like 2 or 3 ex coaches on his staff.
Won't say he's better than Jackson BUT he's definitely better for this team. He's taken essentially the same team an turned them into the best team in the league immediately.
And as for the auto pilot issue, that actually validates Dude's opinion in a sense... Someone had to prep/coach them into the machine that allows him to now be on auto pilot so...
The Bulls were good with Doug Collins, they were great with Phil![]()

Can't use that analogy in this context because Kerr hasn't won ONE title yet much less 3. Like I said, he may be a better fit for this team, but it doesn't mean he's a better coach. He's definitely coaching his ass off with the Warriors though, BUT he did inherit a great team from the gate. Mark helped turn them into who they are today, Kerr basically had a head start...
Then that analogy is perfect, because Phil Jackson improved on what was already there. The same as has Kerr.
An analogy doesn't have to fit a situation perfectly.
and if Steve Kerr was on auto pilot, why wasn't Mark Jackson?
LOL complex... they were a top defensive team last season. Kerr himself said the defense was already there.. he just tweaked the offense a little bit.
He's been on autopilot fam.
They were going to be this good regardless. Now in the years to come we'll see how good Kerr is but this shit was a slam dunk job. The GM put together a complete deep team with nice talent combined with elite talent and complimentary players. GS can go big, go small score in the paint (though not consistently from the block) and shoot unbelievable 3's
real talk you could coach this team this far.
Ill give Kerr credit for adjusting on Allen and neutralizing him that is a great coaching move
On paper they are largely due to their style of run and gun offense and the West not having players who can attack the rim off the dribble, however then had their problems vs the Eastern conference teams who had the ability to attack the rim.. Remember OKC also had a similar paper defense team, and look like gangbusters in the Western conference, to me both teams are very similar and one can even make the argument that that Thunder team was actually better. You do know GS was the best defensive team in the NBA this season right?

So if Kerr is on auto pilot. Is Jackson a good coach?
Because from what I've heard he's mediocre at best.
When Kerr took the job you thought they would win 65+ games and make it to the western conference finals?
Golden State was still considered a flawed team, because what team in history has been so perimeter orientated? How many people thought they could really win and had a chance at a title.
Everyone predicted San Antonio, OKC or even the Clips to come out the west.

Jackson is a good coach. We don't know if Kerr is a good coach or not yet. Jackson turned the entire franchise around...the culture everything..taught them how to win. The warriors were the timberwolves post K.G. up to the point jackson arrived. so you have to give him props for that. cannot take that away from him.
Now I knew that curry and thompson would be better than they were the year before.. they're elite players who are still growing...
bogut was healthy and he never was under jackson
and everyone including your boy barnes improved.. naturally.
you can't predict what they'd do but everyone wins in steps. every young team wins in steps these are the steps they're taking going forward the natural progression of the NBA imo.
im not saying kerr is bad i am saying we don't know if he's good yet
The Thunder weren't better because of how Brooks used them. They were a predictable team. Like I said, you have to have Russ and KD score 30 each night just to get 60. Now who on their team can come up with the other 50? Ibaka doesn't use his athleticism on offense. You would never know he was once in the dunk contest. He just clears the lane and shoots jumpers. That's why I think it's a shame they got rid of Harden and signed him, because they don't even use him to his potential.
With Golden State you have people like Iggy, Harrison, Draymond, Bogut who are all actively involved.
Brooks never used his team to it's full potential IMO. Hell look how much Perkins played.
We can agree to disagree![]()

That is just being silly Bills. Kerr receives a lot of credit for getting this team to turn the corner.

I hate when we as fans take for granted all the time a coach spends in the film room, going over scouting reports while putting together a game plane each night. Or all the time that is spent in practice going over the small details.
Sometimes I think we as fans assume players just wake up out of bed to become champions.

Yo,
Who you got making it to the Finals?
On paper I got the Hawks and Golden State. I love Doc but man it is hard to trust the Clippers. Seems like every year they find a way to fold. Man I want to say the Clippers can win it all but I am going to put them in the "Got to see it and prove it first" group.
Cavs have no depth and Kyrie's health is an issue. If he is not fully healthy the Hawks will make quick work of the Cavs.
Golden state's only question is how many first year head coaches have won it all? They look great but so did the Spurs before OKC beat them and so did OKC before the Heat beat them.
